    I grew up here in Australia listening to these guys and Butterfly Effect, Dead Letter Circus all massively underrated overseas which ive never understood.

    Amazing band-you won’t get a ton of views, but be glad you found them. New Day is a mist

    One of the best Aussie bands ever. Their album Sound Awake is a masterclass in modern prog rock. Now try other Aussie bands - Caligula's Horse, Dead Letter Circus, Transcience, Be'Lakor, Cog, Plini, Hands Like Houses, The Helix Nebula, Butterfly Effect

    New Day is awesome. Deadman is a personal favorite of mine. You really can't go wrong.

    The Sound Awake album by them is the greatest album I've ever heard, production wise as well. Karnivool in general does prog absolutely perfectly; it never gets too boring but they're also never over the top while still being at the top of the game instrumentally

    Sound awake is their best album. But anything from these guys is a winner.

    Umbra should be the next song for a Karnivool reaction imo.

    Thank you so much for reacting to this!
    I’ve been watching you guys for well over a year and ever since the first video I watched I was like “I need to get them to listen to Cote!”
    I KNEW you both would dig it.

    If you're looking for more Karnivool anything off of Sound Awake is great. The Caudal Lure off of that album has amazing drums.

    Some of the music by TesseracT is in a very similar vein to this. This was very good..

      @ryukan250 Год назад +2

      Yeah agreed. The Contortionist, Tesseract, Skyharbor, Haken, Caligula's Horse. Modern prog rock bands that share some similarities

    Drummer here. I love a couple animals as leaders songs and I was a huge dream theater head growing up, but I hear it differently as a drummer and it keeps my attention, but I completely understand your analogy with the sugar bag. And I’ve even had to take a step back from listening to too much prog because it does become too unpalatable at times. Great reaction. Check out NEW DAY- by KARNIVOOL

      'Tool inspired', I wasn't sure if that was meant as a real complement or not. So curiosity got the better of me to give them a listen. It wasn't sarcasm.. Lol.. it's actually not bad...

      @@ryukan250no, it was all Drew before Steve joined when they were writing Sound Awake material. I asked Drew personally before the show in Dubai about writing process for Themata, he is truly a genius songwriter and musician.
