Dude, the amount of work and craftsmanship you put into these builds is absolutely staggering. I'm sure the band will be head over heels for this brutal majesty.
The dust particles on the lens really added something to the video. I'm not being sarcastic, either. Also you have a exceptional gift in teaching. I learned a lot and never felt bored.
Beautifully presented - only the most relevant dialogue the whole way through - but even so your personality shines bright, which is really nice to watch, because we learn small details about you as we take this amazing journey. Great video - really inspiring.
Oh my goodness this is amazing! You worked so hard on this it is a masterpiece and your personality is golden! Love your channel, may you have good luck forever
While (as you said at the start) this isn't quite blacksmithing there's a whole lot of artistry that goes into what you do and that's awesome. The finished sword is beautifully detailed.
I don't know about woodworking, every time I've tried my hand at it I get the amperage set too high and then the wood just burns maybe I should use DC instead of AC, but my ol' lincoln buzzbox only does ac
This is some beautiful work from a beautiful person. I love how these older videos are presented as if we are all going to go off and give it a go when in reality 95% of us never grind any metal. Also, love to see how in your 'now' videos how you have overcome problems like welding splatter.
i bet kelly and rena are thinkin about negative term of dwarf and not the actual meaning of dwarf as in basic old-school fantasy settings. i'm quite sure that as irish-mike has history in the fantasy roleplaying games, this is not the first time it has been brought up. also he has about a million times better selfesteem then kelly and rena who seem to think that everything in the world is meant as insult. tl:dr kelly and rena, relax and go eat a cupcake with a topping of "shut the fuck up"
way i think of a dwarf is a big built powerhouse of a guy who is incredibly strong has a big beard and extremely talented especially with metal but is terrible when it comes to woodworking
That sword looks great. Very nice work!! but it's not heat treated or reinforced to harden it or anything. Wouldn't that thing rust in a matter of days? heck I'm thinking it might be rusty by the time it ships to your customer.
That's a new one on me, why do you think heat treatment affects how fast a thing rusts? It does not. It's made from a prehardened plate called Hardox; ruclips.net/video/TW0aBrEqecc/видео.html
ohhhh :-o I see. Then please excuse my ignorance. I just thought it needed to be hardened like the other steels, but maybe was too big and you needed a huge forge for it or something.
The Guitar Whisperer WHAT has me making one have to do with anything? The guy didn't at all attempt to make this a real sword not even hardening the blade, Its a wall hanger dude and that is all
Because The Guitar Whisperer spoke about him charging money for it and value wise it matters greatly, did you not read the first comment and understand my replies? Akyde
man, you are genuinely interesting. I was sitting here the whole time thinking (I should just skip to the finished product) but never did cause of how interesting this is.
Those cracks on the back of the skull really made me love it , I havent even seen the finished product but just the fact you made little tiny cracks is amazing
The music playing when welding the fist and collar to the handle was awesome. Its like getting pumped up while holding my little cell phone watching you weld and grind down metal. Lol love your videos though... especially the 45 min and up ones. Its awesome watching your process, getting tips, and seeing the beauty once your done. Its just awesome and nothing else like it.
I play FFXIV and love doing work as Smith and Goldsmith. This video is a surefire way toward appreciation of what metal workers of any kind (from smeltery to stock removal to old fashion blacksmithing) go through to make their metal works of art.
Man, seriously, I love your videos and I love your swords, they are awesomely incredible! I saw your Guts Greatsword, I saw your Cloud sword, also this, and I must say it’s incredible!
im so glad im not the only one that wants a daedric sword haha.. i been playing that game a crap ton here lately. the ebony sword would look beast too... what would be even more badass (too me at least because im a bow hunter and love bows) is to make the daedric bow.
My wood elf girl is a specialised archer/mage/thief. She's good at sneaking and picking locks, not so good at carrying armour. I'm not very far in Skyrim, and about 45 hours into Oblivion. I will try to add some perks/skills into heavy armour sometime. Myself, however, is also not very strong. I need fuelling up with more sword building vids!
I would love to see the "Great sword" from the dark souls series, the thing is absolutely MASSIVE and simple. Also one of the better ultra great swords in the game.
I usually use apple cider vinegar to strip ruse off of metal pieces of mind, what kind of vinegar solution is that you use, I don't think I've ever seen it come out that clean before!
Sebastian Moreno Just regular store bought vinegar, but this piece wasn't actually "rusty", that top layer is mill scale, which is hard on the abrasives, but is a really really thin layer on top of clean steel. I doubt vinegar would work as well on heavily pitted stuff.
I wish I could give more than one like cause you deserved it AF. Amazing work, awesome work. I don't imagine the time you spent creating that awesome sword and the time you took to do that video. Congrats dude, amazing work again! keep it that way
After he should make some bad ass armor set, tame a wolf and fight for the glory of the world 🌎🐺😇 Or go to a midevil place were theres still knights, villages, and no electricity and he can be the unknown knight and become a prince
This really is an INCREDIBLE looking sword, I would have enjoyed seeing the customer's face when they were presented with it for the first time... totally awestruck!
A novice in this type of work can learn what would take years to learn on one's own by just watching a build or two of Michael's....masterful work, sir.
Thinking about me going to the woods hunting for food, then when danger comes in action i would draw out this sword to defend myself from being attacked😂 just think all the awesome things you could do with this awesome sword😉
This build still blows my mind. How he managed to make metal have this leathery rotty texture is genuinely impressive.
17:47 The sunlight on the background, bird chirping everything makes it so aesthetic and calming
he's very tall for a dwarf blacksmith
Hahahahaha
Ataberk Solmaz Yes... he is quite tall for a dwarf... are we sure he isn't two dwarves stacked on top of each other?!
Maybe he just looks tall but really he is 3'2
Everthing around him is Just small

