  • Ancient Australian Aboriginal carvings I discovered accidentally over 20 years ago after a severe bush fire are of a whale and possibly a shark.
I returned to the site now hidden by local coastal scrub and thick bush.
After spending an hour of finding its location and by using its proximity to local landmarks I was delighted to find this beautiful artwork again.
I walked in to find the site, but no path leads to the site. It was pure memory that got me there.
After taking video “on ground” I then launched my drone to attempt an aerial view. Arrows in the edit show the carvings.
The site is peaceful, and panoramic when scrub is burned, and well hidden in its current bush growth cycle.
It is on the land of The Dharawal people.
