This is why I practice track stands and slow speed balance in my basement when I can't ride. I have a lot of room for improvement, but every little bit pays off big time on the trail. Great video!
I wish I hadn't found your videos. Now I'm possessed by mtb trials. I'm 50 and am transitioning 40 years of surfing. I didn't ever think I would find something that could consume me like surfing, but this sport is. You and your friends are absolutely incredible. I had no idea what was possible.
Well that's real mountain biking!! People keep concentrating mainly on decent and ignore climbing .Technical Climbing can be very rewarding an fun.i like your style Jeff!
Love your show Jeff. i watched your tricktionary with Arron Chase like so many years ago while you were on a Giant STP or something like that. Wish you all the best.
Awesome job! I always say I'll try Scooner the last few times I've been to BroCo but we always end up skipping it. I've gotta hit it first next time before I'm exhausted. 🤗
One of things I love about mt biking is that there seems to be good riding everywhere if you look for it or just Google it. I am from New England and when I moved to Westchester NY I was concered the riding would not be that good, I could have not been more wrong, Indiana looks like it has great riding too, hell it looks like NE to me. As usually your riding is spot on, I would have been walking some of those climbs. Take care
I've ridden Schooner multiple times and the technical bits are nuts! Way impressive seeing you clean them, but it is nice to know that you didn't clean the last uphill section the first time. That means there might be hope for us mere mortals...ha, right! But you have inspired me to stop and session them a bit next time to see how far I can get, so thanks for that!
So true. This stuff takes so much practice, I always tell my friends to stop on difficult sections and work on them and you'll get better every time you ride that trail. Plus it's more fun when you can clean everything without stopping!
They need to make bypasses for the technical aspects. There aren't that many outstanding riders in the area, so the trail has very little traffic. It was built by a few inflated ego's. This should be obvious seeing as it's well known very few if any have cleared it straight through. So they might as well create bypasses so others will ride it without having to walk all the tech stuff. This will keep traffic on it and allow mixed level groups better flow, not having to stop and wait for the walkers. There is no point in wasting all that nice flowing trail on such few riders.
Next time I visit my family in Indiana I'm going to have to bring the bike and make a day of Brown County. I'll give that tough climb a go but I have no shame in a quick hike-a-bike :)
I got my MTB start in Indiana. We used to ride out in Staunton back before there were real trails. We had to ride dirt bike and quad trails. But there was some gnarly shit!
Damn, you're a big dude! I'm 6'1" and just getting back into peddling after nearly 20 years off lol. Nice to see a bigger guy shredding it. Found you after watching GMBN Dirt shed show. Anyway, I'm in for awesome footage of even a more awesome sender.
Dude, sorry to keep commenting on all your vid's but the more I watch the more blown away I am! Srly bro! This is one of, if not, the best MTB channel on RUclips. PEOPLE, SUBSCRIBE TO JEFF LENOSKY!!! Seriously EVERYONE, most people pay good money through a coaching service to get this sort of one-on-one instruction with a pro rider! Dude Jeff, I high-five you for your overall radness!!!
Great video! It’s been a while since you posted but I live near the BCSP area and am getting back into mountain biking. Debating an entry level full suspension (say Specialized chisel) vs. carbon hard tail (like an Epic). What would you recommend for this type of riding on a limited budget? Thanks
Wow, and you are 6'4". Me too. What off the biking training do you do? Watts is one thing, but all the stationary, consecutive hops UP rocks is very tiring. What skills would you suggest people master that are just getting to the level where this type of riding is necessary (nose 180, Punch, etc...)?
Great videos, i like the trials skills tips, it's definitely a card in my playbook that needs improvement. If you are ever in upstate new york, check out SMBA trails in Saratoga, I've ridden a lot of places, in the country and SMBA has some of the gnarliest sections anywhere.
I could see a couple pedal’able lines there. But, at the end of the day if you’re MTB’ing a climb and you don’t step off the bike until you clean the trail...job done. Besides, tech sections wouldn’t exist if the “rules” were to only pedal. Sections like that often require all the tools in the shed to complete the run. It’s all good to me as long as there’s no dismount! Ride bikes, have fun! 👍🏽
Anyone interested in attempting Schooners Trace June 15 2020? I'll give the 'trials' section a go, but let's be honest, I'll probably hike-a-bike that section. Schooner is part of the Brown County loop I plan to ride that day ... which will be part of a 3 wk trip to ride the best trails in 11 states from MI to UT along I-70 & back along I-80. I'm prepared to ride solo, but always prefer having other riders along for safety. Lmk - Jed
I had seen your Farlow Gap video, made me want to stay in DuPont! Just started watching other videos and I am in awe of your talents getting over rocks. If you're ever coming through SE KY stop by for coffee!
One other thing, I know I'll never ride like you, I just wish I could get my telemetry data off my Gopro Hero 5 like you do. It drives me nuts. Sometimes GPS data will work, but I"ve never gotten the Polar HRM stuff to come up. Dashware?
Bicycles, ebikes and escooters are great options for last mile, short distance travel. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles by providing safe, protected bike lanes and trails. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Bicycles are healthy exercise and fossil fuels free transportation. Electric bicycles are bringing many older adults back to cycling.
This is why I practice track stands and slow speed balance in my basement when I can't ride. I have a lot of room for improvement, but every little bit pays off big time on the trail. Great video!

