    you can find used volca samples and beats at $99. The PO’s are fun, but very limited outside of the tonic and KO. I would agree that those are the only two worth $99. You can also get an NTS-1 for around $99 so thats an option too. Great content as usual.

    Great video.
    It’s really sad the POs got that price hike as they are amazing for playing around but you can’t reason buying an office for 99$ instead of 49.

    Great video! I bought the Tonic last year for 99, and it has been one of my best things I’ve bought! I love it so much! I personally think the K.O. could be more expensive. Sure at $150 not as many would buy it. But that thing is just so amazing. With four layers it’s just so powerful.

    PO’s are what got me going on making my own music to play drums to.
    Had so much fun- got me through Covid.
    Can’t say enough about them, especially with an fx pedal or NTS-1.

    None, considering Behringer will start releasing mini synth at $99; also can get Korg volcas around same price

      I really don't know much about these Pocket Operators, which is why I'm here watching. I have a Korg Volca and a Korg NTS-1. I feel they are a great value for the money.

      Lmao, totally unrelated. Pocket operators are not Bolcas. You also can't even begin to say the 33 or Tonic is "not worth it".

      Behringers mini synths have been pretty disappointing. Not battery powered and no speaker. They’re just small studio oddities. The pocket operators are portable and fun

    In my opinion the KO-33, Megaman-128 and the Tonic-32 are entirely worth the money

    If it will actually arrive I'm going to assume that 55 euro for a brand new PO-24 is a fair price. Was looking at the tonic as well but then I opted for the Volca Drum, which I think was the right decision (and it's not even that much bigger, lol ). Fun stuff, for sure!

    Isn't the Megaman just the Robot with a different sound library? If you can justify the Megaman I think you can also justify the Robot, if you enjoy the sounds it makes.

    You can't find any of them for under like $120 new.

    So assuming most who buy a PO likely buy more than one, what alternatives are around (a single device) in that $297 budget (assuming buying at least 3)

    You know I obviously think the mega man is still worth it at $99. But I've been looking for a tonic for months and can't find one and I refuse to pay $200 or something ridiculous on Reverb. Here's hoping TE brings it back in stock soon, even if it is $99 now.

    Hmmm $99 for the PO 12 Metronome?!? Jk.. sort of, that’s an unnecessary price increase for what it dose

    I've been trying to get my hands on an Office ever since they went out of stock. At $99 now, I am quite upset. Classic TE douchebag move if you ask me.
    I'll stick with my KO and Rhythm, mainly out of principe tbh.

    With the ability to get new sounds off RUclips and MicroTonic, ease of programming, unparalleled portability, and a great price point, nothing comes close to the PO-32 Tonic - it's worth every penny. It would be the best PO by far except for the fact that the other '30 series PO's (K.O., Speak, and the character versions) exist.

    ALL are worth that price tag. PO's seem limited until you start fiddling with the fx and syncing them up.

  • @DJWESG1
    @DJWESG1 Год назад +1

    49.99 would be the better price.
    Its a calculator, its parts not much more than a small radio or tv remote.
    I dont see the justification for the price, never have, their flagship gear is massively over priced too.
    Im buying behringer gear if im spending in this environment.

    • @coffeetablesex
      @coffeetablesex Год назад +1

      you're paying for a lot more than the cost of "parts" (i.e. not just only direct materials but also indirect materials, labor, overhead, marketing, R&D, legal chicanery, etc.). that being said, supply and demand usually influence pricing more than the actual cost of a product. same can be said about any market really. competition is low. popularity is high. prices will follow the latter... cuz that's how the economics do.
      also, fuck behringer. to be fair, it's decent gear. affordable? yes. ethical? not so yes...

    I own a PO-33 and yes, it's a nice small sampler. But is it worth 99€? I highly doubt it (I bought mine used because of that).
    So: Don't give Teenage Engineering so much money. Buy used … or just buy something else.

  • @TrickmanTerry
    @TrickmanTerry Год назад +1

    I really like them all. Each one has different features and punch in FX that make them unique but yeah, not at the prices people are asking nowadays for them. Seems TE is capitalizing on the ebay prices some of theirs go for now. They should just bring back the metal series at $99 each and any of the others at $60. That would count for inflation and market price increases. But this is TE...the designer company.

    i should have got the tonic when i could have the new microtonic update that randomizes and make's new kits for ya with one push of a button is epic. I'd probably pay 99 for a megaman i have robot for the live robot singing but being able to program any note makes it special .

      @@d3tuned378 yeah i originally got the po 12 cause it has full polyphony verses the 4 i believe on the tonic but micotonic having beatspace where ya can basically just randomize new drumkits is amazing micotonic dev also has some new sonic charge synplant 2 app that looks amazing
