It's just another example of the primary labour force, who are responsible for the entire production process, being cut out of what is earned from their labour. Imagine being a major draw to a PPV that might earn upwards of 40-50 million dollars when you take into account merchandise, advertising, PPV sales (I mean a subscription is already 75 dollars a week in America isn't it?), and so on, and you only get, what, a 500 grand cut. Some people have tried to justify this by saying "but they need to pay all the production crew", but I can absolutely guarantee a significant portion of that money is net profit, and a hefty percentage is going into the pockets of people like Dana. The fuck you talking about
@@hdhdu7634 You think Black Jack is his game? What I'm talking about mtf is exploitation. The billions in capital pocketed by White and the Fertitta brothers was created by the blood, brain damage and broken bones of the best fighters on the planet.I think Karl M called it greedy mtf scooping the surplus labor value off schmucks, whatever... Anonyms schmucks talking at each other on youtube is a special Olympics combat sport. Have a nice nice day:)
Why can boxers hold and fight for championship titles of multiple organizations but MMA fighters can't?
Ali act, boxing promoters can't own championships, there ain't like a "Showtime Belt" or a "Matchroom Boxing Belt", all the championships are held by boxing organizations like WBC, IBF, IBO, and promoters are separate from those orgs
@@Mrraerae ooh word. Thnx for the knowledge.
UFC contracts forbid their fighters from fighting anywhere else.
The Muhammad Ali Act of Boxing. If it were expanded to MMA, then it would be the same.
That was a good intro dude
what is the other mma podcast jack is on and always mentions but isn't in the description and i can't find? the boyscast? can't find it...
Kamaru Ngannou is now unlocked.
I fell asleep half way through!🙈🤣🤣 damn it Jack Slack!!
...What about Mike Beltran, tho?!
This was like the next generation version of Cain Velasquez vs JDS
Unhappy Francis is undefeated. He also wrestles now as a f you to Dana .
Francis taking Gane down like that makes you think what Curtis can do🤔
DC laid on top of Anderson Silva in a match I largely fast forwarded because of how boring and predictable it was and Dana and fans (to my memory) didnt give shit to DC for that- and no one should give shit to Francis for flipping the script (which made it interesting) and winning with an injury- which gave him valid excuse to grapple because it wasnt out of fear to stand and bang but out of necessity.
surprised ngannou didn't do much ground and pound b/c vs Stipe he was very willing to and it was terrifying.
Morales' tattoo has a swirl spelling 'life' in it
No talk about these absurd scorecards? Come on, man!
oi, oi. its the brandon moreno of let me stand and bang bro.
It is weird that Dana had this fight in CA, knowing they would disclose salaries. Wonder if he was hoping CA would shut down again and the fight would get canceled?
Imagine the higher tier athletes that would start fighting if the pay became comparable to other pro leagues. It would benefit everyone
Do the figures released on the payout sheet include the champion's points on the ppv thing or not?
I don't think they get those anymore since they sold rights to the ppv revenue to espn for a fixed contract.
I've been saying the same thing with Jack. As far as I can see from his half serious twitter account his ideology is really really different from mine, but we agree on the fighter pay issue. This is not about capitalism vs socialism, I can't understand cringy fcks defending UFC for this blatantly evil and short sighted strategy. I swear the sport will stagnate unless the fans get rid of their archaic mindset about staying hungry and warrior culture rhetoric
Its your homie
“Good grappling” comon jack
If I remember they did say Michael Chandler 2 Time Bellator Champion
At least now they have to somewhat acknowledge other promotions, since the ongoing anitrust case. But its nice that it was acknowledged nonetheless.
When ufc can't afford a bigger name Brazilian to build up a star lower on a card, they bring in a Portuguese discount can that ends up having a great chin and heart. O'Malley and moutinho and now pereira and this guy
You might want to listen to Bob arum who's telling everyone who will listen he was losing a lot of money on Crawford fights
DAGESTANNOU
Two thirds of half lmao thats so true and sad it's funny
Jon Jones was disclosed at $500,000 but said he gets paid $5 million a fight.
Ppv points
LOL it came out of jon's mouth, must be a gospel truth then
The Ciryl Gane of Providing Harm.
"Figgy" lmao 😂
That's his established nickname
Even though I'd be worried that every major fight could turn into Crawford v Spence vaporware. I'd still prefer to see my favourite fighters get paid. Crazy Ngannou earns
Francis should box wilder or aj thats a better match up if he boxes fury he's gunna get smoked easily.
AJ is far more skilled than Francis.
Yeah 100 percent but I could see that being somewhat competitive if he fights fury it will be a complete wash in my opinion
@@kidfopo Francis can't ox a journeyman what the hell are you talking about?
@@jacktenrec63 I'm confused bro who is the journey man that I was referring to?
Weight cut. Unless you Chimaev you need some time between weight cuts.
If ngannou isn't exaggerating and his knees were as bad as he's making out then what chance does gane have in a rematch?.. assuming his knees get better
I wanna seen Francis throw kicks like Cyril tbh
40:12 slacky jackie.
Geology? Geologies? Mathematics. Maths? Math(s?)ematics? No. Math.
100% the sport gets better with more pay. Imagine if Zion Williamson could quit NBA for MMA. As a pure athlete, he looks more impressive than even Ngannou!
Bit late for him to switch like that imo
@@i8qiwjwjduwi Yeh nah I didn't literally mean Zion. But, I'm saying if the pay was there we could have had Zion level athletes. Or, LeBron... Although, many of these dudes would be too big for 265. This isn't even only HW. Imagine guys like Floyd at 145, or Ronaldo in 155. Point is, the best athletes in the world prob aren't in MMA.
I've been a UFC shill when it comes to fighter pay talk for a while now, but this cards payouts were actually horrible
Has there been a moment that the pay is good during the time you being a UFC shill?
Every card man. This is every card.
@@kimjung2442 well I still stand by some of my justification of it, but even then a champion like Francis should not have 600k base pay
Jack slack is back with a smack to the sack
I halfway thought that Francis decided to win in a 'boring' way in order to punish the UFC.
