I’m getting a e30 and a stock v8 motor for pretty much free in a few weeks. the fact that you guys are from NC like me is pushing me even harder to do this lol
Whenever i think of suicide and all the shitty things in my life and things not going my way. Letting the sad boi hours get the best of me and i think of giving up and selling my v8 e30 build in the proccess. Your videos always make me feel better and give me some of my motivation back
@@alejandroochoa3541 Car i still under work. Lots of time went to plan everything at zero, cause i dont like to buy bolt on parts. Here some things that i have done: -roll cage -trunk strut -trunk spare wheel delete -bucket seat fitting -engine and trans fitted (m62b44, manual 6-speed) -drivetrain lining -hydro brake fitting -steering column lining -e39 ABS fitting -e34 v8 remote brake booster and mechanism -e46 "purple tag" steering rack -e46 steering coupler mod -e34 whole rear subframe and typ188 diff with e36 back cover -e36 front control arms 5-lug mod etc... I surely forgot something, but theres most of it. I was so sure i get it done by now, but modding and planning takes so much time.
Great project, friend, I greet you from Ecuador, we are working on the e30 M62 engine project, have you documented the adaptation of the engine and the gearbox? Would you help me with our project?
Awesome build . Watch your videos all the time. Curious of what rear end you’re running and if you need to strengthen the rear strut mount support? I have a NV m62 in my 94 530i and it’s fun , but I’ve always wanted to do this swap, If not a 6L LS.
Absolutely. Cut off the rear muffler. Pretty popular mod on most of the v8 bimmers. E39's are really quiet stock, but once you chop off that rear muffler it gives it a nice tone. It's not droning or overly loud. In fact, you'll barely even notice it cruising around until you step on it.
The E30 is light and the tires are the ones doing the work while stopping . Huge brakes on a street car that doesn't see any track time are just dead weight.
Wrong…. Very wrong. The more surface area the brakes have and better bite force is a tremendous improvement even for street use. This guy (as you can obviously see) drives is car HARD
@@alejandroochoa3541 More surface does not mean more bite fore.. Surface helps with cooling i.e. more surface = faster cooling and reduce brake fade. Smaller brakes can brake just as good as bigger ones, the difference can be seen after repeatedly using them. Watch this ruclips.net/video/hT035DK8viY/видео.html because you are the very wrong one.
I'm in the middle of swapping an M62 into my E30 and this is exactly how i want it to sound. 😍😍 Is it a full straight pipe from the headers? No cats/resonators/silencers?
The X-pipe is key with these engines because it helps with scavenging. You'll definitely notice a gain on a v8 car with a proper mandrel exhaust and an X-pipe in the middle. Good work.
@@psavel274 absolutely. I'm just about ready for my car to go to the fabricator and have a pair of stainless equal length manifolds and full system made up, I'm not sure whether to have a small centre resonator or no centre and a small rear.... not sure what to do with that but the X pipe is a definite
@@clayp.e30_v86 I would go with a short 'straight-through' style. Check out the Vibrant ones, and also Burns Stainless. The Burns is a little more pricey but race quality. Both of them will not blow out the packing material like some will. What I would do is use V-bands for all the connections including your resonator. That way is you decide to go louder for say track days you can simply bolt in a straight piece of pipe with the V-bands it's only a few minute affair to pull the entire system off for say trans or driveshaft work. Not to mention they dont need gaskets and seal well. All the best fabbed exhausts use them for a reason and that's all I ever used when I made exhausts for myself or a customers car. siliconeintakes.com has great prices on V-bands. No affiliation, but that's where I used to order them. Burns Stainless may also have them on their site but expect to pay more if you order them there. Any more tips hit me up bro.
@@psavel274 yes the fabricator did say to me he would use v bands in the middle and rear as I was considering going straight pipe with no boxes what so ever, just an x pipe but I thought what if that's to loud 🤔, so he did say he would put a section in with v bands incase I wanted to change it up. Cant wait man, hopefully our dim Witt prime minister doris Johnson doesn't lock the country down again. As this was supposed to be done on april 10th but the world went nuts and it got postponed 😤. Secomd time lucky 🤞 lol
Great job diving into such an in-depth work heavy job on cars! How do you know what to do? And at such a young age, what is your background on cars mechanic? Did you learn from someone or just an interest?
Yes verie good slippeur in france the mode the slippeur one cars passe partout mais une betes de courses en fetes verie good slippeur look Google the slippeur in. France is the maxi mode
The only thing right about this car is the engine sound... Everything else is done completely wrong... Just my opinion... Missed opportunity to make this car a sleeper.... This being red is totally the opposite of sleeper... You may not agree, but Again, my opinion

Find Jesus.
Im doing v8 m62b44 e30 2d 1986 swap atm. Interior is almost ready to some track use cant wait to start fitting engine on. Nice video

Your left brake light is out. Love the car!

Could you have kept power steering, ac and power brakes if you wanted to?

I'd love to do something like this to my E30, do you have any guidance on the build?
Thanks
Been driving M62 6 speed e36 I love the tourqe!

Wohoooooooo😍 deymmmmm
Nice job! So what engine do you have inside that beautiful e30? Is it "M60b44" (M62 block with m60b40 Heads) or is it just regular m62 or m60 engine?
Thanks! Correct, it is a franken m60/62
Nice car. The thrown stars also look great on there. What red colour is that?(I'm lovin'it)
Sounds amazing wow E92 m3 vibe 😆
Did you use the M62 lifters and / M60 springs?
What’s your build list
you in Oregon? I saw a Germantown Rd sign
OLIVAAAAAAAAR
so the gearbox is from 540i manual?
Correct
Do you have a mod list? I have an e90 328i and a e38 740i. Considering swapping the m62 into the e90
If your swapping a v8 into an e90 you gotta do an S65 from the M3!! I have a build thread on r3V somewhere..but an s65 would literally bolt right up
Ecu ?
That sounds fucking naughty
Привет👋подскажи пожалуйста,маркировку двс,КПП,редуктора,тоже свап готовлю на е30 купэ)
Straight pipe?
En france on apl ca un slippeur qui veux dire ne paye pas de mine mais attention à ca puissance

Sad to say that e30 4dr would get owned by e34 540 lol same size but even wider track
How in the hell would you come to that daft conclusion 😳😳 same engine in a much lighter car and probably geared shorter too
Sounds like a koenigsegg
