It never ceases to amaze me the strength of Filipinos. They may be small in stature but they are incredibly strong and will just work all day doing that over and over and over again.
Of course. This people had been trained to carry load since they were young boy. Their muscle and bone density is different than people you get muscles from food. If these people are eating like Americans and work hard as they did they will be much stronger. Manny Pacquiao is like that. He had been doing hard work and lifting since he was young boy from construction to carrying big tuna in the fishport all day. That is why he delivers hard punches.
The guys will be really proud of themselves when they read these comments - thank you everyone so much for appreciating the amazing work as much as I do!
I’ve always imagined fishpond building to be hard but never thought of it to be this backbreaking hard. Thanks for giving us a glimpse of how it’s done.
Men from Hinatuan are the best fishpond builders of the whoel world. they are brave, fighter and strong. no hard work in mud and easy job on bamboos. It must be the first episode in KD flex for the film entitled "The Fishpond". It was a happy ending at the car wash. haha big thank you KD
Impressive. These people knows what they're doing. Manual hardwork but it's the right thing to do for practical reasons under the circumstances. 👍 Thanks for sharing this video.
That carwash was hilarious! I was drinking my coffee and almost spit it out! Daot gyud ka, Kumander! Hahahaha Buanga oi! 🤣 On a more serious note, I super appreciate how fluent you are with Bisaya. You get even the nuances of the language, and wow, those numbers! I cant even say those numbers in Bisaya as well as you do and Im a born and bred Mindanaoan! Way to go with the fishpond, Kumander!
KD, God Bless you for reviving your fishpond. Not only you’re going to be operational soon but also contributing to the community by putting locals employed, food in the market and grow local economy. You are a genuine Filipino KD.
Those workers and the carabao are true legends! I see you are more inspired, KD. Happiness and satisfaction are soaring high when you have the right people around you👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
2:48 That's back breaking work. 5:15 God bless the people who makes an honest living. Every time you launched the noisy leaky boat I had been thinking a raft would be more practical. Bravo for the diskarte. I was wondering how you will transport the bamboo across the river. I never would have thought to cut holes and thread wood through them to keep them together.
KD when you visit them bring some merienda always...Filipinos appreciate those small things...even pandesal and instant coffee alone would be a relief for them...
Of all the funny things we've seen you do in your vlogs, this car wash is the absolute funniest! That was hysterical, Kumander!!! So glad you don't take yourself too seriously. Otherwise, you wouldn't have shared that with us. Salamat kaayo!
This is explicit documentation of the mud dike building process for Filipino fish ponds and river embankments in general. Great work, Kumander. Great camera work and editing. Have a wonderful reunion back in Davao with your wife and pets. (I think that you should consider getting a trademark hat to compete with Kulas's headbands. What do you think?)
Good to hear no commercial fish production. Step by step. No rush. The isolated nipa house is already worth it, splendid magnificent river, such a lovely place.
Wow! Kumander D, I am so amazed & incredibly impressed on how you fully adapt perfectly the Pilipino culture, it’s way of living. It’s just very inspiring for me being a Philippine born grandma but been away from my birth country for almost 50 years. You speak the local dialect without hesitation unlike other bloggers who don’t attempt to use the language/dialect. I learned so much just watching your videos. You have very hardworking people around & I’m hoping this time you will be very successful & that these workers will be loyal & respect you. You & Kulas are great together, excellent dynamics. Stay safe & healthy. God Bless you always KD. 🙂🇵🇭❤️🇺🇸
After fixing your flatform its better to plant on top of it a bermuda grass or carabao grass so that the soil will not be muddy and erode easily and it add to beautification of the pond area.
The people that help you repair your fish pond should be rewarded at the end of the day. Just put yourself in their shoes, and see the result, you will appreciate the work they do. I would like to congratulate for their hard work. Nothing is easy you have to work smarter. your vlog will show the world that life is not as easy as you thought would be in the Philippines. Be safe.
Here in philippines ,Filipino is very patient when it comes to work, and if work they want to finish good ,and you will be satisfied.filipino is a hard working man and friendly.
Interesting! Are the mud bricks similar to Irish peat? Very hardworking guys and very ingenious with making do with resources available. Can’t imagine what it’s like when I think of the heat, humidity, and insects that is not communicated on film. Your command of language is admirable. Rosetta Stone😂? I am sure you are garnering a lot of respect from the locals especially your willingness to get dirty as well as your humble persona. Thanks!