I must say... I am in love with your metal separation technique 17:38
I swear he's unlocked the Grinding Master achievement somewhere. the level of precision and detail he can get using that one tool is remarkable.
Oh my goodness this is amazing! You worked so hard on this it is a masterpiece and your personality is golden! Love your channel, may you have good luck forever
I must say that you are a very talented. Love how you explain things as you go. Great job.
This guy has to be ready for war I need his things he makes

That One Weird kid ههههههههه 💩🙊🙈
That One Weird kid same
That is the best sword I have ever seen in my life. Great work with the skull.
While (as you said at the start) this isn't quite blacksmithing there's a whole lot of artistry that goes into what you do and that's awesome. The finished sword is beautifully detailed.
Metal working is one the coolest arts in existence
Yep Metal and Wood are one of the best
+aspe121 you are goddamn right!
I don't know about woodworking, every time I've tried my hand at it I get the amperage set too high and then the wood just burns

Hey Paul!
He seems like a cool guy. Definitely an artisan of merit.

I'm glad I watched this one. The level of detail on the face and horns is amazing, and that handle is incredible. You are quite a craftsman!
legit tallest dwarf alive.
I know right!?
kelly mcbain ?
***** uh no? he has a burly beard and is an amazing smith.
i bet kelly and rena are thinkin about negative term of dwarf and not the actual meaning of dwarf as in basic old-school fantasy settings. i'm quite sure that as irish-mike has history in the fantasy roleplaying games, this is not the first time it has been brought up. also he has about a million times better selfesteem then kelly and rena who seem to think that everything in the world is meant as insult.

What a brilliant craftsmanship ! You are really good in what you are doing . I am really engrossed with your video !
Even though this isn't my style of design, this is one hell of a fucking great piece.

This is awesome! Metal work with metal as soundtrack!!! \m/
I hope you charged a shit ton of money for this thing.
The Guitar Whisperer why? its not a REAL sword, just looks like one
*****
Let's see YOU make one....
The Guitar Whisperer
WHAT has me making one have to do with anything? The guy didn't at all attempt to make this a real sword not even hardening the blade, Its a wall hanger dude and that is all
***** Why does it matter that it's not a real sword?
Because The Guitar Whisperer spoke about him charging money for it and value wise it matters greatly, did you not read the first comment and understand my replies?
Akyde
man, you are genuinely interesting. I was sitting here the whole time thinking (I should just skip to the finished product) but never did cause of how interesting this is.
i have always loved how you dont mute when you do fastforward parts, but the music with the unmuted bit really added to the whole experience
That sword is one of the most badass things I've ever seen!!!
Jack DaGamer xd
I hope you reach 1M subs soon so that youtube will send you a gold play button and make a sword with it lol jk. But seriously you deserve more subs
im certain he would do it and auction it off for charity
Maybe he could cut the play-button-triangle and use the rest for a hilt or blade...
But he srly deserves a lot of subs. This guy is a beast
Once he gets 50 mil subs he should get a special metal that he can make his own RUclips sword
Iron Man please Iron Man suit in a video
I Feel like I'm watching Skyrim Blacksmith Immersion :3
He's a true nord.

That client had better paid at least 10k $ for this! The amount of work put into your stuff is crazy nuts!
I thought 3D modelling was tedious but this, this is on a whole new level! Kudos to you!
The music playing when welding the fist and collar to the handle was awesome. Its like getting pumped up while holding my little cell phone watching you weld and grind down metal. level 99 smithing over here
😂😂😂
this is stock removal, not "smithing"
I play FFXIV and love doing work as Smith and Goldsmith. This video is a surefire way toward appreciation of what metal workers of any kind (from smeltery to stock removal to old fashion blacksmithing) go through to make their metal works of art.
Smith me a rune 2h plz

If the world of Mad Max became a reality and we had to scavenge metal and build cool shit to survive, you'd be a God. What a guy.
Post-apocalyptic blacksmith!!!!!
Man, seriously, I love your videos and I love your swords, they are awesomely incredible! I saw your Guts Greatsword, I saw your Cloud sword, also this, and I must say it’s incredible!
Make a daedric great sword from skyrim. I don't know if I spelled daedric right
GIMME
+cody clampitt And Daedric armour too. Out of the 1/2 inch hard steel so it's as mad and heavy as the swords.
"You are over encumbered! 16950/150"
im so glad im not the only one that wants a daedric sword haha.. i been playing that game a crap ton here lately. the ebony sword would look beast too... what would be even more badass (too me at least because im a bow hunter and love bows) is to make the daedric bow.
+marty slackjaw use skills so heavy armor weighs nothing and doesnt slow yo down ;)
