@@marcmiyamoto Oh I should add that regular TI-84 Plus CE -t calculators should also have ASM. For now you can still probably get them new with ASM but used calculators will definitely still have it.

Thank you! Unfortunately, there is currently no way to increase the storage capacity of either the RAM or Archive. Even if you somehow replaced them with higher capacity compatible components, the OS was written to only use as much as the original capacity. just wanted to address that in your video in the cemetech thread, you had clipping as one of the songs on your playlist during the testing.... Get it how ya live, or live till ya get it.
Wow this is megacool! I have a question regarding the TI that I just bought. i bought the beautiful TI 84 plus ce python edition (what a mistake) and I soon realized that assembly isn't present out of the box :( Is there any possibility to still run it or do you think there will be some day? Basic is kinda limited when it comes to fun games and programs.
I'm sorry mate. Although there will eventually be an exploit that allows it, I have no idea when it will come around. I'll be sure to make a video about it when it does.
Hpmuseum.org is a forum dedicated to HP calculators. It's not all that active so you could hang out on Cemetech.net or tiplanet.org which normally focus on TI calculators but it'd be awesome to get some more HP people there.
Hi, I have the Ti 84-Plus Ce and when I plug the USB cable into my Mac running High Sierra, it charges but won't show up on the page for connected calculators? Is the cable the problem, or just the app troubleshooting? Maybe the Mac itself? Needing to know, taking a closed-note test for Advanced Algebra soon and need to download some Apps. Thanks!
OK, I'm not too familiar with Mac. Do you have another machine you can test the cable on? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling TI-Connect CE? Does your Mac recognize the device is plugged in at all? (Do you see a Texas Instruments device in device manager?)
Just found out about this project, very interesting using bluetooth. I did a very similar project but it used a 3G cellular module with an arduino to make the phone call. I never even thought of using bluetooth, that would of saved a lot of space. Check out my project on my channel if you are interested.
Nothing special, anyone with a rudimentary understanding of advance elecromechanical engineering can do it too! Jokes aside, I actually don't know much about the hardware of electronics. I've just been teaching myself through trial and error and looking up answers when I'm uncertain or confused on something. You don't need to be a genius to start doing this, you just need to have goals and motivation!
I just thought 'This seems like a cool idea' so I took apart the calculator to see if I could make this work with basic tools and soldering experience. I after looking at it, I figured I could probably do it so I decided to give it a go. It doesn't always work first try, there was a lot of trial and error involved in this project but I didn't give up so I eventually overcame all the issues!
That's epoxy to prevent components from getting knocked out of place. It's not vital for the calculator to function, but you'll likely accidentally pull off a component trying to remove it. Why do you need to remove it?
Unfortunately it's not really around anymore (it was released in 2014) and the one I found is way overpriced ( www.amazon.com/OrigAudio-Jellybox-Bluetooth-Wireless-Speaker/dp/B00MW8D60Y ). You're far better off finding a small board that's purpose built for diy projects. You'll probably get stereo audio which will sound better than my mono audio setup.
Heh. I honestly don't recommend you try this yourself since it deals with moving and soldering the battery which has the chance of creating a dangerous short circuit. But if I come up with a safer way then I would certainly consider making a tutorial there!
@@TheLastMillennial OK great, I'm probably going to do this anyways to my calculator because I have a microsoldering kit and some ifixit tools along with my own ohmmeter to check the resistance and voltages. Plus I'm planning on doing a similar Bluetooth speaker mod, but I'm going to try and cut a small rectangular hole above the lcd for an old smartphone earpiece speaker. I'll let u know how it goes... I might even make a YT video on it! 👍
Oh sweet! If you need any help or have any questions about the calculator's hardware feel free to ask me. It'd also be cool if you could post your progress on Cemetech.net which is a calculator forum!
