You read my mind, on my way to work today i was like what need to make a video about this subject. Good video, it was much simplerer if the devs just kept the damaged values in cfg eventspawns rather than just adding a 2nd file
Sadly this is not working. I removed the tags everywhere in the cfgspawanabletypes.xml file and I changed the global settings to min=0.0 and max=0.1 Any suggestions?
Any idea why the items still spawned damaged after server restart? i fixed both files with swaping everything to 0.0 but still after starting up the server i see items all around the map damaged.
HI, i'm trying to get the Humvee to spawn in with all Pristine parts including the cargo in the boot. I haven't changed the loot settings in the globals.xml as the cfgspawnabletypes.xml overwrites it from what i can gather and i only want the Humvee and cargo to be Prisitine and everything else on the map to have variable damage. I have followed this video to add the damage tags, wiped the server, checked to make sure there are no errors in the xml but nothing i seem to do will work. The humvee will spawn with some parts worn, some parts Pristine and some badly damaged. Damage Min/Max is set to 0. Is there something im missing that needs changing aswell? Any help would be appreciated please.
how do i make the weapons last like about what a real gun would last a long time but on the other hand like it wouyld last like say its pristine and it imediatly goes into warn then amage then badly damage then ruined but i9 want the life to last like a real gun esp;ecially the full auto weapons they dont last that long sadly

Did you wipe the server after though of all loot? Otherwise the items still there will stay there until the end of their lifetime

Some items in types.xml will have their own damage min-max settings
what is the percentile for pristine, worn, damaged?
What is find and replace how does one incompetent person(me) do that
Why it doesnt work on some items? Or how long it tooks for the server changes.

If spawn them as pristine, apart from a pc mod, that's the most persistence you can give them .
