NVM This is quite a coincidence, considering that Jim wouldn't have any reason to steal a bible from the hotel. On the other hand Job surely needs a bible for the communication cypher with Max based on bible quotes. So it is the mere coincidence, that the bible is exactly from the hotel Jim lived in and he probably took it with him. Together with the fact that he surprisingly survived it is a strong indication of Jim being the traitor.
Idk why, but watching this movie the plot and which character was which was soooo confusing and it's still not much better after this. Lol. The whole twist at the end I couldn't keep track of who was who except for ethan.
I don't get when Max says to Ethan "Job was not known to quote scripture" but later, Jim Phelps says "Thou shalt not covet another man's wife". This means that Job does quote scripture, so did he need the bible to quote scripture which made Hunt find out he was the bad guy, even when Max said he doesn't usually quote scripture?
This was an awesome movie but Jim Phelps in the 60s and 70s series would never betray over money. They took down syndicates for 8 mill, 5 mill like it was nothing. And it was never about them getting rich.
What confuses me: hunt is looking for former IMF people to help him, and Franz Krieger joins in; who is just by coincident(?) a member of the mole team. I mean why? How? And the why doesnt he (Franz Krieger) kill them all like in the fire truck going back or do something else together with Jim Phelps instead of Phelps revealing himself to have survived.
He(hunt) chooses Franz kriegar becoz clarie suggests him. Franz kriegar haven't killed them in truck becoz they want hunt to make deal with max and take money from her.
Watched this for the first time last week for my film class and had to write a review on it. I was not a fan. The movie was incredible boring, and the plot was so convoluted.
yep.. i have all 6 movies ready to watch. this one was not a good start. no wonder i never saw it in the 90s. it was never talked about besides the wire hanging part. usually spoofed.
This movie had a good story but the way it was presented was very confusing, so that is why it didn’t do so good at first. Btw, did Claire die in the end of the movie?
I was confused with the names so I was totally confused in the movie. Thanks a lot buddy
You explained this movie better in 3 minutes then the movie did in 2 hours lol
maybe i'm stupid but this movie confusing as fuck, and i wasn't even high!
Bro that old dude shooting the chick for no reason and then just leaving Tom cruise alive. Was so stupid I though I missed a plot point.
This is the first movie that I ever had on a Vcd. Watched it again about an hour back. I AM STILL CONFUSED! Lmao.
Same
I don't understand, how did Ethan understand Phelps was the mole again? Didn't get how the bible helped him find out.
because phelps said he stayed at the stake hotel and that’s where the bible came from
idapro92 huh, how does thst mean he’s the bad guy though
