I think the current FM is fine, I don’t know what people want. You can fly stupid and break physics in every sim available. If you fly them to the numbers they are quite a realistic experience.
@@jfavignano yea. But the more realistic physics You have the better. Engines reacting to flying upside down. Surfaces reacting to overspeed and so on.
Hey, question on the rolling cache requirement. 2020 saw horrible performance when this was used. Even this year with all the recent updates, I've seen forums recommend turning completely off as it introduced horrible stutters and FPS issues. Do you know why 2024s implementation of this feature is supposedly better? Or will this just be another pain point?
There is literally no excuse for 2024 not having shared cockpit at launch. We were supposed to get it in 2020 and it never happened. It was a significant selling point for some who wanted to do realistic crew flying. They promised it and never delivered then. I’ll buy into 2024 when that gets delivered.

Is this going to always be there or is it hideable...?
you can turn off all of the UI stuff you see on the screen, just like in MSFS 2020.
With the Aviator edition where you get the entire Asobo aircraft catalog from FS2020, will those models have the new flight model implemented as well? This makes a difference to me, because I own many of those aircraft already.
yes all of Asobo's airplanes have been updated to 24 standards.
Super excited for Career Mode.
Have they covered what happens in career mode if u cant afford to repair your plane?
Самый главный вопрос когда они сделают действующий и редактируемый траффик. Ну и AI диспетчеров посообразительнее.
hope I don't have to buy PMDG 737 again
Can’t wait for the new terrain and vegetation!
I'm on the edge of whether to buy it or not. MFS keeps shutting down on my Series X. PC seems to have more issues shutting down with these flight sims.
I would just wait and see how the launch goes, it's coming up soon
Can’t wait
Interesting how 2020 fanboys always said the flight model was so great, but the flight model is now supposed to be so much better…
@@strikkflypilot927 I do get that, the new FM in MSFS24 will be better than what we have with 2020 for me that is a huge step up.
I don't think you can compare the two because this sim is using a new architecture and multithreading. Performance will be very different.
Can't wait for this
There is literally no excuse for 2024 not having shared cockpit at launch. We were supposed to get it in 2020 and it never happened. It was a significant selling point for some who wanted to do realistic crew flying. They promised it and never delivered then. I’ll buy into 2024 when that gets delivered.
Gotta wait for MS2050 for that one bud
You could always use your controls a free incredible program. We have been flying with it for a long time doing full CRM
@@jfavignano I always had buggy and inconsistent results with it.
@@Autopilot_Austin you both have to have the exact same scenery and you also both have to have your airplanes identical as far as cold and dark. On the PMDG birds you can use the FMC to select cold and dark before you connect to each other. Make sure you go slow and take your time so things don't get desync'd in the FMC. I have many hours using it and honestly 9/10 we have no problems.
Cinematic camera ????? PLEASE
Yep new free cam and camera
@@jfavignanoYEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I was so shocked to hear that MFS20 only has two types of cloud with 3 layers that can be duplicated for 64 different altitudes. That is so lacking compared to other sims where there is 8 types of clouds with unlimited layers, well, whatever the GPU can handle.
ok
Ahhh yessir, who doesn't love the good old Minecraft clouds of X Plane
How many other sims have 8 types of clouds exactly?
@@anony88 My P3Dv5
Do people really care about that?
Regarding the 3 million I can still tell you if your interested. ❤
Jeff, do you know if asobo has fixed the problem msfs2020 has with parts of bridges being under water?
1:12 why is the altimeter or whatever that is magnified by 2-3x on the reflection of the glass
Excellent video Jeff... I have a question, I hope it's not stupid, will I be able to drive the car in new mfs...?
My Xbox is crying… I can hear it
I can't believe road traffic is still so badly implemented 5 years after MFS 2020.
Also the ATC still being absolute pants is unforgivable.
Hope BATC works well with the new sim but I'm tired of having to spend a small fortune on 3rd party software just to get what should be in the sim already.
criptids dlc... chasing the big foot
Do you know what the initial download size of 2024 will be?
About 50GB the Tech Alpha was only 9GB
The first thing, I want to do is to fly into tornado.
Was the installl being 2TB a mistake? I have all world updates and city updates and all freeware from the store instaled plus stuff in my community folder - currentlly sitting at just over 100GB defo nowhere near 2TB?
it was a number Asobo/MS gave out, perhaps they are referring to all their content including airplanes?
WIll there be wildfires in open world free flight? Like simulating where they are in real life.
Yes it uses data from NASA
@@jfavignano Wow!!
Very interesting and well-presented. I am about to subscribe to you.
Thanks Hellmut, welcome to the channel!
Has a student ppl pilote
Im hopping the flight model will be more realistic has I fly tail dragger like j3 cub , jodel d112 and also sometimes aerobatic with cap 10 😊
Hope we will be able to do some nice spins , snap rolls tooo 2
Hey Jeff I found another map mod for ATS that adds more cities to California
Going to bet their estimates for career mode are WAY low. It's what we see in ever game - career modes are incredibly addictive.
12:29 can we really purchase planes from other bundle without buying full bundle. i wonder what will be the price of these planes.
yes
Any word on wide scale bridge modeling? I know specific landmark bridges are modelled, but for instance, expressway overpasses. I saw in the video that they still appear to be black walls.
They have to work on each one, it takes time
@@jfavignano Yikes! Hopefully their new AI tech can suss out overpasses and generate a generic bridge model for them. There are lesser landmark bridges that while not national landmarks (like The Golden Gate, Brooklyn Bridge, etc.), are landmarks in their own right, but look like ass in the 2020 version. The Ravenel Bridge in Charleston, SC for example.
@@jonrd463 yeah it's best to wait for world updates to these areas as someone has to 3d model each bridge. Now if they can use bridge types using AI that would be better than the photogrammetry.
I'm assuming the game will not be able to be pirated with a lot of the content server side unlike 2020. Meh.
No, the MSFS2020 turbulence was not flawed due to lack of head shaking. The whole turbulence physics is wrong there.
That’s not what I said, the lack of turbulence and and windshear is because of the cloud thickness
@@jfavignano Lack of turbulence? There is "plenty of turbulence" in MSFS, so much that I toned it down in settings. It's just physics that's completely wrong so it shakes in wrong manners, in wrong places and in wrong times of day... Btw, the video is awesome, thanks! 🙂
@@Nikola16789 thanks, yes there is turbulence in the current sim but not in the clouds.
Is there any news in whether third party addons would be available on xbox in msfs2024. (E.g Fenix)
Or if there will even be any third party addins coming to xbox in msfs2024?
I hope they've fixed the green roads which seem to plague most of world
Do we have real compressing landing gear that simmulate real bumping at landing?
Seb said it was improved
will 2024 play on Series S?
