Dude! Brilliant! I have been cooking professionally for decades and finally am building my first Food Truck out of a Shuttle Van. Alot of the equipment I've seen in your videos are the same I've been looking at and I love your DIY Attitude! I'm building from scratch as well and really am happy I Found this channel! Im setting up shop in Virginia and I'm a transplant from New England/New Hampshire. Keep up the great work and I wish you much success!
Wow that’s such amazing feedback thank you so much! Awesome that you already have the professional cooking experience, you’re already half way there!! Amazing stuff feel free to DM me some of your progress pics! And if I can be of any help at all just reach out! Thanks again 🙏🏻
Are you going to make any videos of you operating the truck? Would like to see. I’m starting one and copy and pasting your videos! Thank you. Would like to see more
You did such a great job. It looks great. Thank you for making this video. It's extreamly helpful. What material are you using for your stensil? I'm having a difficult time finding it online mostly because your accent (which is amazing btw) is a bit difficult for me to decifer the spelling from haha
Yes those are Polywall utility panels (available at most Home Depot’s). However I would definitely recommend checking out white aluminum, if it’s ok for use in your area, because the finish is really clean!
Hey Dan How’s it going? Hey did your L&I require plans for your build? If so was it just 1 plan of the trailer layout? Or did you have to do details about the electrical, gas, and plumbing? Did you do yourself or architect? Thank brother
Great question! Mine required a detailed floor plan and complete menu to be submitted. Mine didn’t state specifically about gas lines or electrical, but I put them in my plan anyways. Did require location of fire suppression, hand sink and hot water if I remember correctly. I did all of mine myself, your location may or may not allow you to do that. Central FL is particularly lax from feedback I have received. Hope this helps!
OMG! This looks amazing! Thank you for sharing this! I just got quoted on decals; $700! I am about to paint my trailer and do it myself. Thankfully my logo is only words too! I do have a question though, do you plan on sealing the trailer? and if you are, what kind do you use sealer?
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻 we are so happy with how it turned out! That’s awesome I’m so glad I could help with your painting stage, let me know how it goes! Yes we do plan to seal the entire trailer once we finish painting the logo on the other walls, but for now I have no idea what type of sealant to use. As soon as I know I will post an update 👍🏻
As a former Sign Painter, I gotta say... looks great! Next time use One Shot Lettering Enamel. It's durable with a high gloss finish
Thank you so much! We are super happy with how it came out!
Whew! This is a life saver for folks like me. Recently asked to do some enormous size logos!

Excellent job! Necessity is the father of invention
Thank you so much! Absolutely it is!

Beautifully done! What did you use to cut out your stencil? Scissors ? Utility knife? I know this may be a silly question. But I'm an airhead 😅
Good question! I actually used a combination of some high quality scissors and a box cutting knife!

Hi can I just spray paint or paint my food trailer or can I prime start painting ?
I didn't catch what kind of panel you used...sorry, my hearing stinks, 😒 was that polywall? What thickness? Where would I find it?

Thank you sir! We are super happy with how it came out!
Did you paint the black matte on the trailer? If so, what paint/tools did you use and how long did it take?

If you didn’t show the paint, it honestly looks like a wrap/decal
Thank you so much! We are super happy with how it came out! And way more cost-efficient!
