@@hareydene The fuel pipes are not included in the three Technic sets, you need to buy them in addition. I have bought my pipes (=soft axles) and the red beams for the tower upgrade from bricklink.
Sadly Michael Collins passed away at age 90 on april 28th. All thoughts go to the bereaved. He was truly a nice person, unlike many astronauts of that era he wasn't selfish or vain. Really a sad day for all space exploration. R.I.P.
Mission accomplished. Took me roughly 7 days and it is EPIC. I have not the slightest idea how you developed this monster, how much thinking and work went into this. Are you an engineer? Anyway, the instructions are crystal clear. I had no issues whatsoever. I can highly recommend this MOC. Thank you!
@@bonz...1366 All parts come from sets 42055, 42082, and 42098, except for string for crane. The first 2 sets are no longer sold by LEGO, and 42098 might have been recently discontinued. I paid about 600-650 US dollars in total, going back to 2017. I'm guessing it would be significantly more now to buy these old sets from third parties. Perhaps BrickLink has them for sale.
@@JPMadden Took a week off from work, began at 7am and kept building until 8 to 9 pm with some breaks in between of course. Man my back was hurting like crazy. Sitting on the floor for that long was kind of an adventure I must say.
My next build. I have all the pieces according to the list. Bought big red second hand, skipped the bucket wheel due to 2nd hand price and acquired the needed pieces from that set. Just need to finish the stratos project and this will be next. Really looking forward to this huge build!!!!
When I finish this build, I'm going to add lighting to it. Whether or not this is historically correct, I will have one blinking red light at the top of the crane, 4 red lights at the 4 corners of the top of the gantry, 4 or 5 white spot lights shining from the gantry toward the rocket, each will be a white LED light inside of a clear 1X1 circular plate with a black cylinder part attached to direct the light, and the clear parts will be painted black as to only allow the light to come out as like a spot light. The underside of the launch pad/crawler will be lit with several blue lights. Anyway, that is my plan.
I built this earlier this year. All parts come from sets 42055, 42082, and 42098. Only complaint is how long it took! Fantastic MOC. Instructions very cheap at 25 euros. Used size 10 cotton thread for the crane. Hardest part is tying the string to the elevator inside the tower, had to use 2 pairs of pliers, probably too much or too little tension, elevator doesn't work well.
Thanks! :) Concerning the elevator: It should work quite smoothly ruclips.net/video/pB5tYQBT_tY/видео.html You have to check that there is not too much tension, better too less than too much... ;)
Great design. It looks amazing. I discovered it just in time to get the 3 boxes because they are EOL. 42055 used without box and the other 2 with a discount in a local store. Now I have to buy te buildings plans and I can start... ;)
Fantastic build. I’ve wanted to do this but make it more like the real thing. The crawler and mobile launch pad are 2 separate units. The crawler sets the mobile launch pad on pillars and drives out from under it for the launch of the rocket.

Just bought the instructions I will be ordering parts very soon! Thank you for creating such an awesome build I wonder if you ever considered building the launch tower for The Shuttle Adventure set since they're the same 1/110th scale
I considered building a launch tower for the 10283 Space Shuttle, but unfortunatelly it is not 1:110 scale, and has no booster/tank... ;( so I have to wait for the next Lego Space Shuttle modell...
@@janotechnic5045 check out lego set 10231 its the older 1/110th scale shuttle with boosters and fuel tank! It's rather expensive on the secondary market since it's retired but its an awesome set. Any idea where I can get these sets you have used? I’ve seen Lego has retired two of the sets. For the crawler was it two of the bucket wheel excavator sets?
I guess looking for used sets is currently the cheapest option. Or buying only the needed parts at bricklink. It was only used one BWE set, but the parts were not only used in the crawler.
