What suspension are you running? Stroker is done with M47 crankshaft ? I think that is not revving as fast as stock M42 hence suggestion for a shorter drive 4,44 i think from E34 if you have a 188mm works but would be useless on the street .

Marrakesh is such an underappreciated color. I've loved it since I first saw it on an X1 at the dealer. I still toy with the idea of painting my E21 that color. This E30 is such a great car!
Instant like for the car. Back in the 90's we had similar BMW, E30 coupe I believe, parked in the courtyard for a long time. It had minor body damage fixed but not painted, like someone run out of money mid-repair. Or something bad happened since this car ran (local kids hotwired and rode it once) but stayed idle at least for a year or two and it was 90s or early 00s.
Excellent build. She handles like a dream, but she needs a supercharger for coming out of the corners, and twin turbos for the top end runs. My favorite color too.

Agree that a shorter final drive would help extract the most from the engine - the gears are fine for a 6K power band, but with 7.5K they're too tall and the motor falls out of it's powerband - the car could really benefit from a 6 spd - beautiful build though ❤️
If you're in a brand new 992 and a 180hp E30 "321is" is staying on your tail while you're hogging the left lane, you don't need that 911 and/or would be best off keeping it on the road, not a racetrack.

I love that this build looks to maximize what is possible WITH the motor that could have come with the car in that in that time. If you want max revs and power you’d K swap it or maybe put M5x or S5x 6 cylinder but then it’s just another Frankenstein build. This is cool.

Brake upgrade recommendation that fits under stock 4x100 15" bbs wheels with easy to get and inexpensive parts: Front: e46 4-cylinder calipers and Mini R51 disc Rear: 323ti caliper + disc (need to drill 4x100 holes) or m3 e30 disc turned down brake booster (tandem) and master cylinder from e34. This will retain original brake balance and gives a great pedal feel! Only downside is that you need ~20mm spacers in the front. But the replacement parts are cheap compared other solutions (compare with alternatives presented on the websites e30 or 300mm) Did you homologate the 205/50 tires? There are hardly any good options left for 205/55 unfortunately :(
@hobizoli on regular e30s maybe. But you really shouldn't use anything above 15" on convertibles as the chassis is too soft. And I wanted to keep the original wheels. The aftermarket maxilites are not bad but I still prefer the looks of the bbs.

2.1L from M42 required custom 87mm piston & M47's 87mm crank, no? And from what I understand, it also required bit of a short conrod, which might explained keeping the max rpm at merely 7500rpm. I'm curious where the tachometer came from? I actually never seen BMW with this style of tachometer.
That E30 has a lovely colour, well built and really great owner. Misha drove this car really well. On a separate note, the Red Porsche and Orange Supra are really not worthy to drive those cars. They just suck.
I think the car needs proper warm up it gradually opened up, these cars I think are unpredictable, in the long trips they open more and becomes smoother my guess, the hot oil and heat transforms the car I noticed that with older cars especially with older BMW ?maybe I’m wrong

The tachometer is identical to the Euro spec E36 M3.
Seems like the camshaft only wakes up at 6500, but being limited to 7500rpm doesnt give to much power range. Beautiful car and build tho
