    Hi Jan. We are noticed during your video at 2:57 that you had favorites setup for connecting to Team/Zoom/Etc. I see the URL you used for the Zoom favorites, but could you share the URLs you use for your other favorites so we can setup/test them ourselves? This would make connecting to meetings much easier in the case that a Join button doesn't function.

    Jan, thank you for the informative videos. I have a quick question. How does OTD behave if team members forward invites to the room from otter MS Team domains? How about forwarded invites from other services like Goto, Zoom, etc?

      Hi 👋 great question.. in PolyOS you should be able to dial to any platform as long as its H.323 or SIP 🛠☕ OTD supports lot of platforms think for Google its usually via Pexip H323 SIP gateway which is also supported... did you test it?

    Jan, we purchased the x50. To use OTD Cloud to connect to the most providers (i.e. RingCentral, BlueJeans, WebEx, Zoom, and Teams), which license do we need? I can't find a clear explanation. Does the RealConnect license cover all of them? What about the "Polycom One Touch Dial Cloud Service License"? Seems overly complicated. We use RingCentral as our provider, but need to connect to most others as well. Please advise. Thanks!

      Hi Brent, thanks for your comments. All great questions. I got a video in the planning to show you these things step by step.. you will need to use RingCentral App on Studio X30/X50 that needs a license maybe they also offer a service to dial info other platforms or use it in general PolyOS mode but this always requires sort of H.323/SIP interop service to dial into any platforms... and not sure if RingCentral offers any interop GW to dial into that platform...

    Hi jan, I am using a studio x 50 and have got OTD set up with google calendar. I was able to bet the SIP url on my bluejeans invite and everything works. Only problem is that i have a connection speed of > 1300kbps and only get 720p sending and receiving. This low quality doesn't look so great on a 4k display. Any suggestions? We don't have a firewall blocking the ports and I am unsure if this is a bluejeans problem. Thanks in advance.

      Hi Gary, thanks for your comments. Good to hear you got Bluejeans CVI with OTD working. You are correct the negotiations of line speed and resolution is limited to the platform you are dialing now it could also be that your network doing clever things with quality of service so always good to double check including with Bluejeans support about maximum resolutions etc ... hope that helps.. ☕⚙

    Thanks for the Video Jan. Do you need to have a SIP provider setup on the x30 to join Teams meetings via OTD? We see the calendar functions working, but the join buttons don't work. Zoome works but is asking for the meeting host to have a room Conference room connector licence. Any advice would be welcome.

      Hi Stephen thanks for your comments. The first step is try to dial "7357@test.plcm.vc" you dont need to register SIP or H.323 its enabled out of the box to make unregistered calls unless you want to directly call between endpoints then make sense to register and provide a short number.. this that work? Next is get a free OTD login account make sure you set on the resource mailbox 2 important properties -DeleteComments and -DeleteSubject must be set to $false. This make sure you get a simple "join" button. If that all done ✅ then you need to send a Teams invite (w RealConnect) or Zoom invite with SIP/H.323 details usually xxxx@domain.com this will be filtered by OTD and provide the join action to the endpoint... next if all good you should be able to join a meeting via outlook invite or manually using a favorite with a meeting id ... does that help?

      Jan, I’ve been told that One Touch Dial only works when everyone sending invites has the Vtc account at the bottom of the signature? If so, what’s the point of one touch dial? I have an x50 and about to purchase an x70 and a very simple use case. I want to use poly mode or whichever mode to have the calendar service act just like that outlook client allowing me to join any service with the join button. I’ve talked to support and said I needed to use MS Teams mode. Can you help?

    Thanks Jan. The setup looks vary straight forward. One questions for you. If the x30 endpoint is used with a Office 365 room recourse calendar, will the one-touch diel meeting information be added to the meeting invitation when the user just adds the Room recourse as an attendee to the meeting? Or does the meeting invitation need to originate from the Room Resource instead? Thanks.