Greg Webster thanks Greg. I really appreciate it. Stoked you like the vids.
Dude has unbelievable control of the bike
Thanks!
Impressive riding, Jeff! That technical section near the end was crazy. Well done, man!
Well that's real mountain biking!! People keep concentrating mainly on decent and ignore climbing .Technical Climbing can be very rewarding an fun.i like your style Jeff!
roee kombelis thank you. I'm glad you like the videos!
Alot of people focus on descent bcuz thats what they like real mtb riding is riding what YOU like
Your skills are mind boggling... so inspirational. Keep these trailboss vids going dude!
Wow! So great to see that trail get some love from a worthy rider. On my only attempt, I wound up walking out with my handlebar bent in half.
Toby Holsman at least you tried 😊
I really have to learn how to 180 and hop! I like the last scene dude where you hopped over the roots and rocks.
Okay. That was simply ridiculous. You are a BEAST!
Great riding, great cinematography. This channel deserves way more views, I'm sure it will get them soon.
So awesome to see someone clear that trail - nice job!
Joe Schoolcraft thank you!

The Mediocre Mountain Biker definitely check it out!
I can only imagine how stoked you must have been when you cleaned that section. Awesome trails skills and great vid!
Trail Features really stoked. I've cleaned it in bits and pieces but not the entire line!
Outstanding riding Jeff! You’re the man!
That was the sickest climb I've ever seen up and over some ridiculous terrain.
That's probably difficult as hell to ride down, never mind up.
One of things I love about mt biking is that there seems to be good riding everywhere if you look for it or just Google it. Major HIGH FIVE! Serious work. I tried Schooners Trace once and dented a frame !!
Owen Mundy thanks!

Eric Frazier thanks man. DEFINITELY stop and session. That's the only way to learn stuff.
So true. This stuff takes so much practice, I always tell my friends to stop on difficult sections and work on them and you'll get better every time you ride that trail. Plus it's more fun when you can clean everything without stopping!

@@daveevad867 Or you can just stay on the green trails? There are plenty of those in BC.
Awesome job!! Hope you can do some Wissahickon in Philly. The gnar after the Indian statue would be great to see you conquer!
Awesome as always! Were you running the motas for this one?
Excellent breakdown. Subb'ing. Loving the Indiana content.
I walk about 50% of the tech sections in Schooner , awesome riding for sure!!
bet i could walk that trail with the best of them lol nice work
matt murray Walk Boss
Jeff Lenosky that will be my video series lol
Don't be so sure. I've hiked it and had a tough time. It is steep and SLICK.
Diabolical skills. And talent. Golly given.
Robert Gary thanks Robert! That trail was tricky.
Amazing riding Jeff.
That was crazy impressive. Nice job!
Next time I visit my family in Indiana I'm going to have to bring the bike and make a day of Brown County.
I'll give that tough climb a go but I have no shame in a quick hike-a-bike :)
You should come ride the trails around St. Louis. Very similar.
I got my MTB start in Indiana. We used to ride out in Staunton back before there were real trails. We had to ride dirt bike and quad trails. But there was some gnarly shit!
Love that climbing, still at 67

