This is painful..i used to chase my mother around various drug houses around the bay area in Oakland Cali thinking i could save her..many of days i would beat on doors knowing she was behind them but dudes with guns would run me off..i had no power at the age of 15 to protect her. Just typing this made me cry and im now the age of 48 and though i placed those memories in the back of my head never to be remembered this video placed me back in that time. Jelly Roll verse is literally what i had to do.This song is a gift and a curse. Shout out from west monroe la. I thought i had escaped those memories... but clearly i have not... via this song.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR JOYNER'S ALBUM!!!! 2 MORE DAYS!! Btw, Jelly was an addict himself. So it definitely made even more sense for him to be apart of this song.
Yeah jelly roll forsure did go through that shit. Glad he is open to talk about it and let everyone know how much he is grown from it. Takes a real human to admit addiction and really dive into it and letting the world to see. But Joyner is probably one of the most SLEPT ON in the game people really don’t know about how talented he is 💯
This song brought tears outta me... going through a lot rn and struggling with mental health. This said a lot of things i usually cant put into words 🙌🏾 Made the fight a bit easier to face today 💪🏾
jelly is a recovering addict and so is Joyner and he talks from both sides and really knows how to tell a story from both perspectives cause this really hit me in the heart my brother is in the grips of the disease and this song helps me really learn to feel again. how to live for me and sit back till they want help. this music saves lives bro! love the clutch squad!!!!
Man, i used to never think I'd use drugs, and for the record, I've never done anything but weed and alcohol but it's been enough to disrupt my path in life. So, from going to never wanting to be in that lifestyle to going the opposite way, I've been on both sides of this argument with many people, especially myself. This song really makes me feel like it's speaking directly to me.
Hey dub, was watching some old videos of yall & just gotta say you look great dude. Shocked me & commend you on the hard work brotha, most of us been big but some make the choice to change 💪🏽❤️
Yo I gotta be honest I used to not like the reactions (not cause of their reaction their reactions is why I keep checking up on the channel) but, bros yalls videos get better and better and I understand that it takes time to be there but, I always double check your channel for videos. Much love and can’t wait for more blessings going your way cause it’s deserved!
Love the reaction videos of all the fire shit that comes out. Like that yall know about bars n really be clownin with it at the same time. Appreciate yall 💯
You can't be there for someone who is an addict all the time when they are self destructing or youll get blown up with them. Be there when you can, but many addicts need to hit rock bottom, including losing their friends and family, to recover. Some never do. My sister in law has two kids under 3 and is currently in the hospital after doing crack. She's had immense support for years and years and he we are.
My best friend who was a big brother to me is on meth right now day to day and I try to help so much but this other side of the song made me realize maybe I'm not helping the way I need too
I want to dedicate this to my sister. We tried to connect on more than one occasion but it's still just nothing but Lies and mistrust. I reach out to her and try to help as much as possible. Keep in mind, I grew up with her from birth and I just cannot. I can't try anymore.
I was so bad off on opioids from 2019-2022 that I was stealing from my own family and work. I’m 2 years sober now and reconnected with most of my family, including getting my daughter back from CPS. That life is a fucking nightmare. If anyone reading this is using, I truly hope you start recovery soon ❤
I have a brother in law from H-Town. He always talking about going to 3rd Ward and doing some fuck shit. Almost every year for the past 4 years he's OD'd. We tried talking and getting him help for years and on the flip side, I can't tell him to change his ways, that's just something he has to want for himself. So any day now, I'm praying he's doing fine but at the same time, any day we could be getting a call from the hospital. God knows my wife ain't ready, God knows my brother in-law's son ain't ready. Love your loved ones and hold them tight tonight
Not the first time Jelly's jumped on a song about self destruction. Tech N9ne ft. Krizz Kalico and Jelly Roll "EF U" (Easier For You) is another banger from years ago.
As a recovering addict (10/18/11) had to leave so many behind that loved when got clean. So many didn't make it to this side. But can only show by example that this crackhead who used to smoke a quarter a day. Is now living my best life ever CLEAN. No it wasn't easy but hustling a Q a day was a full time job. Addiction is a disease BUT the problem is deep within me...
I’m just an anchor for my sister. I will always stay the same for her. Whether she pulls through her demons or not. I’m not the one to tell her what she needs to do. I’m just her younger brother is all I need to be.
Hey guys, I actually know the guy who portrayed the addict in the vid, he’s friends with my fiancé. They used to all freestyle together, including Joyner. Mic made a similar song/ vid 4 years agohe called ‘Way Down We Go’. Please check it out, cuz he’s mad talented. His vid is on my channel, in the only public playlist. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Hey my brothers, in case you didn’t see my comment on the other video about “wong” or whatever. I love u guys. But I wish u would ease up on the Asian jokes! Many blessings!!

People can say what they want about Joyner, but this song will literally save someone's life.
Ain’t nobody better than Joyner when it comes to story telling.

This song is emotional like that tom macdonald Church song I appreciate songs like these
Will not have to take my medicine
It’s pretty much impossible to be “there” for someone in their addiction and not dealing with it
This song is great, well done boys.
Now. When you getting to BDWJ's OMG videos?! You're like 10 behind now.
