@@leonaa3525 that’s so interesting, I wonder if I would be able to understand any Latvian? and I’m thinking of making a q&a video in my 4 languages so keep an eye out :)

    Hi Dasha, great video!
Your Russian is very good. My situation is similar - I too am Russian-born but US-based here.
I did try to formally learn Russian in school where it was offered. I would say I'm B1 level via CEFR scale, but I want to be more proficient and I'm not sure what resources there are for "From B1 to C2" out there.
I can hold conversations with people and understand what they're saying, but sometimes I struggle and my speaking partner says "If it's easier to say in English go ahead" which I have a bit of insecurity and embarrassment about. I'm also a bit insecure about my slight American accent when speaking it, but I'm getting better about that. Sometimes my reading still sucks, and my writing, well, let's just say I don't use Russian cursive and when people see printed Cyrillic they think it's unusual.
I think more videos in Russian would be cool!

i'm in a very very similar situation! i'm also looking for more b1-c2 content because honestly my strengths and weaknesses in russian are so varied, i'm not too sure where i fit in for CEFR. there's a russian language testing system similar to CEFR called the TORFL, so i've been considering finding some content specifically for that. i've also always had an english accent when speaking but i'd say i've massively improved. my advice for that is to make sure you know how to pronounce every letter of the alphabet very well, especially the more difficult letters like ы, щ, ь etc because i've found that that's what often gives me away as a foreigner! however at the end of the day, don't stress too much about it because most russians have a russian accent when they speak english - they're not perfect either when the roles are reversed, and i've found that natives find it quite cool that i have an accent when i speak russian because i've lived abroad for so long. as for my reading and writing, texting has helped me get used to reading and i find that i can read quite quickly now. for writing, not everyone writes in cursive. block letters are considered quite elementary, but i've developed a handwriting style that i'd say is quite similar to my english writing. like, it's not block letters, but it's kind of a mix between cursive and blocks. what i'm trying to say is don't put too much pressure on yourself to fit into a box, it's all down to practice, but i find that natives are quite understanding when they realise you grew up elsewhere so you may as well embrace it!
