7 Technicians Every Thai Boxer Should Study | Muay Thai

- Some of the best "muay fimeu" or "muay classic" style fighters, or as I like to call them, "technicians" or technical fighters.
A technician is a master of all weapons. He is slick, stylish, adaptable, and can win a fight in many different ways, depending on the intentions and style of his opponent.
His movement is well-balanced and graceful in execution. He possesses a great muay Thai brain and razor-sharp vision which keeps him one step ahead of his opponent.
Above all else, he has a supreme confidence in everything he does in the ring.
This list features the following fighters:
Chatchai Paiseetong
Namkabuan Nongkeepahuyuth
Saenchai
Hippy Singmanee
Boonlai Sor Thanikul
Samart Payakaroon
Karuhat Sor Supawan
This is not an exhaustive list! It is by no means my top 7 although that's the way it seems to have been received. While these fighters are certainly some of the best ever, there are several more names that should be included in a comprehensive list. I'll try to make another video to go along with this shortly.

Saenchai has been well documented on his awesomeness and Samart is vicious as they come. The one fighter who opened my eyes on the list was Chatchai Paiseetong. He truly epitomizes the idea of "hit and not get hit". His reflexes and defense are impeccable. Great video.
agreed. everyone have own full potential waiting to be developed.
A SUGGESTION: YOU SHOULD MAKE VIDEOS ON FIGHTS OF THE YEAR DURING THE GOLDEN ERA! LOVE YOUR WORK
Thank you for your content bro. I found this channel recently, and it has been helpful and informative.
this whole clip that starts at 1:27 and ends with the head kick is just insane. Such beautiful movement
Chatchai was pure skill, thanks for leading me on to him, great video, keep up the good work
Always thought Saenchai was a gimmick, but with these edits his clinch into throws are god tier. Good video all around and subbed.
Saenchai a gimmick WTF. . You know jack shit. .
A gimmick ahahahaahahahahah
Perhaps your comment has been misinterpreted by others. But further credit focus "is" due of his ingenuity of Saenchai with his skill set being a product (plus a signature) from "Jockey gym" ,which has has been over shadowed by the growth of his finesse & flair with of his fan base popularity globally.
Muay Thai is magical
From thailand
Hippy Singmanee is one of the best angle fighters i've ever seen
Rest in peace namkabuan
Muay Thai schooler makes some of the best muay thai videos for years thanks Muay Thai schooler.
One of my favourite is also oley
It's hundreds of great boxers but the genius of samart payakaroon is hard to miss..
where is namsaknoi? 😲 he ws the greatest of all time. dude
Chatchai !!
What a dominance of the outside game, what balance
I am on awe ,
Boonlai has a killer jab!
Good choices. I would have picked Somrak instead of Hippy though. But that's just my own opinion.
Study all you want, you might be a great tradesman, but never an artist, never be like them. Some people are just born special.
😂😂😂 yeah cause people wanna listen to mark from RUclips
Have you ever trained bro ?
Those tip (push kick) are a really good rhythm killer
Fun fact: Saenchai mastered the secret techniques from all the grandpas in this video.
personal favorite is karuhat, he was always so much smaller
Look at ref’s reaction at 3:13. Lol
You can tell he fought in his past.
6:30
4:50 are you fucking kidding me, that was awesome
Why dielsenoi not here ? The most powerful muay khao in history...
This video is about Muay Femur fighters, not about Muay Khao
Yeah bro i did not see it was only about femur fighters... Sry !!
awesome video!
Very Good Techniques !!!!!!!
🤙💪👌
👏👏👏👏👏
Some seriously hard men in those clips.
The hippy dude is a beast!
One of the best ever , if not the best .
great combination, must to save and replay~
sad to not see namsaknoi on the list :( awesome video though!
Miss Somrak too !
Namsaknoi and Somrak are already well known. I think the intention was to highlight some lesser known but equally technical fighters.
EDIT: Yea never mind, Saenchai is on there lmao.
xD
yeah theres a few well known fighters to the more hardcore muay thai enthusiasts. very good list though! it would be very hard to pick a fighter in there to replace with nasaknoi or somrak... all greats of the art
Namsaknoi was the first muay thai fighter I ever watched... A hightlight reel back when he became a trainer for Rawai I believe.
Oley kietoneway ?
Thank you for clip
Do a vid about new era
Muay femue fighter
They really love teeps. Man. Teeps are devastating.
All legend muaythai
thankss from France

