In this video I discuss ( and ramble about) my decision to go sober after 8 years of drinking. I chat through the reasons, how I used dry jan as an excuse, the challenges of sober nights out and the benefits of waking up fresh.
This is my journey and I fully respect other adults right to drink, this is your choice :)
Who am I? 🤠
My name is Ewan (pronunced "you"+"an"), I am from Scotland in the UK.
I started playing chess in 2020 after being hooked on the Queen’s gambit. I am on a mission to be 1000 rated on all Chess.com game modes.

Good for you man. Some good tips. The social side of it is definitely hard.
Well done man! 18 months tomorrow I’ve had big ups and downs though it all so far but I’m still here. I’m in the program and I think that’s been really helpful to fully understand why I drank like I did. I wouldn’t have been able to stay clean and sober without it. Thank you for you tips, tricks and experiences. They would be really helpful for a new comer.
