    To survive and make it every month, RM4k - 5k. To be comfortable, RM8k - 10k at least.

    I've been a huge fan of Mr Money TV. However the questions been asked it's not even related to "How much salary we need to survive in Klang Valley". Specially the question of highest level education what does it have to do with living in Klang Valley? And the worst of it is guessing a stranger's salary based on their highest level of education? Personally it came of pretty judgemental. I hope Mr Money TV can reconsider about asking the "question".

    • @TSMSiemens
      @TSMSiemens 9 месяцев назад +10

      I personally dont understand the objective of guessing people's salary. How does it relate to the video title? Very disappointed in this video.

    • @SoShiVinz
      @SoShiVinz 9 месяцев назад +4

      Based on the small small sampling that they gather, it shows education level doesn’t really translate to salary.
      And it also indicates different range of salary will have different perception towards “comfortable” living. It fluctuates from person from 3k to 10k. It shows the higher you are earning, the higher “comfortable” standards are.
      It’s all linked actually, just not translated into wordings well behind the intention.

    • @jamesmadison3108
      @jamesmadison3108 8 месяцев назад +1

      @TSMSiemens it's all about having views and interest for people to watch the video. Then they earn more money out of views. That's the bottom line of all this content ain't it? Haha..

    • @davidtakius
      @davidtakius 8 месяцев назад

      Meaning that Mr Money TV is also doing a collective data base on demographics level and how much these people are earning, and if you've been to a University and did your FYP you know what I meant, and you can fill-in the rest of the answer yourself.

    I live in Bangsar South. Monthly income 2k. I live alone. Not married. No kids. Not in a relationship. I rent a room rather than a unit. No personal transport, only rely on public transport. I eat once and sometimes twice a day with two dishes. I cook at home rather than eat out. Most expensive thing I own is a gaming laptop. Monthly rent plus utilities under 800. Have no personal debts, credit debts, loans or pay later bills that I need to pay for. No membership fees. No mortgages or down payments either. I save at least 1000 per month. It's survival mode, but it's quite comfy. It's doable. There are cheaper rooms too, giving u more financial leeway.

    5k is too low in KV. RM8-10k is a comfortable range with extra cash.

  • @davidtakius
    @davidtakius 8 месяцев назад +8

    In my opinion, if single income earning RM10k with wife/husband and having kids living in KV, it's really a B40 actually after nett, and they are driving perodua only, provided that other half who is also working, then their lifestyle should be at ease.

    I think in Klang Valley, there's also a huge disparity between living standards between localities. Such as comparing those in Cheras to Hartamas or Shah Alam to PJ. If this experiment were to be done in Shah Alam or Cheras/Kajang, I bet the answer would be very different.

    it depends on what kind of lifestyle (salary for single person)
    1. surviving mode- using bike, rent a room, eat rice n 1 dish, or cook at home (rm2k-3k)
    2. comfortable living- have a proton saga at least, own an apartment at least, eat 3-4 meal with few dishes, own all the needs and some wants, some light travelling (3k-6k)
    3. luxury living - own a landed or higher end condo, own car price rm100k and above, eat high eat restaurant sometimes or often, and able to buy mostly branded stuff and travel like weeks staying in 5 stars hotels ) (6k-15k)

    if you outer Kuala Lumpur such as Puchong, Putrajaya, Kajang, Shah Alam, Sg Long is really cheap places to stay when you are working KL area or outer. Depends on ur salary actually.
    Monthly idea salary would be great is RM7,000 above because its easily relax more than RM7,000 below
    My salary = 5 digits... not even flexing its all hard work and think wisely before spending or doing smth that involves with money.

    Come to work in Singapore. Security guards and waiters/waitresses salaries are already minimum $2k. Suitable for those with SPM or SPTM qualification. This is equivalent to MYR7k or more, not counting overtime pay. If one works in admin or in factories run by MNC, can get close to MYR10k or more per month. Suitable for those who have a relevant diploma/degree. Better still for those who studied overseas. If work long enough in SG, can get PR status and will be getting CPF. Then, retire in M'sia with a few houses/condos to collect rent in time to come. SG treats M'sians with fairness and respect.

    I disagree that you don’t need to worry about what you study vs what you do. For someone who depended on the government to fund her education (private education is too expensive), it is just sad to see people getting places in public uni but ended not utilising what they learned when there are lots of people who need the opportunity but get none. - Don’t study for the sake of a paper, many others needed that opportunity to make bring them / their family out of the B40 range.

    To be comfortable, RM100k a month would be good I reckon. I already make RM35k a month in my early 30s (KLCC area) but I still feel quite poor sometimes hmmm. I am still very careful with my expenses.

      Unfortunately most people won't even see the light of day of 35k a month. Let alone 100k

    To some people, comfortable means as long as all needs are met, get to enjoy a bit here and there and have some savings.
    To some people, comfortable means I GET TO GO OUT ENJOY KAU KAU, don't get to enjoy enough means not comfortable.
    😅 tl;dr - expenditure vs expectations.
