I'm 53 and I'm spanish.I also have been lucky to assist to many,many concerts of the most famous bands and musicians,not just rock or pop,even ethnical,fusion and jazz.John Mayal,Chet Baker,Prince,Paco de Lucía,Leonel Hampton,Ray Charles,ELO,The Rolling Stones,The Boss,and many more.
But I have to say that I will always consider that One Night Only is the best ever. The atmosphere, the band,Rod's strengh and voice, that was something only happens one in a lifetime. And above all, look with your own eyes what friendship truly is.Rod and Ron,Ron and Rod,I can't find the words to describe what happend on stage. One of the best nights of my life. Now I can rest in peace.

Probably the greatest live performance ever of Maggie May. Rod's singing, J'Anna's mandolin, Ronnie's guitar, the crowd singing every word, although most of them weren't even born at the time, it's all there. What makes it even more special is that he's back in London, playing Albert Hall, looking at Ronnie and sings about going back home (in a genius passage of Gasoline Alley). They grow up together in London, if you didn't know. Totally awesome.
Very interesting comment, dude👍🏻
For those who didn't know, mr. Roderick and Ronnie are friends since, after & before R.Stones convert in a world wide famous rock and roll band
🔥 🎼 🎸

O
YES it is.............. who is the bassist?
The MTV Unplugged version is better, but this is a lovely and joyous version.
I like the bass
As a 15 year old, this song blew me away in 1971. This video blows me to the moon and back everytime I listen to it. J'Anna billion Watt smile is the icing on the cake.
STILL!!!! After all these years, Awesome.
I am going to tell my story about Rod Stewart. My Dad was a major record distributor in sales. I was living with him in 1971. He came home one night and played this album. He asked me to listen to it. I was 20 years old. I listened, and he asked me what I thought and how much he should order. I said order them all. I fell in love. This is a true story
It is a delight to hear the electric bass line, it adds rhythm to the song.
Rod knows how to pick his mandolin players huh? She's basically running this. Superb.
This song is beyond a shadow of a doubt honey to the ears! Mr. Stewart you did try and you nailed the lyrics beautifully! Thank you
That gorgeous woman on the mandolin is so talented!!!🎉🎉🎉

The joy I feel from this song omg
Agree audience awesome take care
This is absolutely amazing on mushrooms. Thank you RS. RIP JNS
I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.
Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.
Cant fake genuine appreciation
I read a few months ago that a musician was playing this song on a public square in London when Rod Stewart happened to be passing by. He stopped and started singing the song to the audience's delight. Then he walked away under numerous applause. That's the kind of guy he is.
All three were just outstanding especially the lady playing the mandolin
Happiness! I loved this song 50 years ago and I love it now! Joy and smiles!
Not the Helene Steinberg I know? I just saw your post after I posted mine! We have to get together, seriously! I’m back toward the end of April. Better yet, you and Mike need to come HERE! I miss you. A lot.❤
@@peterbezrucik207 no sorry I am not the one!
So good to see Rod AND Ronnie together again
I was at Bancrofts Essex listening to you 9 years old on top 20 1969 Sunday evening X
The first concert that I ever went to was a Rod Steward Concert. I was 14 at the time, and loved every second of it! That was way back in 1977. The fans, the excitement was beyond belief! I was a fan of his before, and still am to this day!

Was the overseas tour he came to brisbane, australian. My best Mate loved him. That’s when I started listening to him and taught myself his songs on guitar.
Rod Stewart, R Cooder, Bob Marley, SexPistols, BeeGees, Neil Young, Earth, Wind and Fire, etc. How lucky were we? Everytime I hear Rod Stewart, it takes me back too that time.
BEST performance ever!! Ronnie Wood, J'anna Jacoby and Sir Rod Stewart
👍 who's listening 2023
I love this! Every song in this concert turned into an audience participation sing-along!
They look like two kids together. Love them both very much. Keep up the geat work guys. We need you.
Rod stewart looks like hes enjoying the audience as much as they are him
Forever Young 👏👏 He’s 76 years old and still rocking it! Maggie ❤️
If I had two minutes to talk to Rod, I'd tell him about the re-scheduled date where I saw him and the Faces in Germany in a small venue in the mid-70's with the crowd being about 300 people and very few of us we're Americans. I got to watch the entire show (and shoot pictures) from the foot of the stage. It was glorious and a night I'll never forget.
Un des plus grand spectacle que j'ai vu. Que d'émotions ressenti. La communion des artistes et du public. Quel bonheur, quel kiff .MONSIEUR STEWART merci !!
Rod 78 yrs old now & still doing fantastic, brilliant concert ❤ ❤❤❤
Fantastic concert Rod very very good .
He announced his retirement from touring just days ago......
Went to a concert in Missouri, je kicked soccer balls put in the theater
J'Anna Jacoby -- Mandolin, Violin, Guitarist is AWESOMELY HOTTTT!!!!!! HER Beautiful SMILE is what dreams are made of!!!!
Happy Birthday, Rod Stewart! May God keep you healthy and talented! 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank God that he is still around.
Everyone in that room was having fun. I played the crap out of this album when it came out. Rod's music is the soundtrack for my life. Takes me back to a simpler time.
Watching this for probably the 20th time it brings back so many memories. My wife passed last month the day before our 51st wedding anniversary. When we first got married "Every Picture Tells A Story" came out. We were in the Army and did not own a TV so playing the grooves off of the few albums we could afford was our entertainment as we dreamed and made plans for our future. The pure joy of the musicians, audience and Rod is the same I have, sitting here crying, as I remember those innocent days in the first year of our marriage. Joan and I saw our dreams and plans come to life over the years. She said her only regret was not getting to further enjoy the great home and life we built together; I thanked her for her efforts in leaving me a place of peace and sanctuary to continue to enjoy. Thank you Rod for being a conduit back to those times and bringing so much joy to the world.

