If i remember it correctly this game has 2 demo. The first one is old demo version around a year old. And the second one is the newer release called prologue. The kriegsfront tactics prologue was basically the extended demo, or the newer demo version. It has a little bit of the story and they also added mech customization. So yeah, play the prologue version. it was the newer built of the demo. I don't know why they still keep the old demo. And named the new demo, prologue.
Yeah, I remembered when listening back to it like....wait, I forgot the super artsy one. Oh well 🤷. It sucks how much of a dust fart that one wound up as. It looked cool until it just didn't do anything.
so in the discussion tab on the steam page theres this post with is worrying: The Seraph of Tomorrow Jul 21 @ 6:34am SBI involved? Demo vs Prologue Anyone tracking on this, given the out of place changes since the earlier demo? This polished version of the earlier demo changes a few things about the level design, and makes the intro mission completely railroaded. Though they also swapped some of the earlier characters out. As an example Charlie went from some old war vet, to some ethnically swapped Irish pyromaniac stereotype with awful hair while Bravo got race swamped from some young Asian guy with white hair to a black guy who in his description is a black rights advocate for marginalized communities with some absurd looking comb-over dreads. Sweet Baby Inc involved? Maybe, either way it's obvious the new team is inserting stereotypes and modern politics into the game where it does not belong. Aside from that, the maps are smaller in terms of how many spaces you can move around than the previous demo that had a lot more freedom of movement. Which could be a pro or a con to some people. Though either way, the new demo / prologue (same thing) has made some weird new design choices. Last edited by The Seraph of Tomorrow; Jul 21 @ 6:36am
Sweet baby inc? The devs are Indonesians which are known to be uber conservative and take no shit from anyone. Probably just changes to fit with the VAs that they got bcs the Prologue has full voice.
I don't believe they are. First thing first, they are Indonesian devs and Indonesians tends to hate woke stuffs because of their strong religious background. The change in characters seems to indicate that they want to make the design fit with their archetype.

This is the demo, there's a prologue released after this one, that one shows stories, customization and exploration outside of this combat
I liked the demo and the prologue. This has got some potential!
Yeah it doesn't look close to finished, so I didn't bring it up yet.
Was just looking at it a few days ago.
Ah but remember Coffee! Front Mission had Left Alive which, happened...

They haven't shown any of the story yet, just showcasing various pilots. I'll put on my paranoia goggles once we have something to actually read.
