It fits though. When you get right down to it, the protagonists of Bioshock games are not the people you play as. Booker, Delta, and Jack were never the protagonists of their stories. Jack was a plot device to advance and end the stories of Ryan and Atlas. Delta was just a plot device to free and motivate Eleanor, and the protagonist of Infinite was always Elizabeth and to a lesser extent, Comstock. Booker was just there to make things happen.
Netflix just announced the bioshock movie. Idk how I feel about Netflix being in control of this series. They don’t have a good track record of movies.
As soon as you mentioned in Episode One, Cyn "Oh Elizabeth , why did you have to stay in debt collection? Why couldn't you just enjoy yourself in Paris?" I HAD TO KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT. one of the most glorious starts to a DLC of all time. I love how you can go in all the shops , browse all you want - simply magical.
You're not a typical player of Bioshock, I'd say. Not many think and connect, and analyze like you do. You're intelligent and that is refreshing to behold. I'm glad you enjoyed this DLC as much as I did.
I've watched a lot of people played this game, A LOT! But you're definitely the most intelligent one, throughout the whole series you picked up on little bits of information and pieced it together far faster than anyone I've ever seen play!
Also…is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brows? No says the man in Washington, it belongs to the poor. No says the man in the Vatican, it belongs to God. No says the man in Moscow, it belongs to everyone…I rejected those answers; instead I chose something different….I chose the impossible…I chose….RAPTURE…a city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientists would not be bound by petty morality, where the great would not constrained by the small! And with the sweat of your brows, Rapture can become your city as well 🤗😊
Elizabeth really did turn out just like her dad. Wracked with guilt over abandoning a little girl and willing to risk everything to save the girl and wipe away her debt. And good old Frank, I've missed you pal. No using some ideology, philosophy, or faith to try to justify being a tyrannical, murdering, hypercritical monster like Ryan, Lamb, or Comstock. Just a good old fashion gangster out to make himself king and is ok with being evil. I do love an honest dishonest villain.
I know I am reeeeeally late but... wasn't the Elizabeth who died from another dimension so not really our Elizabeth or am I just dumb and didn't get it. Didn't she feel guilty for what the other one did and that's why she Is trying to fix it?
@Ale-nv2bo as I have managed to gather she was a god basically after infinite, then when her body died she became like the twins, in-between universes, without corporeal form, she had them send her back to rapture to save the girl but at the cost of being completely normal, she gave up her powers for a chance at redemption.
Yes! The 2nd part of one of the best DLCs ever! A fantastic ending to Booker and Elizabeth's story that perfectly ties into the first game. You go, Cyn!!! Can't wait for the second half. Next series, if you've never played them, I think it would be awesome to see you play through, and I think you would like, the Dishonored games. Very similar vibes and gameplay as Bioshock, just a bit more stealth oriented. Of course, you're still playing other things, loving your Dark Souls playthrough as well. Whatever you play next, I'm there for it, girl! You're definitely one of the better Let's Players. Cheers!!
I think she already played Dishonored. She called Eve mana on the first playthrough of bioshock. And these DLCs aren't that great. Raise more questions. Like the big daddy program. Makes it feel more fantasy sci-fi then realistic. A lot of plot holes. The book does a way better job at explaining Rapture
I would have loved a whole game like this DLC. BTW when fully upgraded peeping Tom is by far the best plasmid in the game. Probably the best one in all three games. It's almost broken it's so good.
16:30 Dude, you are so good at connecting the dots and figuring the story out. I've never seen anyone correctly guess the ending of infinite before. There have been a few that guessed that Booker was Comstock, but they were never serious. They were just like "Wow, wouldn't it be crazy if Booker and Comstock were the same person?" But you actually had a degree of certainty when you figured it out. And Bioshock, especially Infinite, is not an easy game to understand. It took me three playthroughs to properly understand the plot and I like mind bending games like this. I'll definitely be watching more of your videos, this is absolutely incredible.
Thank you so much for going the stealthy approach. I feel like it's more Elizabeth's style, but other let's plays have people just going right back to the standard run and gun. It's a minor thing, but to me your play style shows that you're invested in the characters and story!
It's true that Frank worked with Suchong on Jack. But Frank had to put on a persona as Atlas, and he was with his men. So he couldn't say he knew Suchong.
@@BathysphereMechanic The men he's with right now doesn't know he's Frank Fontaine, judging by that audio log she picked up later. If Atlas said he knew and worked with Suchong that might arise suspicion, and Fontaine has already went to great efforts to make everyone believe that he died.
Funny that you immediately thought of the River Styx - because during that cutscene in the boat with the Luteces, you can actually SEE the souls of the dead drifting in the water around you as the lantern swings back and forth. Clearly great minds think alike. :)
Man so sad you disturbed the guy listening to the radio, you could've heard Courtney Draper (Elizabeth) singing a pretty rendition of a song on the radio.
Actually think they were trying to give Elizabeth's nanny some more back story about her husband. Thinking that musician eager to please was likely him.
The way I see it is Lutece had two super positions both male and female so all versions of them collapsed into two. Elizabeth was only ever female there is only one when she collapsed she kinda became a god but even she had rules and to break them had a cost.
Not sure if others have suggested this game but seeing the stealth sections of this dlc reminds me alot of Dishonored. Since you enjoyed bioshock I think it might be something you'd enjoy.
