    Another fact: Getting a job there is incredibly difficult( LIKE ACTUALLY )
    For context: Even if you have an actual degree, there is still a chance you wont get the job ( it all comes down on the quality of the grades )
    The reason?
    Well its quite simple
    The government makes it so that a lot of stuff there are affordable there ( no taxes ), which means that majority will have the funds to go get scholarships and get higher paying jobs.
    Although it is pretty nice, this means that less people have interests in taking in the normal jobs in the area ( yknow, like barbers, repair shops and other facilities ). To combat this, the government started accepting foreign workers to fill in the gaps.
    Not only does this solve the problem, but it allows the ties between these foreign countries to strengthen. HOWEVER, as the population is growing AND foreign schools get more selective, a rising number of people are now reconsidering to find jobs in the country.
    This then leads to another problem, where the people applying for jobs now have to compete against both local and foreign applicants, which leads to the country having one of the highest unemployment rates.
    Trust me, to even have a chance to get a job, you literally need to get some pretty good results from your exams ( like the O- Level exams ).
    To be fair, the government was just doing what it can for the country, but they inevitably just caused one of the biggest issues in the country.
    Oh yeah, just to be clear, all of this is just from my perspective as a local living in this country for literally all my life. ( im about to sit for my A- level exams on October so wish me luck )

    Been here for 4 months now. I like it here, very quiet and peaceful. Love the surroundings here, a lot of trees, and the smell of fresh air. People here are very nice and patient. It' has a low cost of living. You can be bored maybe, but as a guy like me that grew in the wildest city of the Philippines, I don't miss my wild lifestyle, been drunk more than half of my life, so now can relax and exercise here. Then party hard again everyday when I go back to the Philippines. Life is not all about fun and party, sometimes we need ro chill and relax coz our body needs it also, and I can say Brunei is one of the countries that's fit for that.

    I been there, this is my honest opinion, in Brunei weather usually hot like daily is 28°c to 30°c. In Friday all shop closest at 12pm to 2pm even non-muslim restaurants must be closed for Muslim Friday prayer it's sultan's order. The only amusement park there is the Jerudong park but seems like most of the equipment kinda not working there. Brunei has many open sewage anywhere I go it smelled like..you know. What I really like about Brunei is you don't have to be worried about crimes you are safe except you may encounter some rude and noisy person usually groups of teenager, I got bad experience with that like I encounter these groups of teenagers in Brunei and they staring at me screaming and laughing. Transportation is also a problems bus and taxi is rarely passing by like sometimes nothing. The picture of the palace in this video is actually Sultan Omar Ali mosque.

When the two mag writers came back, the Sultan was supposed to have shown the incredibly splendid new edifice to them and remarked, "Is this better?" Lived 30 mins car ride away from Brunei. All i can say is, nobody would go there over the weekends. But people from Brunei all go out of Brunei over weekends to our place, to buy stuff and have fun. Cos nothing much happens in Brunei. I’m not sure how it is a second most developed country in SEA… practically nothing there

    The amusement jerudong Park is 90% closed and most of the equipment got sold, so its no longer the biggest park in SEA. Also development index is very misleading. Theres a lot of backward infrastructure in brunei that is abandoned and outright destroyed. The gdp is boosted by sultans wealth. But 55% of bruneians actually live below 1000 dollar wage per month. Coupled this with the rising cost of living and inflation, no wonder u see an increase rate of petty crimes and robbery all over brunei

    • @MemettheHabibi
      @MemettheHabibi 2 года назад +1

      And it is Religion which protects us under a "Dome".Because there is an interview which discusses among the three main religions and which is most easy to influence and the hardest to influence are Muslims.
      And you can see it in the Islamic history where it is because of Religion that the Muslims were brave enough to fight off the colonizer like Abdulkader of Algeria,Omar Al-Mukhtar of Libya and many-many more prominent Muslims who rose to defend their faith and Country

    • @MemettheHabibi
      @MemettheHabibi 2 года назад

      It's hilarious how the westerners think that just because we are "Religious" and not secular we are labelled as "Dictatorship" or "Oppressive".If it is our land it is our right to implement Sharia Law and be able to practice our religion.And you can clearly see that even they realise that if we are staying with our Faith we are not as easily to be influenced or secularized.
      Just look at the Ottoman Empire,the Westerners could not defeat them with strength but they used human "Dogs" (Hypocrites) to weaken the Empire and eventually become more Secularized and further from religion.
      Until now you can see young Muslim turks being far away from Islam and being more inclined towards western ideas.And I also come to conclude that if the younger Muslim generation knows about Islam and the History of Islam they will be protected under the so called "Dome" as mentioned in the previous interview
