Great video. Congrats on 500 subs (502 now, with my subscription).
Just get the vids done when you get time and it's convenient.

It wasn't TDK's last stand yet, CDing 2 (chrome class) had 4 more iterations:
    a 1999 one - CD2-**T (** is time lenght of tape),
    a 2000-2002 one - CD2-**L,
    a 2002-2005 one - CD2-**U,
and Imation's imitaion of CD2-**R from 2007-2010 (the difference between this tape and Imation one are in logo (a 1998 has TDK logo only and a 2007-2010 one has "Life in Record" tagline), metal shielding (i mean lack of it in Imation one), lack of other tape lenghts (Imation made in 60, 74, 90 and 120 minutes only)).

You're right, but by then, the writing was on the wall already. CDs overtook vinyl in the late 80s and cassettes in the early 90s, so by this time, cassette sales were steadily declining. Thus, you could somewhat say that this whole lineup of "for CD" tapes, from the mid- to late 90s until the 2010s all served as part of TDK's "last stand"
