Worn-out one piece garage door hardware in Los Angeles - Very Dangerous

We noticed the hardware badly worn during a maintenance repair in L.A.
We were just trying to make a good thing better and we came upon the main control arm so much that the door is in danger of falling off the main plate and literally falling on the home owners head.
First of all, there was no lubrication on this door at all. It was very loud when in use which really is the first sign of a problem and with closer inspection the worst case scenario was revealed.
The moral of this story is if you don’t want to meet the nicest repairman in the industry (whoever that may be ;) Please Lubricate Your Door Before It Needs It and do it with a smile on your face knowing you just saved yourself a literal headache and gained years of service from your system.
The one thing I am sure of, that even new doors come dry. The installer does not always have the same mentality and supplies as the serviceman in general.
