You made nice choices. I own a full-sized Kenmore (made by LG) washer-dryer combo unit. It DOES take many hours to cycle and frequently you need to rerun the dryer another 2.5 hours. It is unforgiving when you load over 1/2 full- clothes and towels -they do not get dry. It's a neat concept but you hear its going for half the day.
Awesome video .Could you please make a video teaching us how to connect an inverter/battery ,etc with links .My family in Ok lost all power and water in early May due to tornados . Info like this is very helpful ,thank you for posting .
So if i have 2 separate 15amp plugs in my laundry closet, that's enough to run both of these? Thanks so much for this video, I was about to buy the crappy RV ones and I'm so happy i happened upon your channel! Subscribing!!
Great video! I looked for these now, seems this model is discontinued, I so far haven't found an upgraded model. I don't suppose you maybe have heard what the new models are?
I just saw the new models a few days ago, and I had envy. They are the same size with some cool updates to the ones that I have. Unfortunately, I don't have the model numbers for them, but they exist.
Lol here in the uk and across Europe these are standard size machines, you can fill them right up, they don’t need that much space to move the clothes around,
Residential washers come with shipping bolts or transit bolts to prevent the drum suspension from breaking during transit as I am sure the Miele had when you received it. Are you not concerned that your washer will be damaged over time by subjecting it to the rigours of travel? Did you check with the manufacture to see if the warranty was impacted by installing this in a RV? Just asking as I would like to do what you did but I want to be sure its approved for this type of install.
We haven’t been concerned, nor checked with warranty with your issues in question. Of the the travel we have done in the last 6 months it’s been completely fine. Time will tell we suppose. It’s been such a worthy upgrade for us, I can’t tell you the amount of laundry loads completed with two kids in that time span.
I’m thinking about buying this set, my only worry is that when we store the rig for the winter. Have you had to winterize your machines or do you know if it can be done. I would hate to purchase and then have them break next winter.
Unfortunately we don’t have this answer since we have never winterized them. Since we live in the rv full time we wintered in warmer climate, but I imagine that you could use winterizer in them.
We have loved these so much! We were lucky though and have the toy hauler so we got the stacker kit and mounted them to each other and to the floor. They have been the best
@@Wonderfullywander oh, thanks for the fast reply! We have a toy hauler too but we use the garage as an office and would and don't like to lose floor space much since there's already a desk and a chair there but we will have to figure something out 🤔 your video definitely gave us hope to have a laundry system that actually works. Thanks!
The dryer is ventless. It’s runs kind of like a mini fridge and the water collects into a compartment that you dump out. We have a further video on that ☺️
We have a 2021 399TH and have had enough of the lousy results from CG and commercial laundromats. My questions to you are: 1. How did you secure the set to the floor during travel days? We like to use the 1/2 bath during travel days for obvious reasons. Do you find the stack gets in the way for accessing the bathroom or even the living qtrs?
Hi! 1. We bolted the washer directly to the garage floor and we have the stacker kit so they are actually very stable. We have been over some very bumpy roads and have never had an issue. 2. We use the half bath during travel all the time without problems. 3. The light access is behind the units, but we haven’t been bothered with that. There is enough of a gap that we can still use and see what is being turned on etc. The biggest issue we have found (which really isn’t an issue) is that sometimes the dryer throws a code that it needs to breathe more. We clean the vent after each use and open the compressor vent and vacuum it out. That immediately fixes the issue
How do you like your Miele washer and dryer ? Was looking for these but wanted some more feed back on How many towels can you dry at time and how long does it take.
We are obsessed with them! I have a few other videos on some of my favorite features about them. They say to have pretty large loads which it does do. Dry time is fast, like in a home.
Thanks so much for the content. We've been following you guys for a while and I wanted to check in to see how the washer/dryer was doing. Any issues aside from the dryer plinth filter? We've got a Splendide pair in our Solitude and hate them so much we were thinking about purchasing the Miele's in the next week or two.
We still have zero issues with these units. The only issue has been with the cosmetic stacker bar falls out when we move. But it has nothing to do with anything except for aesthetic 😄
Hello! Yes these have been great!! They do a wonderful job cleaning. The only “issue” that isn’t even really an issue is that it can throw an error code that it needs to breath. We open the dryer filter and vacuum it out and all is well. Since we have travelled so much since getting the units it just has gotten dust and other crap from our clothes in it. They have been worth every penny
You should be able to run both machines at the same time. When you hook up the shore power you have 220 coming into the RV. How come you didn't want to use that? It'd be more economical. That's why Europe uses 220 instead of 110! You can wire up your 220 washer and dryer to your 220 breaker panel in the RV. You might have to add a separate little breaker box for the laundry room. That's a simple modification.
@@Wonderfullywander That's fine for your setup. Most residential dryers use either 220 or 110 with a gas heater built-in instead of the electric heater! For those who want to use a residential gas dryer I'm sure you can convert a residential gas dryer to propane. My other point was that anybody can install a residential 220 device of any kind into an RV that has 50 amp power. There are articles available on how to do that! Any drier that uses only 110 v and no gas heater is going to take longer to dry your clothes.
@@Wonderfullywander you are kidding right? Even at Camping World, the price of a Splendide washer is $1119 (regular price) and dryer is $919 (regular price). The sale prices are $999 and $822, respectively.
It is a residential wash machine and dryer that is designed for small condos. It fits really well into the RV community because it allows you to plug and play the machines without the need of any further alterations to your rig.
Is it possible to turn off that horrific irritating beeping noise? Or do you have to unplug the noise maker on the inside? Lots of people hate that beeping noise in electronic devices. 😁😉
@@Wonderfullywander unplug the buzzer, or put it on a toggle switch. 😃 If it was a smart machine it would send you a text when it's done. Or at least let you select the sound it makes.😁
The set we purchased was about $2,000 it is cheaper than the Splendide stackable set. I have seen them at Camping World for $2,600 not including their “installation cost” We have found this option to be cheaper and way more convenient than going to a coin op laundry.
We have had a slendide combo w/d for 12 years and LOVE it . A little bit of a learning curve but after that it is great !
I’m glad it’s been working so well for so long! That is great

You’re welcome ☺️
I was hoping to see how you installed it to see how it would hold up on the road. It definitely seems like a better deal than the Splendide.
We mounted it to the floor, but we would be happy to do a follow up video with more of that Information
@@Wonderfullywander I believe there would be a lot of interest in such a video!
Hi what mounting kit did you use to stack them on top of each other and how did you secure it to your rv
Thanks
We used the mounting kit from Miele, and we bolted the unit to the floor. Sucker doesn’t move!
i have some questions on how you hooked up the washer.
Ok, It was incredibly easy. 😊

You should have a sales comission brother... Cause I'm buying those because of you Hahaha... Thank you Sr!
We wish!! But when it’s something this good we just had to share!
This is exactly what we've been searching for!! What store did you find that amazing sale??
We got them at a place called Fred’s Appliance
Hello I'm going to get a camper and live there would the Miele washer and dryer be good for a family of 4❤
We are a family of 4. It’s been perfect for the last 3.5 years for us. Good luck and have fun!
Do you guys still have the Miele washer and dryer? If so, curious what the exact measurements are because we have a laundry closet…
Yes we do! It’s 24 inches deep, 23.5 inches wide, and stacked on top of each other they are 67 high. That includes the stack kit.☺️
Looks like an awesome pair!. Does these models have specific model numbers for Miele...want to get the right units?! Thanks!

67 Inches
Cubic foot = volume/3 dimensions
Square foot = area/2 dimensions
