Make sure you get onions that are adapted for the south. They are photo sensitive so when the days get shorter, that's when they start bulbing. Up north, the days in winter are much shorter than summer and they make the bulbs very easily. In the south, it can be trickier, so you need to make sure you have a local adapted variety.

I love the "improvements" that Helen made in her version of the weeks but I miss the hard cover of the hobonichi one! That's what has been holding me back from making the commitment.

Hi Julie! I'm in cetral Texas (moved in 2022) and I found pretty good success starting my seedlings for tomatoes, peppers, basil, etc about 4-6 weeks before our last frost date. I believe I started them Beg of Feb. I would start carrots, lettuce and all the cooler loving stuff now.

Thanks for being real and I loved the video. Hopefully no one out there expects your planners to be perfect. It’s a shame that it has become the expectation for content creators to be that way. I just love to see how you are using them so I can get ideas for mineI Sometimes when videos show planners that are “perfect,” it makes mine seem like a big mess so any imperfections in videos are welcome. 😂
...and really, what is perfect anyway? It's so subjective.

heya, I was wondering where you purchased your page tab divider stickers from? they look soo userful! :)
I put my Hobo cousin in my usual cover that I've been using since 2021 and it's not fitting nicely. I didn't even think about the paper change possibly being why it's not working like usual.
@Mydandeliondiaries keeps a garden journal and I believe she is also in Texas. She shows her set up, etc. I also built a couple raised beds and had a small garden last year. I am still learning. Good luck with the garden. Maybe there is something you can put around the outside of the beds to keep the bugs away??
I hear putting marigolds in the beds can help keep pests away!
@@JuliesPlans I have heard that too. I didn't have pests last year but think I got lucky. I'm looking to be more proactive this year.
I would check with your local agrilife extension office. They could be helpful with plants that do well in your area. :)

Is anyone else having issues with fountain pen skipping on the new Tomoe River paper? My Twisbi eco was working perfectly on my previous Hobonichi
Mine doesn’t skip at all! I use fountain pens on my daily pages for journaling :)

I made it! It's actually an Avery tab with a Coffee Monsters Co sticker on it!

what are the advantages of the hobonichi or the hobonichi cousin? I currently use the HP vertical. I am seeing alot of people using this type of planner.
The paper! And specifically with the cousin- it's an all-in- one planner with annual, monthly, and weekly and daily pages all in one compact book.
How do you insert the vellum sheets ?
They glued right to the pages :)
Can anyone share exactly they are putting in their hobonichi with all this space. I’m lost
It’s different for everyone. This size may not be for you if you’re worried about filling it up. Be open to the possibility of blank space and blank pages.
