Loving the Videos. My dad was a Captain for Matson Navigation on the West Coast. He retired form 50+ years in the maritime industry. We live in Hawaii and I always loved going on the Container ship with him when I could. I loved seeing the Tugs doing their thing and now I get to see what its kinda like inside. It’s great how you do the little briefings now on what we’re about to see, it gives us a great perspective. In this clip I hear you talking about “holland hook”, as it sounded to me, though it was “Howland hook” whereas my brain, being European, thought “Hook van holland” which is a completely different place. Which gave me an idea… You do a great job in a great big port in New York, so how about making some contacts on the other side of “the pond”, i.e Europort which is just as big but the other side of the Atlantic and there are quite a few “RUclipsrs” making clips from there. You could visit them and make some interesting clips how they work and they could do that same, compare notes and experience. Expand the idea to include Gothenburg (the biggest industrial port in Northern Europe), go on to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and others.
I would honestly love to do that! I’ll do my best to make some contacts and make that happen! Thank you for your great ideas and thanks for watching! 🫡
Thanks for your video’s,always interesting I am an ex AB in the British Merchant Navy went to New York the once back in the mid 80,s we were on a tanker loaded from a larger tanker in Mexico had no idea where we moored up

Very cool trip. Quick question, do you know anything about the two masted sailing vessel that is visible our the left window when you were showing the chart? It is pier side and frankly looked more industrial than yacht like. Thanks for these videos, they are very cool.