Hmm: horror game idea: You play as a Rapture Survivor, one of the tiny handful of people who didn't get consumed by the total splicefest Ryan-Atlas War or the Cult of the Lamb, who has been eking out a living by holing up in a barricaded home and sneaking about to scavenge food and drink (or money to buy same from vending machines) whenever they can and avoiding Splicers at all costs. Your character has seen the progression of the Splicers, and so is too terrified of becoming one to use Adam any more than absolutely necessary. Faced with the ever-diminishing resources and realizing they no longer have any options, the character decides they have to escape, and begins a slow, stealthy journey across Rapture to search for a way to reach the Surface and escape the madness, once and for all.
This reminds me of that Bones episode where Booth is stuck on a ship and his military friend helps him get out but it was all in his head but also, he did physical stuff so it couldn't have just been in his head..
Hi , + Thank you for this chapter / Ep.2 , I am so looking forward to part 2 . It is your brilliant commentary that truly sets your videos apart from the rest . I'm surprised you didn't notice (or at least didn't comment on) the painter, M. Seurat at 2:30. His most famous work "... la grande Jatte" was sitting there on the sidewalk.
53 minutes in, and I was surprised you didn't pick up the health kit in Suchong's lab, but I will assume that you figured out that you can stockpile those later. Not like you've needed one yet :)
Also this is a basic explanation of the worlds/ realities: First World: New York, 1912: Booker Dewitt, Unnamed Wife and Anna Dewitt (aka Elizabeth) Second World: Columbia, 1912: Father Zachary Hale Comstock, Lady Comstock, Songbird, Rose Lutece, Daisy Fitzroy and Elizabeth Alternate World: Unclear: Robert Lutece Alternate Columbia: Booker joins the Vox and becomes a Martyr. Alternate Columbia: Elizabeth becomes Comstock's heir and eventually burns down New York. Third World: Atlantic Ocean, Rapture, 1930-1968: Andrew Ryan, Jasmine Jolene, Jack, Frank Fontaine (Atlas), Brigid Tenenbaum, Sofia Lamb and Eleanor Lamb BAS: the Comstock you play as here (named Booker) is not from any of these worlds as far as we know. As Elizabeth stated there are many possibilities and Lutece said "things get set in motion" trying to stop the original Comstock had severe consequences.
I don't know who wrote you that Booker jumping realities makes him aging, nor where did he get that from. Burial at Sea's Booker looked older because he WAS older. Before Booker becomes Comstock, meets Lutece, creates Columbia, becomes sterile, takes a wife and decides to kidnap an Anna, several years pass. The Booker you guide through part 1 is actually an aged Booker who already did all that things Comstock did, through several years. The difference between him and all the Comstocks is that this one probably didn't get a baptism (which is why he survived Booker's drowning), but still went through all the other stuff, and decided to go to another dimension to get Anna, but this time he accidentally decapitated her, which induced a change of heart into him and made him escape in another dimension, to Rapture.
Entirely incorrect. This was “the final Comstock” as Elizabeth put it. Comstock = accepted the Baptism. The only difference is this Comstock witnessed Anna lose her head instead of Pinky like all the other ones. This Comstock wasn’t Booker at all. This is still after the Baptism.
If more people played games like you then maybe games like this would be still viable, the twitchy tocktock raised generations just have too little attention span to really appreciate the nuance of these types of games.
i can help you with a few things without spoilers: 1. you are in the THE real rapture...the one from Bioshock and Bioshock 2. 2. BAS 1 n 2 is catalyst between Infinite and Bioshock...anything that doesn't make much sense like there being vigors or new tech in Rapture is kind of a necesary thing we have to ignore or deal with. the game had to justify it because there wasn't a way around that (because that is what happens when you do a prequel after a sequel unfortunately). 3. although there being Vigors in Rapture doesn't make much sense you could technically argue that only Fontaine Futuristics sold them and the department store was sunk so that was the only place that had them. (that is my logic anyway).
@@OWmyDragonBallz it depends which particular product you are talking about; vigors/plasmids or big daddy/ songbird or other products. many things in Columbia were designed thanks to Rapture...including the mechanical horse, firemen and handymen. in terms of vigors/ plasmids it's hard to say who took that from who but they certainly stole some ideas from one another. in terms of the big daddy/ songbird...songbird was far more powerful but there was only one.
@@IDyce88So to clear it up a bit Suchong made plasmids and big daddies. Fink saw Plasmids and made them drinkable instead of injectable amd called them Vigors he also saw big daddies and made songbird. Suchong eventually saw Fink stealing his ideas so he started stealing back he made drinkable plasmids for Fontaine, but Ryan eventually sunk Fontaine's shops so those drinkable plasmids were lost to his store. Rapture just kept using the injectables under Ryan (since he "nationalized" all of Fontaine's businesses).
@@IDyce88 I wouldn't say obsolete more like lost. Suchong is dead by the end of Burial at Sea and Elizabeth having collapsed a lot of Columbias and her super position means no more tears after Burial. They just can't be made anymore. I'm sure fink and suchong were smart enough to make the oxidizing agent only something they could make. Ryan can still make injectable plasmids so that's what he sells. I always wonder if drinkable plasmids lowered the risk of people going splicer. Definitely didn't stop it, but maybe lowered.

Suchong copied Finks ideas after he found out he was copying from him. Two way street as he put it.
@@wil2560 pretty much yeah, the idea of drinkables was an obsolete design compared to injectables...the future of Bioshock proved that.
You could consider knocking someone out for education purpose ? xD
