- In this video, I take a look at the 1982 TDK AD-X, a quite rare and sought-after cassette which used to be TDK's very best Type I tape. The song used is from the RUclips Audio Library. I hope you like it. Thanks for watching

I learn something new on your channel most every time! I am knowledgeable about the TDK Type II and IV, but this was a refreshing intro to their Type I offerings. Thanks!
I got a used 1986 AD-X90 from a thrift store earlier this year, looked in great condition. Recorded onto it = sounded amazing!
There was even a 1985 or 1986 TDK AD-X floating around. I used to have the AD-X since I was a kid. AD-X was originally OD. It was also available in the US during 1986.
thx so much bro!!
TDK continued the AD-X in Japan well into the 90’s, but only in Japan. I have 2 1995 AD-X 54 released for the Japanese market, one sealed and one used. I also have a 2pk of the 1982 AD-X Japanese version sealed, and a 1986 AD-X which I bought second hand, and the ones I have used all sound amazing!
The big hubs on the AD-X 46 remind me of the similarly big and beautiful hole-filled hubs on the Sony HF-ES 46.
A well done video young sir. I enjoyed it very much. 😎👍
Thank you :)
Make sure to also check out my other cassette videos if you haven't already
I also have a 10 pack of TSK AD-X tapes from 1985 brand new 90 minutes paid 2.99 at Good will
Love tape
That makes two of us
I'm still trying to figure out how come the prices for AD-X's and Maxell XLI-S's are so ridiculous on eBay. Yes, they're both really good tapes, but there's nothing precious about them. I mean, they're still Type I's, albeit really good Type I's. They're good, but not 80-bucks good, and that seems to be the general asking price for most of them I've seen.
Those big hubs were probably for either the European or Japanese markets; we never got those in the States.
I hear highs dies a little comparing to a source. I got aiwa 660 and 770, ADF-Series. There u can no hear a differences.
Nice video!
Raining clovers when the day is o'er
Ignited forests full of torment
Carcasses in line for execution
Kilimanjaro disagrees with what he sees
Renegade, Retrograde, Gatorade
Orifices we fill with superfices
Leap through the hay bale and weep
Leviate through the skies and deviate
Enormous norms, heh, be ignoramous
Death to those come out of the sheath
-This is what I feel.
