I've never even realized until she pointed it out here that she doesn't really describe her characters appearance that much bc I've never had a problem not seeing them. I have always saw them so vibrantly in my mind. I am a white female and my mother introduced her to me when I was around 14 and I have been in love ever since.

I'm a big fat person just like Toni Morrison. Toni gives me hope and inspiration that I too may live well into my 80's before I die. Toni Morrison died in her 88th year and I believe her weight here when she was about 82 years was approximately 260 pounds.
@MM_Cele I do watch what I eat. I eat healthy, except for pizza night. I could write my own book on "pizza night". Beyond that, I eat fresh fish, sushi, etc. I drink juices but no alcohol. I know skinny people who eat more than I do. I just can't seem to keep it off. I'm great on a bicycle. So, I do get my fair share of exercise. People tell me that I'm the most nimble fat person on a bike they've ever seen. It's true. One thing I don't like though is when teenagers and young adults in their twenties scream at me out their car windows as they pass me by: They yell at me, "Hey fatso!" I wonder why it's always the word "Fatso" they choose to you. I may look fat, but I don't feel fat.