Wow One of the most adorated singers of our lifetime thanks for all memories rod
Yeah!!! Hard working performer. King of love and popular song.
It's great seeing Ronnie Wood and Rod playing together again.
It's not so much rod Stewart who I love but the words of his songs I am presently going through the loss of my husband and his songs have kept me afloat. I listen to his words n his lyrics everyday n his songs r helping me to keep moving on and healing from the loss of my husband 🙏💔 great performer but more importantly he really knows a lot about a broken heart and more importantly surviving after your heart has been broken! 🥰 Thanks for helping me to heal Rod
This is the best!! Rendition of Maggie May. Makes me want to dance!!❤❤❤❤
0:19 👍❤️🎶🎤Rod is simply an amazing artist who you can listen to anywhere and just enjoy life.
I cried tears with joy through this whole thing!!
Actually the level of sophistication in these songs is quite remarkable. The use of the mandolin in contrast to Stewart's gravely voice and the brilliant lyrics is fabulous.
This always takes me back to the yesteryear of when I lived in Munich. Oh how I miss those years. We were all golden then living a charmed life. Beautiful song 🎵 ❤ beautiful place in time.
Rod and Ron...... two of the coolest ever.
Regarde le public !!
Cette communion, ce plaisir !!
C'est extrêmement fort. Je l'aime ce mec.
Ooooh this song brings tears into my eyes. Rod you really stole heart. Coz my wife is called Maggie. Thanks Rod Stewart.

Good old times, when music touched your soul, when the band and the public just had fun together!
I used to take my mom to his concerts. Along with Elton John concerts. It was her high light in life. The way they sing along with you is empowering!
When you go to see Rod, you are so caught up in the moment, at that time it's all you can concentrate on! Thank you Rod for being such a great entertainer!🙏❤️
It absolutely doesn't get better than this!!! Thank you Sir Rod and Ron Wood!!! I am so happy I have seen your face!!!
I don't think I've ever seen another performer. Being so happy to be on stage and the crowd as well, just awesome.
Thank you mr Stewart!
Keep on listening to your music and you are the very best. B
Bass player kills it more than in the original recording! His pulsating bass propelled the energy of the song and makes the it more ALIVE!
The first couple of times I didn't pay attention to the bass but it is incredible.
I say it once more ...who is that insane bass player! Truly outstanding
He was having so much FUN doing this! It was fun to watch.
Rod is.. Rod is the Magnit.. once and forever..LOVE
The story behind, Maggie May is a true testament to youth!!!!! The story is excellent!!!!! You go Rod!!!!! 🥀🥀🥀🥀....
Unfortunately I don't have any words that can sincerely describe this performance. It's incredibly spectacular!!!
Probably one of the best concert crowds I have ever seen.
We have to believe and living in magic moments... Here is one... Rod.. Ron.. Janna... Trio master class... The connection and bonding of audience with Rod we never see anywhere 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉God bless Rod...

Rod&Ron, golden couple. Love the way Ronnie plays his solo. Love Miss Mandoline!
Rod Stewart,the living legend.
Love this song.🎶🎶♥️✌️Named my first cat after this song. She disappeared when I was moving. 😞Never found her. This songs brings back those memories. Thanks for sharing.😇
Probably one of the greatest songs ever written. No one can perform this song the way Rod Stewart does it (and of course, Ron Wood).
It's politically incorrect, you couldn't even release it now.
siii comparto lo que decis!!!

