I've got a female guppy separate with a male guppy in a 10 gallon. She seems pregnant, but not quite close to giving birth yet. Excited for the babies. Thank you for the info!
Do we need to seperate the pregnant female guppies?
@@alonso6963 yes
Did they give birth yet?
This video about how to identify pregnant guppies was extremely helpful. Thank you! I just had one of my female guppies give birth!
I just got four guppies yesterday, and the guy gave me two male and two female, and said the females are already pregnant. He said to bring the babies back when they have grown a little and he'll trade me food for them. He keeps the fish local, so these are healthy fish, and want to do the best I can to make sure they survive haha. He said that my fish are about a week or so out, but I want to learn how to tell on my own.
Well done! Good Information combined with really good use of footage. Gonna have a lot of Japan Blue in my tank soon 😮
We got super lucky & watched our guppy have a couple babies! It was so cool!

Great info. I have golden guppies and I've never heard anyone ever mention the gravid spot being pink sometimes. I thought something might have been wrong with mine because all have pink gravid spot, not black.
Your female guppy is the same as mine 😁❤️.cool like your vid

Hello from your new sub =) i love guppies
I bought 10 pcs. 8 female. At first they have a cute rounded belly. The next day after i bought them i have hundreds of littles fry pop in my tank. So i got forced to buy another big tank just for them. I originally have a cichlids tanks and i want to have a community tank. Now i have them and the females keeps popping a fry.😂😂😂
Thats the advantage of having so many females, you will end up having lots of babies :D hahaha

Yes thankyou
Perfect I learned everything thanks 🙏 😊
Excellent Video!
TY for the information, your the only one that I have seen that actually said anything other than the box shape of the Guppy. I have two females pregnant and one I feel is going to give birth very soon though I thought that for the last 5 days..the male will not leave her alone, I dont know how she will isolate herself. I dont have any extra cash to buy a breeder box though they arent much. Hopefully I will get one before the other guppy gets much bigger. I will watch for her to breathe heavier as you mentioned.
You can prepare a small tub for her as ur nursery tank . Anyway goodluck happy fish keeping.
@@albertsguppyadventure4293 how long can she be in it without a filter or air pump?
Great video bro.
This is very helpful🙏
Thank you so much for sharing
very helpfull! Thnx to this video mi amigo!
Tnx for watching.
Useful video thank you sir❤
My female is quite large and I think she is almost ready. I’m afraid to separate her too soon. Is it ok to put my tank separator in now even if she doesn’t give birth for a few more days? I don’t want to isolate her too soon if it will stress her. Thanks!
oh my! this is so helpful. my gubby recently shed it's skin and ate one of the children. it was so sad, but I realized she was just pregnant. I still have to clean the blood out of my fish tank though. she has quite sharp teeth, yikes! 😁🐟
Excellent information. Thanks.

I bought 3 pregnant females around 3 weeks ago and I've seen one of them rapid breath at the top for awhile before resuming her usual guppy rutine. This has been going on for a few days, so hopefully she is due soon to prevent the fry from being eaten by the other tankmates. They are not box shape big, but the gravid is nice and dark. They are not particularly cranky, but they have pecked at the boys and eachother a bit. My guess is the one that is breathing at the top will be the first one to start. Very informative video and helpful 🔥👍
Tnx sir.:)

I have a guppy that's boxy in shape, has a dark gravid spot, and started to hide in the tank however, it hasnt been contracting or breathing heavy so, how long should i wait until i move it into a different tank for birthing?
Thanks for the informative video I will check my fishes incase, not like they have a mate but I want to make sure thanks for the video!
Your welcome.. thanks for watching..
No thank you for the information!
One is cornering the tank, rapid breathing. So I’ve put in a nursery tank and fingers crossed!

I have two female HBRRT strains are about to give birth so I put them in seperated 2.5g tank each ✨ i cant wait to see their babies ❤️
Thankyou so much
Awesome video
Very helpful
Thank You..
Great video.
What strain is that tuxedo male with the high dorsal and orange tail? I used to have one that I got at Meijer in my early days of fishkeeping and I never knew what he was
Tuxedo red tail guppy.
My male guppy is chasing the female(tuxedo guppy)and the females belly is getting bigger sice we bought the fish and the gravid spot is not too big.should i move them to another tank?(new to fishkeeping)
Even with all this on RUclips I still struggle, the amount of times I've put 1 in the breeder tank and next day there belly has shrunk, if they start knocking there bellies against things, I e bottom of tank or plants is that a sign there are near, or could they do that any time in last 10 days
Upload Video about molly fish please🤗
Thanks
when she starts breathing heavily would that be a good time to put her in a breeding net/box or can you do it before?
Thank you
I love your voice and accent
hi when do guppys give birth day or nigh and should i separate as soon as i seee=
❤❤❤ you are good 😊😊😊💗💗💗
Hi may I ask what kind of guppy is in the thumbnail.? I have one looked like that but it's color yellow. I want to produce more but majority of my guppies are red tuxedo.
Dumbo firetail female in the thumbnail.
Nice video,thanks
Very much welcome..;)
What type of guppy is shown in the last part of the video. The female one that has transparent body colot and darkblue tail??
So nice
This is very helpful for first timers like me.. My two guppies gave birth and I separate the mother and babies because they were trying to eat the babies I got 20 healthy fry but after 7days they died and it breaks my heart.. maybe its the water because we cleaned their tank cause its full of dirt. I hope next time I can do better 😢😢
My guppy is doing the air gulping after 2 days of nesting, 1 day of a shift in her gravid spot to lower and deeper inside her, and 1 hour of contractions. Lets see if the 1 day prediction works!
Goodluck
This is a great vid! Thank you!! I just worry about the possible "ammomia" in my fish tank, causing all the fish & parents to get sick, and give birth to sick babies + die.
Keep doing water change it will prevent ammonia build up.
@@albertsguppyadventure4293 Thank you for the tip. Could live plants help too? I've heard they absorb the chemicals of ammonia?
@@panik8867 I know this is an old comment but yes plants help a lot. You should also use prime in your water changes but you can also dose some prime if you suspect a ammonia spike
