Yes! Please update Studio and Impression!

Topaz Impression is one of my oldest, most used painterly effects softwares. I still use Studio 2 since impression and glow are accessible in there, and every time I’m in that program, I wish they would update it so that my students could buy it. This is gorgeous and I applaud your embrace of AI for some creative fun! 🎉👏☺️🎨

Thanks Dave. Yes, I think Topaz Studio 3 (AI) would blow away anything out there

from their website : "In 2020, we made the decision to focus on our Image Quality applications and discontinue our "creative" apps. Studio 2 was discontinued at that time." 😥

It’s been a while but I’m pretty sure that it was Studio 2, or at that time it may have just been Studio, that brought me into the Topaz fold. I have been a loyal, paying user ever since and would love to see Topaz revive and continue to grow and support Studio 2.

    Hey Dave,
I would love to see an update to Topaz Studio 2 its awesome - Such as shame that its been mothballed along with some of the other tools except for Topaz Mask that never worked properly and was better off not being made 🙂

I have Topaz Studio 2 and it’s great. I’ve told them several times that management made a mistake in killing Studio 2.

Love this! I used the original stand alone software like Impressions together with Studio. I still use Studio 2 frequently and will continue to use it as long as it will work. Impressions stopped working for me a while back. A Studio 3 would be awesome.

Nice Dave! I love it. Very similar to iColorama. I love the ability to affect shadows, highlights etc. in the detail panel. Yes, we cannot let these filters go away. Either update TS2 with additional content and make it useable as a PS plugin (without Rosetta) or incorporate into TPAI and build from there. Thanks again!

Dave, I agree Topaz should seriously consider upgrading this tool. I, like you, find this tool to be very powerful when it comes to things like this. I often use it to do just the kind of things that you do but have often found that there is room for improvements. Either full up Studio 3 or even incorporate some of these features in Topaz AI.

Dave, I agree. I use Topaz Studio 2 daily and would love to see an update of the program. I love being able to adjust my images rather than just taking or leaving what some AI has generated.

Say it isn't so, Joe! What ,Topaz is dropping Studio 2 updates? That's crazy, it is one of my favourite creative programs, so easy to use. Please tell us if we can do the same things in newer Topaz products. And I agree with those below to support new versions of Studio. I love it!

It would be wonderful if Topaz develops new versions of Topaz Studio and Mask AI. And also, incorporates everything that DeNoise AI and Sharpen AI do into Photo AI.

Great image! Never thought of using Firefly as raw material for paintings. I'm pretty sure Topaz no longer has the talent behind most of their creative products. My speculation is that there was an internal struggle a while back of AI vs. creative. AI won and the brains behind the creative stuff left for parts unknown. Hopefully they'll reemerge with another outfit once their NDA's expire.

Thanks for your tutorials, Dave. I really like TS2 and I've been using it more lately for creative purposes. But, I wonder if you experience the same problem as I do, ie Even if I start with a smart layer in Photoshop, I can't go back to TS2 and readjust my settings. When I open the smart filter with the TS2 effects, TS2 opens up but my settings are gone so I can't tweak them! I work on an iMac 2017. Do you have the same problem? Thank you!

Topaz make some great products and then just abandon them to work on something different. Trying to work on restoring old photos is so much easier with Studio 2. I can fix photos that have faded on one side only and do all sorts of other things that I don't know how to do otherwise. Similarly with Topaz Mask I can make selections effortlessly that take a lot longer in PS. Another Topaz problem is that some of the newer versions of programs don't work in Photoshop Elements. I don't use PS enough to warrant the monthly subscription and can do what I need with Elements. Complaining to Topaz about these problems falls on deaf ears and I feel somewhat cheated after spending the money on a one time product.
