It wasn’t the extra points that created the unnecessary drama on the last drive, it was the stupid prevent D AGAIN on the previous drive letting the Rams go right down the field. That’s the 4th or 5th time this year they literally allowed the opposition back in followed by having to sweat another stop.

Maybe this can be answered on next show, but can they do a 6 man rotation and just have Wheeler pitch on his regular days rest? Like does it matter who zach pitches before or after in the rotation?

If they (yet again) don't change the hitting approach, it's gonna be a long season.

I am a Dodgers fan and yes, they have built a regular season monster, but that's nothing new. For the past decade or so, the issue has been, have they build a playoff series winning roster? And for the most part, the answer has been no. Now, health and whoever is on a hot streak heading into the playoffs will always be for me, the biggest factors. But when the Dodgers failed in the playoffs, it has usually been because of an inconsistent or unbalanced lineup that was so one note with power over contact launch angle sluggers, they were easily neutralized by good pitching staffs which saw them day after day. Having said that, the big changes the Dodgers made this year have primarily been pitching. This lineup is still vulnerable, barring future changes, in a playoff series against teams with at least three front line starters and a strong bullpen. That is why I believe Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Arizona are very capable of beating the Dodgers in a series. Still, don't forget my main two factors: which team enters the postseason healthier and which team is playing really, really well as the playoffs begin.

Seems like the Phils had trouble with reliver with a funny motion. Probably others too. A side-winder is a great pick up.

Yea well, few can command throwing sidearm, so don’t expect much.

The challenge is over a series, guys can get a good feel for a different motion. What makes them effective is that the release point is really unusual and players need time to get used to it. For most sidearm/submarine guys what does them in is that once guys get used to the release, their stuff is often batting practice quality.

Here's how you stop teams like the Dodgers - you set up a hard salary cap.. 1st year over 100% tax per dollar past the cap limit.. 2nd year, that team is barred from competing in the playoffs no matter their record. Do that and you stop these 'super-teams' immediately
