      I have done the same with other cars, just remember to turn on in city and during a/c function, and turn off upon exiting vehicle.

      @@davidwheeler7613 That's what I did. Battery +, to the switch, to ground. Works great, I put the switch on the dash right beside the steering wheel. I used a marine grade pull switch and two pieces of solid copper wire from residential 120-volt wire.

    Good video, I have 2 resistors one for high speed one for low speed. I only have 1 fan. Should I still wire them together?

    • @VBuilds
      @VBuilds  3 месяца назад

      Just use the high speed one, no need to wire them together

    • @VBuilds
      @VBuilds  3 месяца назад

      In case you want to run the fan at low speed … use the low speed relay,
      if you want to run the fan at high speed use the high speed relay.

    I have done a bypass with a switch that comes right into the car so its very convenient to operate. U should have done the same. Switching on and off from outside is not soo cool but I guess it's bcos u just doing a video tutorial.

      I just did a temporary solution… because its not good to keep it permanent… the fan is not always on when the car is running… it needs to be on only when the car reaches a certain temperature… and this is done by ECU … so not a good idea to keep a permanent switch inside the cabin… just a temporary solution unless you fix the real issue

    Permanent by pass is a bad solution. Radiator fans should not be running all the time, for optimum temp of engine radiator fans keep the heat to the right level. Fuel avg will be destroyed if engine is running cooler than 90 degrees.

    Is the same relay responsible for radiator fan for engine as well as ac? My car has single fan. If ac is switched on fan works but when only engine is in fan is not working.

    • @VBuilds
      @VBuilds  Год назад +1

      For single fan yes the same relay is responsible… but the radiator fan only turns on when the engine temperature is high… it doesn’t run all the time. So the radiator fan may not run when the engine is not very hot. If your car is not oer heating you should not worry.

      Shouldn’t be a problem, some cars a re configured like that… if the fan starts when the car is running hot.. you should be good to go