    • @janzoetemelk
      @janzoetemelk  4 года назад

      Thanks for your comments. You are correct the user just send out outlook invite with Teams, Zoom, WebEx h323/sip info and also besides users invites the room. The Resource Mailbox will be retrieved via OTD Cloud and that will add "join" info so the X30 and X50 only presets "join" button.. personally really like this flexible usage... does that help?

    Hi Jan. Was asking myself these questions today so perfect timing for this video as always. One question. I get asked this quite often, when a client requests an external customer of theirs to invite the endpoint. You show the outlook invite with the realconnect info which is standard. But that would only apply to internal users. What if an external customer who does not have real connect in their enterprise wants to invite that endpoint? It wouldn't make sense to ask our client to ask their external customer to also buy realconnect would it? Also, how many concurrent endpoints can you run off one RealConnect License? Thanks.

    • @janzoetemelk
      @janzoetemelk  4 года назад

      Thats a great question. First of all I see RealConnect for Teams being adopted by many customers even Microsoft themselves. Also its available now from 2 concurrent calls or higher so lets say these call are really important between companies into today's world this should be a no brainer to enable yourselves. So in case you run into an Outlook invite which doesn't include RealConnect there are two options 1) Resent the invite to the same recipients from your company to make sure its included.. or 2) use Device Mode / USB mode and join via your own Windows or Mac device... does that help?

    Thank You for a very useful video. When I have my X50 connect to a Teams meeting using OTD/Realconnect, the display Name is the IP Address and not the name of the meeting Room. Is it possible to change that, I think people will get confused when they see an IP Address participating in a meeting

    • @janzoetemelk
      @janzoetemelk  4 года назад

      Thanks for your comments. Try to give the device a name under system settings and dial to RealConnect using H.323 instead of SIP. I have seen that earlier probably as you dialing unregistrated SIP that might happen. Let me know.

    Hi Jan, does this require a Real connect license to do what you are doing if so which real connect license are you using to service the requests from the different platforms?

    • @janzoetemelk
      @janzoetemelk  3 года назад

      Hi Dyan 👋 thanks for your comments. You are correct the platform you are dialing to requires CVI Interop / h323 / sip license like RealConnect or PexIP to Teams but there is also an interop license (Room Connector) for Zoom, Webex and other platforms. In case a customer invites you to a meeting keep in mind just need to have h323 or sip info in that invite so you are able to dial manual or via one touch dial using PolyOS mode.. otherwise you need to put the device in native Teams, Zoom etc hope that helps..

      @@janzoetemelk Hi jan, I have an x50 and I have the RealConnect Cloud OTD license that's provided free by poly for poly end points along with that for a device in poly OS, what other licenses would I need to say accept teams, zoom and webex via the OTD. I've spoken with 5 different poly support reps and I cannot seem to get a clear answer so I'm hoping you might be the man who can clarify for me. I've had a lot say just use it in device mode but if that's the case it's just an expensive web cam and sound bar I'm happy to get licenses I just wanna be sure before I go purchasing them which ones I need to do what I want to do.

    Thanks for video . Does this OTD cloud service requite Real Connect service ?

    • @janzoetemelk
      @janzoetemelk  4 года назад

      Hi Alexey thanks for your comments. The OTD Cloud is free for any Poly Endpoint you can use it for Teams (with RealConnect), Zoom (via ZRC), Bluejeans, WebEx etc but it makes sense that comes along RealConnect also to get that easy join experience.. btw an exception is Trio this has the "join" parsing build-in the UCS software which you can enable with a parameter... see here parameter for Trio documents.polycom.com/bundle/trio-sfb-dg-5-9-1-AA/page/r3214606.html

      Hi Karim, I haven't seen any LZ meeting join support but does the LZ endpoint supports Authenticated Exchange Calendar integration? I know we support today all the most used platforms like Teams, Zoom, Webex, Google etc. If you have an opportunity I would always recommend to talk to your local Poly office and raise that with the team....

      Hi 👋 thats a great question the TC8 controller at the table is optional.. you can also use a touch screen or even a mouse / keyboard to control the Studio X or G7500 additional with touch screen you can use whiteboarding .. does that help?
