I know! Weather is felt differently by people: what's cold for me might not be for you and vice versa...I'm in the UK, so the weather is always a topic 😅
I like the white space it looks like snow ! Perfect for colder days ❤ yu could draw like a black wavey line and pretend it's the top of a mountain or hill or something too ehhe
As a lifelong midwesterner, I can say with absolutely certainly that there are so many other midwesterners for whom “living where it’s cold” is their entire identity. They do it to other people in the Midwest as well. Cold is subjective. If it’s colder than you’re used to/than you have systems for… then it’s cold! This Midwesterner hates being cold and I have so much empathy for those in the south when it gets cold.
Love the kits you are using! I find it makes my weekly planning so much easier because I love decorating but I sometimes don't have the time or mental space to figure out how to draw/doodles. Stickers make it so easy!
I’m in the Midwest and I agree with you that it’s like a sport to pounce on a a southerner when they complain about the weather. Smh. Again I live in the Midwest and I hate driving in the snow but if I say that or cancel plans I’m going to get a response of “ it’s not that bad.” 🙄 Stay warm and stay safe! ❤
I love your spread that you did! I am surprised that you got such cold weather in Texas! I didn’t know that the cold weather reached down as far as Texas! I live in Michigan and man was it cold for a while! The schools were cancelled for two days because the weather was too cold. I am glad that you didn’t loose power. That truly would be awful in the winter. Thank you for sharing you planner with us! I really enjoyed it. ❤️❤️❤️
I live in Kentucky/ Midwest? Southeast? We have snow/ice/freezing rain each time a front comes through. Our road departments are not equipped enough to have safe driving here. People up north don't have a clue. Our road departments try to pre-treat the roads, but then it starts raining or freezing rain and it gets off the road. We have had it all this week. Our schools are equipped now with all laptops and wifi for the kids to have nti days. We all just stay home unless we have to work. I get it!!
Some people like me hate the cold and I reserve the right to complain about it every year. Being a native Texan, it comes with the territory. I hate winter! Plus I have degenerative arthritis and those of us with this condition hate the cold. I respect everyone’s opinion about the weather and expect the same. I love your videos!
I despise being cold and being from MO, I can say it really doesn't matter where you are, if you are at -6 degrees windchill, it is the same type of cold....just like a pound weighs a pound no matter where you are. I actually feel worse for those in areas that don't have the infrastructure to handle these temps.
I live in Florida and people give me crap about the weather all the time. Here we are freezing when it gets down to 50 or below. Everyone else makes fun.
Seriously- I have lived in Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Texas, and Washington state and cold is cold wherever you are. The first year I lived in Texas I chuckled at the people in mittens when it was 50 degrees and the next year *I* was wearing mittens at 50 degrees! And then I chuckled at the folks in Seattle (when I was still in Houston) unable to drive in winter. And then I MOVED here. Y’all ice on steep hills = nothing to be done for it. No amount of salt fixes that, and that’s only IF the infrastructure exists. It doesn’t exist here (or in Texas). What I’m saying is that I’ve learned not to be a jerk since I was an arrogant youth. Apparently some folks haven’t grown up and should work on that! Anyway- your spread is so cute and I’m glad you got thru the cold! I’ll keep my fingers from typing mean things about those who manage the infrastructure but… it’s hard to do. So: 🤬😡🤬
Living in Scandinavia, it has been horrible weather with snow up to my window! But I don't see the point of arguing about who has it worse... It seems kinda juvenile, to be honest. Hope you're having a good week. It was nice having your video in the background while planning my own week. Thank you :)
My son is in Texas for Army training and we’re from the Midwest and he said it’s cold there. Cold is cold. People need to be nice. And theoretically we in the Midwest should be used to it (I’ll never get used to it) but it’s been nasty in Texas. Stay safe and warm.
cute spread! I am in New York but I feel bad because of actually working in the utility/electric industry I understand how Texas' grid is configured ! Also, when it is colder in Texas than New York, ya know something isn't right!!!
I am with you Julie. I live on the coast of California so we have a very moderate climate. That is what I am used to. Below 50 feels freezing to me - to me and I am miserably cold from it. I pay the high home values and taxes because I can’t live in too hot or too cold of climate. Which keeps me from the inner areas of Ca. That’s me and I don’t want to live in those below zero or above 90 climate - my paragotive😊
