In my experience it's best to keep the servo saver on shifting servos. It serves a purpose of preventing the servo from burning up if it doesn't shift correctly immediately. It also helps prevent things from getting jammed up during shifts.
Literally got this gear set a couple days ago, just waiting on a servo and the time to put them in. This video will definitely make that go smoother. Thanks for all you do man!
I have the parts to do this mod but I think I will hold off for now. Maybe it has been addressed already but wouldn't a servo arm with a slot take the arcing movement out of the equation. So long as the screw could be solidly mounted onto the shift linkage from the trans. It could slide in the slot as needed.
Please tell me there will be more of these axles coming out for sale soon i have a ryft and after watching your first video with the new axles ive been daily watching ebay with no luck and i just want to play with this ryft again
Hey Buddy. It's going to be tough crawling with that motor anyway regardless of gearing. I had that motor too....its an extremely powerful rock bouncer motor , not made for crawling. Try a Puller Pro R 540L or if it'll fit , a PP 4274S. Nice work on the gear swap. Perfect grease too. I've been running White Lithium grease for probably 15 years now. The thick marine grease just shouldn't be used...way too many downsides for the scope of this response. Awesome build anyway. You have a great day.
Yeah man the torque on this motor is insane. As far as crawling goes, I’ll try it on the rocks but I feel it’s way more suited for a rock racing style driving, real bouncers don’t really get down and crawl and their gearing isn’t setup for that, in many ways just like this one is. I may try another motor at some point but I really like this beast motor I have in here.
@@ExocagedRC I took your advise and went to 12mm long bolts. It gives me a little more piece of mind vs the stock bolts. Thanks for the tip and all of the other information you provide in your videos.

Pretty cool that Axial has considered the low gear option when releasing the RYFT back in January as the micro servo mount and gear case are prepared for this upgrade.
