When Data is the teacher. I think all modular users that are getting serious need to have a look at the waves. I mean you can clearly see the bat wave.
dem black clippy clips are 'Nest Tamers' from Gammalite Systems. www.gammalite.systems They're from Australia but they have stock out at plenty stores around the world. Handy little things.
Hello, we are looking into DIY, like lots of kits SMD PCBs would be pre produced and it would mainly be the front facing mechanical parts (sliders, switches, sockets etc) so even though the circuit is more complex, the DIY build would still be fairly easy (we hope). We're hoping to have some news on DIY Manic in the coming months. I'll be sure to mention it if/when it happens.
always interesting and sonically inspiring but i cant hear stereo (8:08) after cutting off an ear earlier this year... lol just kidding! ...that still makes me laugh >
well it's a lot more than a dual VCA. It's just exposing where VCAs are used in wave shaping and ring modulation style circuits as they're often the back bone to lots of other things. You're getting several analogue modules of functions ready to switch in, in a simple interface (2 VCAs, 2 bipolar VCA / ring mids, 2 different saturator types, inverters, voltage sources and 2 wave folders) made with lower tolerance higher end parts. I say all that as "for a VCA" seems to really diminish what it is, so I'm curious if that's just the perception when first seeing it, or if that's still the perception after watching the videos? Feel free to give feedback, thanks!
@@DivKid Oof-well, I concede; I admit, I failed to pay attention to the content but was more focused on the size and appearance of the module. If I compare this to other VCA’s in the similar price points-then yeah, it’s a good value. 👍. I appreciate your reply and how you approached it.
Hard sync! Thanks for the great ideas here. I’ll be coming back to this regularly.
Thank you! Glad to provide some patches to come back to
Hard Sync! So many creative ideas. I’ll have to get a Manic now
Hard sync! Certainly give the patches a go on a few things too, lots to be explored and enjoy Manic :)
Such a well thought out module!
thank you
Hard sync! Lots of great tones and tips in here 👍
Glad to hear it, thank you!

Yeah we all learn differently but I think having a visual to tie to sound can be immensely helpful.
Lovely module..... but what about dem black clippy clips? For cables ya? Who makes those?

i know this module is quite professional per say, but is there a chance for DIY?

@@DivKidDIY Manic sounds amazing
I hope so
@@DivKid I'd buy one

thanks, good luck with one ear!

thank you
During times of unrest and economic uncertainty, $380 for a vca doesn’t sound too sexy 😢.

No problem at all and thank you for your reply. It's good to know it's coming across what's actually happening with Manic. Appreciate it.
Hard sync? I hardly know her