Another informative video with good captions and the videography is always fantastic. Your comedian stint always bring laughter into my day, daot gani bala! Thank you for showing the innovative life of Filipinos and the struggle to earn a living is real. Stay safe and healthy.
Salute to K Daots"s worker very hardworking and creative. That's why Filipinos are hard workers proud of you guys,👍🌈I.love your Tiny Bahay Kubo, very cool and you can relax to live for few days or as long you want. Funny for running headband 😄😄😄 hahahah. You are funny K Daot with that power wash.
You are really being like Kulas, Kumander. You're becoming filipino na gid. By rebuilding your fishpond, you have the Filipino resiliency and positivity. Two thumbs up!
So very interesting and compelling the process but god the laborious backbreaking work. These guys just do it like its effortless. The cubes of clay..or mud..really? Respect..much respect.
Amazing really amazing workers. I know how hard they work for their money. Those construction workers in the Philippines know how to work and still have a big smile on their faces. Good luck Kumander D. We decided to stay one more winter here in Canada before going back in our home in Tagnanan,Mabini. See you someday…
WOOOH!! I have to say, these guys working on your pond are strong man. Amazing, and it seemed they really know what they are doing. I am actually excited see the progress of your pond. Many people like to watch a process build out vids. Keep the positive vibes going bud.👍
that's an awesome job KD.....Anselmo and his crew is absolutely doing their work ..it's really back breaking job they are doing....kudos to them...I really have a good laugh on that water jet.....hahahaha..
Oh my i knew it kumander..all i can say is congratulations and more blessings to come and all of these success is the fruit of your labor.. Beyond your wildest dreams turns into reality..mabuhay ang mga daotan.. 😂
you r doing great K.D!, those workers know their job! very tedious, hard and need strength! go, go, go! make it a strong sturdy place to live in, a solace place and experience solitude at times!
I am just slowly getting to find out how your fishpond started!!! Interesting and my respect to the workers for what they do!! I read comments too Just to see how your subscribers think of you as a vlogger. One said that you were born to vlog because you’re authentic, no airs, fluent in Visaya and just so humble!!’ Someone said you are gift to your workers!!’ How articulate is that? Happy I discovered your channel!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏
Dear Beautiful Cateel i feel in love of your mother natures beauty... the river goes down to the coast an absulote wow!!! Thankyousomuch Sir Anselm Kum.D. Sir Kyle BecomingFilipino too..
Great worker you have there Kumander, tell them we viewers are in awe of their honest to goodness work and hope that help will come their way sooner or later. In our place by the way, Baguio, City, we reinforce our houses perimeter with big rocks, and stack them one after another like what your workers are doing, we call it Kabite. Since no rocks in your place mud is okay.
Your fishpond and the surrounding area really is so serene. That’s the great example of manpower and of course thank goodness for the carabao power as well. Drone shot is amazing. Made us laugh at the blooper, so daot indeed haha!😊
1:49 I think wearing boots with good traction will keep your feet dry and easier to walk. The workers need boots too. 2:48 I’m amazed how tedious this job is. It’s really a hard labor and I salute those guys working for living. Filipinos like these workers are hard working men and they are willing to travel outside of their home town just to make ends meet to provide for their respective families. You said they’re on contract “pakyaw” is Sunday rest day included? I hope on their rest day, they have a satisfying good meal. It would be great if every Sunday, you offer them big cooked meals even with only 2 dishes. They will be happy and appreciate your gesture that they will look forward to the end of the week for that good bulotot meal.😋😄 That’s what I learned from friends who owned farms in the province. They cook lunch for the workers and have a weekend meal with them esp. after church. I guess in your situation, it will be difficult since you’re by yourself unlike Kulas who has a bunch of men working for him. Being said, it can be done also by providing them what to cook to celebrate rest day or order trays from Mama Rose. 😘 You will be amazed also on how men can cook. God bless Kumander and hope everything will be smooth according to the plan.
These guys are awesome. Having employed locals on my house and some other projects I have done, as long as they get their merianda and lunch, a quick nap, they will work and work, and not complain. Do you intend to turn that into a house to be able to live in?
Food is life for these guys and they really appreciate it! I want it to be somewhat habitable... Not for full time living but certainly for staying sometimes.
It never ceases to amaze me the strength of Filipinos. They may be small in stature but they are incredibly strong and will just work all day doing that over and over and over again.
And for around $3.00 a day!
Of course. This people had been trained to carry load since they were young boy. Their muscle and bone density is different than people you get muscles from food.
