It's only a local person who doesn't read news or history will argue with you,the government of equatorial Guinea said that the have made igbo tribes in equatorial Guinea as the third largest ethnic group in equatorial Guinea.
There are Igbos also in Gabon. My father when he was alive do tell us stories of what happened during the Nigeria civil war. So he told us that Igbos were carried to Gabon as refugees during the war.
Igbos extends to the four cardinal points, starting from kogi benue in the north, edo in the east, rivers bayelsa Delta, and southern cameroun, equatorial Guinea Gabon in the east. And in the Atlantic Ocean through atlantic slave trade in the Caribbean countries of Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic and United States.
@@nonnywilyLong long ago, Ibos lived West of the Niger river with everyone else. Spearheaded by the Binis who have had an insane abhorrence for cannibalism, a proclamation was made prohibiting the practice i.e. cannibalism. Many tribes refused to give up the practice of cannibalism and so were chased out with ferocity. Most of these tribes were chase into the Congo region but a few of them did not go as far. They were banished to the empty forest East of the Niger. These are the Ibos of today and that is why they remained isolated in that forest for most of their existence.

There is Nguru in Mbaise and Nguru in Ngor Okpala. The Nguru in Ngor-Okpala is called Nguru-Ukwu while the Nguru in Mbaise us called Nguru-Nta. My grand mother told me this but i do not know whether they are related. The Nguru in ngor-okpala LGA is the one that is Nguru-Umuaro. So if anybody make some research and find out they are related should open it for all of us to unite. It's always good for brothers to unite & live yogether in peace.
Aaro Chukwu people are Levites and descendants of Aaron God's high priest. As in ancient Israel, the descendants of Aaron and the Levites (ivites or ifites) for pronunciation, have to live in every town of the Israelites.
Wow! This a great insight, no wonder they are found in almost every part of South-Eastern Nigeria. From your post I now understand where name Aro where derived from Aaron = Aro. Thanks a lot.
There is also Aro descendants in Obohia Ahiazu Mbaise LGA Imo state. Other settlement you can trace Aro people include: Emekuku Owerri, Nguru Aro in Ngo-Okpuala LGA, Arondizuogu Imo state etc.
Even in ngor okpala local govt which was formerly headquarter of Owerri Local Govt in Imo State has a community or town called & known as Nguru Umuaro town. I hail from this town and they have brothers as Obube/Ulakwo and Umuowa which is d gateway to imo airport. The were called Obube-Okpaa, Umuowa-Okpaa and Nguru-Okpaa. They were brothers but today Obube/Ulakwo are under Owerri Local govt while Nguru Umuaro falls under Ngor Okpala LGA but these three share boundary within themselves. In Obube town you will see a village known as Umuokpaa which boarders Umuwaoma the village that houses the popular Eke-isu market. Even some of Nguru Umuaro brothers are in UPE town which shares boundary with one of the villages in Nguru Umuaro and others absorbed in others places cos of defaulting to observe & obey traditional laws in vogue then & were ostracized. So Aro and it's offspring are scattered around igbo and niger delta regions.
