Between the Fw-190D-9 and A-8, which should I get? Which is better?
Their similar and different at the same time. The D9 is faster, more suitable to fight fighter like P51 , superior to the spitfire in any type of alt , except turn ratio. But in servers like 4YA it doesnt have mw50 and is limited to later mission.
The A8 is fast but not as a dora, it has more firepower but bad turn rate and climb rate. It's a hit and run tactic plane. Is as robust as a P47 , can absorb a lot damage.
If you goal is to fly multi-player, especially 4YA, I will recommend the A8 but both Fw190 require tactics and situations awareness, due the fact you will be facing far superior enemies.
@@eagle1_160 I will buy Dora. Thanks for the breakdown! You are a crazy pilot. I used to be one of the best in War Thunder. Now it's time to master DCS.
@@BalticDude_DCS Also not mentioned: the quality of the A8 as a module is significantly higher than the D9. The sounds are more realistic and slightly more snappy, and the internal and external cockpit resolution is higher, as well as higher in quality and more photo realistic overall.
The D9 also has some unclickable mystery switches, and the gun safety is automated like IL2 or FC3 would do
