- COULD THIS BE THE PERFECT NEW HOME IN THE PHILIPPINES?
This was an emotional journey as I crossed the Bessang Pass, full of history, to Bauko in Mountain Province.
You see, I'd found that there was a "St Anselm's Church" nearby - the only one with the same name as me in the whole country. So since I was nearby, I decided to find it!

Many motovloggers travel to Bessang Pass and say it is beautiful. But they didn't get the real beauty of the history and culture there. This is a video that shows the real beauty that we don't see in the main stream media. Kudos KD nindot kaayo!❤
Your Northern Luzon trip are so great, not only because of the beautiful and historic places but also the way you narrated some stories and information concerning each places you visited and passed by. Enjoy the rest of your trip and be safe.
Your vlogs are always so informative, not just entertaining. I appreciate that you take extra effort to research the history of every place you visit and give us more info when you talk to the natives of the place. Of course, your shots are increasingly getting more stunning and professional, you have an aesthetic eye. I am jealous that you’re able to go to places the average Filipno has never been and that you show us how beautiful our country is and what lovely souls and hearts reside everywhere. Keep doing what you do. Wishing you safety, peace, strength, and happiness on your every journey.

Kumader Daot's travel vlogs are made more significant with a historical background of the places he visits. This makes watching your videos more interesting. It is much appreciated for a person like you - of British origin and yet can still find an opportunity to dig into history and relate this information to all watchers from different parts of the world.

Wow, impressive Anselm! You made it to my hometown. I was born in Bauko. Bauko and Sagada is well known to me growing up. I left 40 years ago. The place still has that sense of peace and serenity. I can't explain it but you the to see and feel the place to understand it. Different vibes there compared to the rest of the Philippines. If I knew you were going there, you could have stayed at my place. Only 10 min walk from Dumog. Anyway, enjoy your adventures. Always watching you. Keep vlogging!
Yeah, Bauko has an awesome vibe! I know what you mean!

St Anselm - Anglican churches are quite common in the Cordillera areas. At first, I mistook them as Catholic church because of the names of the saints. Some of their buildings are beautifully built, simple, yet adapted to their culture. I also like the St Mary;s Church in Sagada.
Oh !the good police is my nephew.
Small world! Very nice guy
😊
❤
Thank you once more for showing this part of Ilocos Sur and the Cordilleras. The small villages are so unique!
Thank you very much for promoting our culture in the North
You are well on your way to becoming the professional guide of the Philippines so far from home in Davao, your Filipino family should be so proud of your efforts sharing cultural destinys of the countless numbers of people past, present, and future. JOLLY GOOD SHOW FRIEND !
Man, Domog Inn was where our team stayed for 3 days when we had our mission trip! We have a small org called the Souls&Sounds Ministries that helps out small churches. And watching you being there is what I call a "positive coincidence"! Awesome!
That's a positive coincidence for sure!
Nice trip with beautiful mountain andscaping ❤😍💯👍
I am so happy Anselm that you were able to go to Region 1 or the Ilocos Region. I use to work in the government when I was still there that's why I am familiar with the places where you visited. As a Filipino, I envy you coz I wasn't able visit all of the Philippines. I always watch your vlogs and I guess you have already visited almost all the places in the Philippines and you even know the history and culture of those places. Thank you Anselm for these things you're doing, showing the Philippines to the world. You are more Filipino than me. God bless you always and always take care.
KUMANDER D from now on, i'll be calling you a BECOMING FILIPINO D 2.0 ❤❤❤
keep going and explrong our beloved nation. AMPING KANUNAY ❤❤❤
He has his own unique identity- it is not appropriate to name him after somebody else’s identity, that’s not fair at all.
Thank you very much commander Daot for showing the other side of the Philippines on your many travels and from a great Wales citizen adapting to the life in the Philippines to show what the Filipino are missing with the help of your videos I hope they appreciate your contribution to show that the Philippines has a lot of places to visit many thanks please be safe God Bless on your many trips

Thank you for sharing this... I wouldn't be able to see this in person, so I very much appreciate you sharing this video... sharing Filipinos' almost-lost culture.
Kumander Daot, you reminded me of Benjamin from Bald and Bankrupt dropping bits and pieces of facts and history as you take us with you in your travels and adventures. Always good to see having fun.
Bald is awesome!
@@KumanderDaot mura sad ug ikaw 😊. Safe travels.
Beautiful and dangerous gorges Kumander thank you for capturing the view for us. 😊
Good morning KD, this is really emotional and an epic travel. Thank you for featuring these wonderful places.
This must be the first time that I saw a vlogger reach the Ilocos region. The Ilocos region is usually not well visited by vloggers. Are there really not so many places to see there? I hope KD can show us more places to visit in the Ilocos region.
Thank you kumander D.nice video ride safe
Thank you kumader for showcasing the best in PH. Nice roads.
Fun fact: Panday in Visayan Language means carpenter. Panday in Tagalog means blacksmith.
My uncle and his unit went through the islands building runways to bring in supplies for the allied forces. They had pockets of resistance from small bands of Japanese there up till even after the war was over. So much has changed since 1945 I'm sure.
Enjoy and be safe kumander,
This is absolute Wow. Thank you kumander. Its my first time to see what Besang Pass actually looked like which I learned & read only from history books
Thank you! You visited my hometown Suyo and feature it in your vlog. Isn’t it beautiful?
Suyo is awesome!
My mother is from Lubon, Tadian, Mt. Province. A simple but beautiful rural village. Thank you for making this beautiful vlog.🥰
Wow. You took time to learn the history and SHARE IT! i hope the Department of Tourism acknowledges your effort. God bless

