    It Ngannou comes into his next fight with the Dagestani neckbeard, a judo gi top, and a pair of gym shorts, the division is over.
    Jokes aside, a lot of his wrestling was really solid. Takedowns were sound, he had some nice reverses, a judo throw, and a really nice mat return from a bodylock. He was looking for the leg mount against the fence, hit a sweep, and knew how to defend against a heel hook. His rate of improvement is genuinely impressive.

      Uhh, I'd say it was more Gane forgetting how to leglock someone properly than Ngannou knowing how to defend it. The way he was turning into, could've spelt disaster if Gane just reaped for a second or did anything to try and get his butt closer to Ngannou's so he could actually put a wedge above the knee joint and isolate it.

      Unfortunately the rich have now convinced the poor that not only is the system absolutely fair but that they should keep it the way it is because one day they might be rich too, then they can benefit from it. I honestly have no idea how the upper classes managed to convince the working class that unionization is bad, Socialism is evil, and Reaganomics/Thatcherconomy is an effective system of policy (can you say "trickle down economics")..

    • @AveSicarius
      @AveSicarius 2 года назад

      Unfortunately Dana and his partners likely don't even see the fighters as anything but walking sacks of money to be used until they can no longer draw sufficient PPV numbers. They are legally capable of exploiting the athletes they are promoting, and so they do, much like collegiate football in the US churns through young UNPAID athletes to fuel a multi-billion dollar industry. Dana spends more on a single poker night than many fighters make in a year. They don't even pay for their healthcare, they don't cover living costs during training periods, and they certainly don't seem to care about fighter insurance in case of career impacting injury. Dana and his cronies care about money first and foremost, and he can spin as much spiel as he wants about liking the fighters, if he actually cared about them he'd give then a fixed cut of total earnings relative to that fighter. The amount of money that the UFC makes is frankly absurd, and it's only increasing every quarter as profits are maximized (and being public these practices are most likely going to get worse in an effort to appease major shareholders). It's just another example of the primary labour force, who are responsible for the entire production process, being cut out of what is earned from their labour. Imagine being a major draw to a PPV that might earn upwards of 40-50 million dollars when you take into account merchandise, advertising, PPV sales (I mean a subscription is already 75 dollars a week in America isn't it?), and so on, and you only get, what, a 500 grand cut. Some people have tried to justify this by saying "but they need to pay all the production crew", but I can absolutely guarantee a significant portion of that money is net profit, and a hefty percentage is going into the pockets of people like Dana. If we go by how fighters, the main draw, are treated, the production labour is probably some slave children Dana bought cheap from Dubai when he went to go watch the ADCC sometime. It's absolutely fucked, but the US is very unlikely to implement new labour laws anytime soon (they really need a new Franklin Roosevelt to save them from their economic ineptitude again), it's up the us, the consumers, to do something about it. But sadly, as we've seen all too often in recent years, boycotting doesn't seem to do the trick, nor does publicly complaining, nor does press criticism, nor does employee action, nor does asking nicely, or anything else I can think of.
      Do you think maybe Dana forgets who his employees actually are? If I had some of the most dangerous and violently talented men on the planet under me, I'd treat them well lest they decide it was time for Viva La Revolution and put me to the guillotine.

    • @gilbertoflores7397
      @gilbertoflores7397 2 года назад +4

      Fury isn't even a draw, his biggest fight was Wilder 2, and that didn't even crack a million, even lost money on the event, which is crazy.
      Fury is a great personality, but very inconsistent in his performances. The only time he's been compelling is the Wilder fights. Why else would Fury entertain the idea of fighting Francis if he can't use that to make more money than he already does; because he can't make as much as he would like from the immediate match ups he has. Say what you want about the ufc, but they have an audience that will tune into watch their guy try and do well, so the ufc is doing something right in making guy fighting for them more of a draw than the top talent in boxing, outside of their versions of conor McGregor.