You made it look sooooo easy! Awesome riding!!
MTB Action Cam! Definitely NOT easy
No doubt. I hike-a-biked that trail years ago. Those rocks are slippery to hike too!
Sick, excellent edit!!!
Wow, trials skills pays off BIG time!
Nice riding my friend! I really enjoy these videos. Keep them coming!
Regular Guy Mountain Biking thanks! I will.
Savage cycling whoa...excellent...
Dude absolutely nutty riding.
U got the skills needed. I'm hikeabiking!😂
LuisManuelHdez thanks!
OMG HI IM Brenda from Ord tarrece!! when you visited those tricks were So cool😁🚲🚲🚩
Insane skill.
Awesome, awesome, awesome!
Great riding :)

Nice! What kind of power sensor do you use?
What did you think of schooners trace? I have only been to brown co once planning a return trip very soon
What do you ride? 6'4 checking in. Always curious what bikes fit well for us long guys?
Great videos, i like the trials skills tips, it's definitely a card in my playbook that needs improvement. If you are ever in upstate new york, check out SMBA trails in Saratoga, I've ridden a lot of places, in the country and SMBA has some of the gnarliest sections anywhere.
@Michael Streed - Too funny - I was thinking of The Rookery in Saratoga when watching this.
Mad props!
Marty M thanks dude!
Awesome! Bad ass man!
Furao80 thanks!
Jeff, whats a good tire for wet rocky areas like this? Im looking at the Morsa, Barzo, or the Martello. Thanks!
For trail riding the Martello is hands down the best tire I've used!
I "walked" that trail after a ride in BC and it was difficult.
Wow, nice video!
So basically you have to do trials in order to clear that climb...
Matt Hunt that's correct. It's s really tough challenge.
Jeff Lenosky Really nice and smooth but it’s always a debate in my world if trials counts. Maybe you can go back and try to pedal the hill :-)
I could see a couple pedal’able lines there. But, at the end of the day if you’re MTB’ing a climb and you don’t step off the bike until you clean the trail...job done. Hey what camera do you use that shows both pulse and speed thanks
Stickers settings in the camera…

Garmin VIRB gauges too.
Wow. You truly are superhuman
Mr.Moonboy thanks man, little better than the last time. Share it with the locals If you can!
Jeff Lenosky / I definitely will! I guarantee they will love to watch someone ride the whole trail clean!
impressive !
oh yeah... nice one toooo!! 🙌💪🏻
crisu86 than you!! It's a great trail!
Jeff has ridiculous skills
I really want to make a "schooners trace no foot-dab club" for this trail, for those that are into that sort of thing...
a lot of agility for 6'.4'' guy great video
Ch33ki DVL thanks! I try
Good shit

What bike is he riding in this video?
Garrett 01 I'm riding my Giant Anthem. Shorter travel since it's a super slow speed trail.
Jeff Lenosky I'm local and trying to research a do it all bike to start, thanks for the response
👍🏻 NICE!!!!
Unreal what you can pull of and on an ANTHEM! Makes me realize how over-biked a lot of us are!
SNS1212 it's a great nimble bike and since that trail doesn't have real big hits it was the perfect choice!
Sick!
Thanks Jimmy, be sure to check out my other vids!
Holy shit
That looked ez, 🤣 hahaha
What a video that is a lot of entertainment for a free sub 😀
Mitch Warren HTUK thanks dude!
Jeff you're more impressive than the crazy Red Bull crap.
Kenny Dunn thanks Kenny. I guess it all takes skill but those guys are crazy I would never do that stuff! Did you just find my channel?
I had seen your Farlow Gap video, made me want to stay in DuPont! Just started watching other videos and I am in awe of your talents getting over rocks. If you're ever coming through SE KY stop by for coffee!
Kenny Dunn will do!!
One other thing, I know I'll never ride like you, I just wish I could get my telemetry data off my Gopro Hero 5 like you do. It drives me nuts. Sometimes GPS data will work, but I"ve never gotten the Polar HRM stuff to come up. Dashware?
Lol you thought it was technical until you rode the Pleasanton Ridge

I went here recently without my bike, just taking this blonde bimbo site seeing, and no freakin way.that trials part is hard enough just walking.