Karuhat is the fking boss
Very nice
Gawd. Those kicks to the head...
I was hoping Mathee Jadeepitak would make into the top 7.
Pure beauty
why would they shake a knocked out persons head like that 2:08 0_0
2:12 I'm pretty sure that's not protocol for dealing with someone unconscious with brain trauma.
Whts that misic?. From 👌
Where is Ramon The Diamond Dekkers?????
5:45 this is why you keep your hands up. don't know how a pro muay thai fighter doesn't know this
The femurs start getting in your head with their variety of strikes so their opponents usually start becoming more aggressive trying to get some points back, inevitably leading to them dropping their hands subconsciously. Fighting is hugely mental.
Lerdsilla is the best
What about Namsaknoi?
nice
Ramon deckker
Daymn, they use the teep so much! And hardly kick the opponents front leg as this is probably useless. Now I got to start putting more emphasis on my teeps and body KICKS. They never get tired from kicking lol, where as 3-4 I feel like that’s enough kicking cos it’s tiring af hahha smh
Eat rice and 30% meat and 70% vegetables keep you lean like an Asian.
@@chickendinner5572
An improper diet leads to malnutrition and shortness of stature. South Koreans are 2 to 3 inches taller than North Koreans. That difference in stature took only 60 years. Leanness is found in athletes from all parts of the world with many different diets. Once weight isn't an issue, neither is leanness. World heavyweight boxing champs Ruiz Jr and Tyson Fury are both fat fuckers.
@@markcynic808 yeah no shit, the reason South East Asians have this type of diet is because there is lack of animal farms and abundant in edible plants. Sure we are small and short in stature, but we don't require a lot of calories to fuel our bodies. Unlike the western world, full of fat fucks. I'm SEA living in the US and we still have almost the same diet as our counter parts that live on the other side of the world.
kicking the opponent front leg is another good technique, low kicks can knock out also. I personally like to destroy the thighs as it is more merciful. power side teeps are my favourites and the opponents will think thrice before advancing senselessly. Nothing is useless, all are useful. only those who does not know how or when or where or what, and also use as rymthm breakers are super important.
train and gain superb balance and do multiple subsequent moves before, during and after each move. one concept is like the spear, but can switch stances also. being a blade sabre or swords or whip helps in completing the styles also.
lol 3:24 is so great
So cute lol
I love Song
ดูไว้ ฝรั่ง พวกนี้ระดับตำนาน
Lol the fuck they shaking his head like that. Being knocked out isn't the same as being asleep Yano ha
😍Muay💓Thai🔥
Muay Thai Teacher .........
wait wtf just happened at 2:10? I did not see any contact being made with the leg to the head, why did the guy KO?
Stop taking those pink pills with smileys on.
um ok....? i am looking for serious answers that actually make sense. thx everyone ;)
Alma Sakic Dont talk like a jew,
LOL
The footage is too grainy and was captured at a low frame rate (even at quarter speed), so you aren't seeing what happened clearly. The only way to tell the moment of impact is by watching the opponent. At first he seems to have ducked the kick successfully, but then as the foot arcs downward you see his body jerk and his front shoulder spasms.
Oley Kiatoneway
bruh.... Chatchai endurance.... wth, clearly using armament haki should be illegal in this reality
hippy singmanee
Where’s Buakaw??????
Just show about classic boxers 80’s 90’s
buakaw issa brawler but he wasnt that technical
Ramona deckker very best
music is awful but good clips
Samart fight like mohamad ali
มวยในตำนาน
🙏🌀💙☮️
Those knees and elbows should wear gloves too
The gloves are to protect your hands, not the other fighter. Elbows and knees are a lot more solid than the small bones in your hand, no protection required.
@@avaferret jeez i knew that. I was just kidding 😂😂
chatchai paiseetong
Oley should have been on here
Did you mean techniques Scholar?

They learn how to delve into ppl's heart, it is called YOMI
You forget about buakaw my friend 😊
I agree!!! Baukaw's dedication to training IS what an up & comer shld aim for. Not to mention his techniques ARE textbook. Also Ramon Dekker. Good person, amazing fighter. Outstanding achievements. RIP My friend. Thank you for the video
Maza! Thats an accusation about Dekkers. That has NEVER been confirmed. Rarely even brought up. Yes, young & in good shape, but so are a lot of ppl who pass that way. We dont know, so why wld we judge? Great fighter period.
Most Thai boxers and teachers would say Buakaw is not a very good Muay Thai boxer. They do respect his hard work and dedication, He has strong body and strong kick but he lack of technic, it would be hard for him to fight against another thai boxers.
Marc Sangsanga He fights great against other Thai fighters
Maze! Rich Piana Also died of a heart attack recently and he was either 45 or 46 a lot of legends that died young have possibly been on it
Recorded on a microwave
no namsaknoi? dislike