If you think this song is politically incorrect then what about, "Every Picture Tells a Story" :) Great Music from Great Musicians. OH, and BTW: Art is supposed to stir the soul, not worry about offending someone's snowflake emotions
@@x-b52navcpa17 if this song is considered politically incorrect, then one just needs to listen to some raps. Just sayn'...
I adore how he lets the audience sing this to him at several points. He and Ronnie are perfect together.
Yup , and there best friends
명곡중에 명곡입니다 로드노래 정말 사랑합니다❤❤❤❤❤
The transition is brilliant
Vivemos momentos em q da nossa vida fica para sempre e infelismente nao tem como voltar e essas musica faz parte da nossa vida pra sempre

Music 🎶 will carry on though out our lives isn't it wonderful musicians of our youth families and friends shared with us their thoughts and memories of concerts of our youth .
Very nice ... I miss my teenage days so much!
I do too all of his music brings back so many memories especially Maggie May you wrote that strong when lost his virginity and I'm going to share something with you it reminds me of when I lost mine LOL I'm serious you got to love him and his music singer songwriter performer and when he performs he's his own instrument I don't know if you know this but he started out playing harmonica and the rest is history
Rod Stewart is one best of all time ,
For me is one Paul McCartney and Rod Stewart

That Rusty VOICE ❤🤜🏿🤛🏿👍🏿👊🏿✊🏿🤘🏾🤟🏾👌🏿✌🏿☝🏿👏🏿🫶🏾❤😅😊
Ron wood is phenomenal, Rod is, of course, Rod!!
This song has everything that should be performed live on stage: the story of a real love affair, the enthusiasm of all the musicians and the feeling of having experienced the whole audience. There's nothing better than you and your song, Rod. Thank you forever!
👍
Love 💕. Rod singing wondful

Very awesome performance I also recommend Bruce Springsteen tougher than the redt
This performance ❤ was by far one of the best 🎉 I think cuz of the enthusiastic audience ❤
Rod and Ronnie!!!! Tape this!!!!!
from 2:51-3:17 not a sound from the stage, no vocals, no instruments, yet the concert went on from the fans. PRICELESS 😄
I have been watching all of his videos since the last decades this is by far the most enjoyable. Rod you are one of the greatest , THANK YOU
Cuando los artistas tenían que ser artistas, tenían que hacerlo bien y sonaban mejor incluso en los directos.. GRACIAS a los nuevos "Artistas" de hoy en día que estáis haciendo mas grandes si cabe a los de antes..

Epic performance of the two greatest songs he ever written. The crowd is awesome, Rod 's voice is still there, Ronnie as well, and to not forget, Janna Jacoby's wonderful playing in the epic mandolin part. The transitions to and from Gasoline Alley are masterful. Wow!
Yes! That was just so mesmeric and beautiful to experience
YES...that transition is simply magical...pure magic.
Who was the bass player?
Thanks for naming the lady on the mandolin...she had the crowd going and so Rod hugged the dude...kind of a let-down. I have listened to it many times and never get tired of it.
100% agree
Very thankful that am still alive to remember all the years behind n years to come hope this 60yr ol can live another 50 years
Ron and Rod - it's simply magic - and where is Maggie May - everyday ? Mein Englisch ist noch förderungsberechtigt und eine neue Brille ist angesagt.
Aber als Altlateiner kratzt mich das nicht im Geringsten: Venite ad me omnes !
I love Ronnie Wood. A true versatile artist asked by the best to join in. That's a real crafted. What a gifted!
Even saved the sloppy artists of themselves. Fact!
I believe Ron Wood played guitar (and bass guitar) on the original recording in 1971.
Ronnie Wood is the best. I mean who gets to play with the Stones and Rod Stewart?
@@karenweaver6717the Stones and Rod Stewart get to play with Ronnie😎
@4:05 The mandolin girl began to play..wow...it´s a hot moment!!!
Ron Wood, legendery from Jeff Beck, since 1975 by "Rolling Stones" gives at this party the BEST!!!!!
Hope ist comes back again!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍from Germany
Don't know why but I can't get enough of this version of the song. I grew up with it and did appreciate it as much as I do now thank you, bye
Einfach nur geile Musik 😊
Hard to tell who was having more fun, Rod, Ron or the Audience
Whenever I’m feeling low I watch this and instantly feel better! Thanks Rod!
Love that song and atmosphere ,that's brilliant❤
Still love the Tartan terror after all these years....im 77 now and still love the "oldies".....
He really seems to be having fun!
*Its 2022 and we're here again. The song is a timeless masterpiece!*
I love Rod Stewart, he has a rugged looks and unusual husky voice. Love most of his songs, what a talented guy. Ron Wood was his guest guitarist. I really like the sweet looking girl playing the mandolin guitar. This is one of the most lively shows. Second half of the the show, she stole some lime lights.
If you watch his 2018 live performance of Maggie May during "BBC Children In Need Rocks" you see that she's still around!
She reminds me of bruce springstien's younger sister. But i don't know if she is

Who doesn’t love any song that Rod does with the beautiful J’anna Jacoby? I love Rod but J’anna just makes him shine that much more.
Wonderful to see that the performers are enjoying themselves as much as the audience.