I love the storygraph. I've used both goodreads and storygraph together for a couple years. But this year, I've fully transitioned to storygraph only. Thanks for the fun video, and keeping me company while I play in my planners :)
This is me coming back from a several month planner break. 😂 I just had to say…Gurla! People are so ridiculous! When I heard you had wild weather, my first thought was, “oh no, the power grid!” I’d like to believe most people had that reaction. Like someone once said, “Don’t let the b***ards get you down!” Here’s to sunshine in the weather and in people’s DMs!
I am so sorry people can be mean. Weather can affect your day whether you’re used to it or not. I agree, if you can’t be nice, then just comment to yourself and move along. Weather isn’t a competition-no need to create one.
You give me planner vibe goals. My spreads are a hot mess like me. And yeah, I have a friend in IL, and she's like I feel bad for y'all in TX because you don't have the infrastructure. We had faucets dripping and luckily didn't have pipes break. Plus side hubby is a plumber so he could fix it. But it was so cold. I'm just happy it wasn't like 2021. That was truly brutal and I never want to relive that.
Haha!!! Tell them, Julie… “It’s not a __ contest!! 😅 I agree - I would be told that when we lived in Houston. Then they would say, but you’re from Michigan- that doesn’t mean anything. I wasn’t born on a glacier!! Texas is not built up for the frigid temperatures. I’m glad you and your family are safe and suffered no damage or power outages. My daughter and grandchildren live near the southwest side of Texas, and they also had harsh cold weather. Continuously sending good vibes your way!!
Just remind those midwesterners when they are complaining about the heat next summer - they don’t know heat like Texas heat 😂 also, Midwestern here 🙋🏼♀️ I just hate extreme temps in general. 72 and mostly sunny all year round, please 😊 Love the AtA Chilly Quotes, I used them this week too!
Why are people so ridiculous?! I live in SW PA and it’s been below freezing for like a week. But it’s January in PA. It is what it is. No one likes freezing weather, regardless of where you live and especially if you’re not used to it!
Cute spread! I like how open and more simple this spread looks 😻 I feel like my spreads are often really full. I do think it’s aesthetically pleasing but sometimes I enjoy this look as well❤ Btw- your videos seem so carefree while mine seem so stressful lol. I don’t get it! 😂
lol please know that not all midwesterners are that annoying about weather! Born and raised in the midwest here and I will never be that person that’s like “oh that’s nothing 💁🏼♀️” blah blah 😅 also, your nail color is gorgeous!
I don’t get it, cold is cold and if you’re not used to getting that cold then you’re cold, dammit 😂 I live in Vancouver Washington and we got a couple of inches of snow so we were cold and seeing your pic of just ice….no thank you! Love your attitude about it, is this a pissing contest 😝
I love watching your cousin pwm videos! You inspired me to get a techo & I love it!! It’s prefect for the stage of life I’m in. Finally planner peace ❤️. So thank you!!! Also don’t mind my contact name. My son & I share a channel so he felt the need to give it his name. 😂
Oh, good lord, I can't believe the ______ contest with the weather. Good grief! It almost feels like a schoolyard fight, "my temperatures are colder than yours!" 🙄🤣 2024 is starting... interesting... we were above zero yesterday, too! Cheers! Stay toasty, Julie!! I always enjoy your videos.
Remember when weather used to be a small-talk topic? 🤷🏻♀️ Glad things are gradually improving. Alaska can have their weather back! and maybe the Equator can send us a little love… I’m glad you shared your Hobonichi pages. I am always looking for ideas on how I can change up the way I use the various pages.
Im from Michigan and i don't put southern warmer climate regions down for not knowing how to handle snow and freezing temperatures. Im sure it is scary for you because your cities don't have the equipment to manage in these circumstances.
People delight in being jerks. It seems to be the way of the world. But some of us still have decently. Love your spread!

yeah ours tried the pre-treating route and it really didn't help at all :(

They are the same way about Florida when it gets cold for us down here. Have a little grace people lol

Thank you!
I'm a Midwesterner(Iowa) and I'm not interested in a pissing contest. How about we all just agree that winter and being cold sucks! 😂
Seriously! I’ll take fall or spring any day!
Love your teal nail color!

hopefully this morning is our last day with pipes dripping! We should be back above freezing by lunch!
@@JuliesPlans Thank goodness! I'm over the cold. I'm betting we get another cold snap in Feb. But we'll see.
Yeah, you don’t have salt for the streets etc. ice!!!!😮
You can turn that weather talk around in August when it's 120* in Texas and those midwesterners just would not survive.
🤣🤣🤣
I love watching your videos. Def gives me cousin goals but I can’t quite seem to get it right!! 😂 Keep posting !! Thanks😊
