Groovin' High - Rob McConnell

The PVCC Big Band opens its set of the May 2, 2012 Spring Concert performed at Paradise Valley Community College with the most recorded bebop tune of all time -- "Groovin' High". The song is a feature for Chris Light on alto and Thomas Schulz, Sr. on trumpet. When Dizzy and Charlie Parker first performed this tune, the music world was stunned with the virtuosity displayed.