ey ey eyyy!!!
Oh no no no no no
Those mountain province villages somewhat similar to those villages we saw on our recent tour of Scotland. Once when the Baguio Bontoc road due to landslides, we took the long route from Bontoc to bauko to Cervantes thru the besang pass to Ilocos sur and la union to Baguio. A very scenic route but long drive. Way back, we use big clay pot jars to keep drinking water cold. If you notice house construction in the Cordilleras are either made of concrete or pine wood wood with tin roofs unlike in the lowlands or visayas. Keep exploring the different part of the Philippines, the beautiful Cordilleras.
The policeman must be Boy Perstym's cousin. 2:41 "Are you a moto vlogger?" You should have told him "No, I'm an influencer." He He He!!!😆😝🤣
I really enjoy how you seek out historic and cultural places in the Philippines, whether they are from WWII, or from the Spanish colonial era, or whenever. You make your visits to places more meaningful to see by the way you share their historic and cultural significance. And your support of the indigenous tribes and sharing of their cultural richness is so enriching for all of us viewers. And I'd be remiss if I didn't say how your drone views are always so epic! Once again, salamat for bringing us along on your journeys!!!🤙
I had BoyP's voice in my head when he asked me that hahaha
Thank you too, for appreciating these little tidbits... I also enjoy learning and researching these things!
Incridible its absolutely breathtaking you've to hold your breath to look up and down to those mountains. i salute you KD thank you.
Magandang umaga Kumander Daot,ride safe
I love that they preserve as well as practice their indigenous culture. Yes...make it alive n it will invite foreigners to enjoy your culture.❤
Majestic mountains, sumptuous foods,.great landscapes,. beautiful soul of the locals,. What else can we ask for,..great vlog Kd,.ride safe
All your videos KD I liked to watch, due to it's relevance in our Philippine culture.
thank you mr Daot for showing this. As a Philipino and American . I didn't really understand how many cultures in the philippines. That culture you just showed how they used to live back then. It remind me here in the USA the first people who live here before English influences. We call it here native India. Geronemo and crazy horse people. and they are still excess and practice there own tradition. So I have to asked you. does those people still excess there in the philippines , and keep there old tradition culture.. anyway thank you very much for this philippines history.
I love the soundtrack of this episode... it's accentuated the natural beauty of the landscape to the next level. Another exciting n informative, educational experience under your belt. KD, keep up the amazing journey of Northern Luzon...
exactly 😊
Great video and great story kumander Daot..watching your videos is like watching history channel..travel safe and God bless you. 🙏
Wow.. I miss that place, Pandayan.. I covered a friend's wedding at the 1st church you visited and we're glad that the chapel with your name is still standing.. You should had tried to go up from Pandayan to Cada Mankayan at boundary of Bauko and Mankayan where Kulas went before..
I want to take that road some day! It looks awesome!
Stunning cinematography and great story!!!
Thanks for the very informative and interesting video. Shawtawt to my cousin Boyet Aluyen of Bauko. ✌️
Wowww 😮 who can imagine for you to get into the province of ours from Davao 🙌 Have a great travel and stay safe. ❤️
This kind of vlogs are the best ones, this the reason why i keep telling my friends when you travel to any places, dont just take selfies and pictures. Go try the local foods, learn the cultures and history and appreciate the nature. Im living in canada now and i love watching this kind of videos cuz i have roots from mt province. Thanks Kumander for showcasing the cordillera region.
Wow I’m so amazed with your videos. I’ve traveled 27 countries seen many many vloggers I have never watched one as interested as you. You definitely deserve a award from the Philippine Government for showing their country in a way no other RUclipsr does. So positively and inspirational. You find the best deals on your travels I sure wish you would add links to some of the places you stay.

Wow Kumander Daot, Thank you so much for sharing this content❤️❤️❤️. Stunning drone shots with a stunning road terrain but a kind of scary. This is what I loved about your content, a part from sharing the beauty of nature that the Philippines has. You also shared culture and history that most Filipinos are not aware of or maybe forgotten 🙏. Thanks for all the efforts and wishing you all the best and keep safe always. Watching from UAE 🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪 PS. I don't skip the ads 😊Just keep going you will reach millions subscribers.
Thank you for exploring the Philippines, places I could not visit on my own.even though I lived in Bagiuo for 4 years
Wonderful video. What I felt while watching is you are just a normal everyday buddy sharing what he finds on the road. Not pretentious, no degrading Filipinos for they way they live. Rather, celebrating cultural diversity and enjoying what each area has to offer other than the tourist dive spots and fancy hotels.
Keep it up Kumander!
Giving context to where you are makes the place meaningful.More power KD!❤
