    Thanks for sharing, it is so beautiful. We have many guppy fish, we love them. Btw, what camera did you use?

    Ive been keeping guppies for a long time and glass bellies are some of the ones that i never manage to breed successfully, unlike other guppy variants where i get 20+ of the fry surviving till adulthood, i only ever got 3 to 8 of em surviving

    • @TheDave333
      @TheDave333  Год назад

      They are a bit more delicate (fry and adults) and smaller than regular guppies. The fry also seem to be heavily male, rather than female. It may be temperature dependent.

    I just received my second order (fm a different seller) of "see through" ribbon koi guppies fm eBay and it's another flop. These koi breeds don't have the visible digestive track, they come virgin, they're only 1.5cm, and the males' gonopodium are so long they are useless to inseminate. I'll check out the other listings and ask before I purchase this time. Thank you for bringing awareness to this very interesting breed of guppy.

    Dave, this was strangely beautiful and captivating to watch, (which I have come to expect from you) sorry the Mum didn’t make it. It was also very informative, they are quite lovely with the intestinal patterns visible. I am certain that humans wouldn’t look anywhere near this exquisite without our skins. Thank you very much for sharing these interesting glimpses into the world of aquarium fish in your delightful and unique way.🖤🇨🇦

    I also noticed some stillborn fry too... they just fell to the bottom.. and - well - were picked up by the next passing fish in the tank.. I was wondering if I'd done anything wrong, but I guess it's just part of the cycle.

    I used to breed guppies when i was a kid. They were so cute. My dad destroyed my little aquarium saying i have a mental issue or something as i am not doing anything else other than taking care of guppies. 🥺

    How many fry usually survive to adulthood?

    • @TheDave333
      @TheDave333  2 года назад +1

      Somewhere are 20 or so, it depends on how big the mother is.

    Is the lack of color genetic. In other words is the trait a recessive gene?
