The fact that you added in each move being applied during a real time spar made this video so much better. It's much easier to learn a move when you see it being applied in a practical situation. Thank you
@@hungkiet7535 He broke my jaw in sparring, he looks soft but he’s the Thai Mike Tyson, (only he never beat up old ladies in an elevator like Mike Tyson actually did dozens of times when he was a teenager oh I’m sorry I meant hundreds of times) he will close the distance and knock jeff, me, anyone here out, jeff could tap him in two minutes though, lol
Thanks man!! Buakaw is easily my favorite thai fighter of all time...and has some of the coolest and most effective technics when he was in his prime. His leg kicks...his left hook > rear kick fluidity...so on. I still rewatch his fights often. Btw thanks for a video like this! And thanks for taking my recommendation seriously. THis will indeed help me with my own muay thai training. Last trained on thursday in fact; had three sparring matches that day, 2 matches against my coach 1 against my primary sparring partner. Studying these will no doubt help since Ive already studied buakaw on my own..i like outside opinions.
DAMN IT! I freaking love your content! Super practical, good editing, fight proven, what else do you want? I love learning from as many MMA practitioners as possible. I was wondering if you had any advice for me on head kick setups?
Chacho Garsha - if you know how to do a Lead Superman punch you can use that to set up a switch kick , take a step outside with your lead leg to avoid a the hands
So after throw the superman right I land on my left foot, then place my right foot on the outside of their left foot (if they are an orthodox fighter) to create the angle and finish with the left head kick?
Hey Chacho, I have a few high kick set ups I like to use, some of my favourite ones were shown in the video "tactics used by TJ Dillashaw" ! Check that out if you have not already. Also the set up recommended by The Chosen One also sounds like it is worth trying!
I rarely comment but i feel the need to say that your channel is so good! I love how you respond to most comments, even new comments on older videos, and like mostly everyone (if not everyone's) comment. Muay Thai is beautiful and thanks to it I found this channel. Keep doing what you're doing and i'm sure your channel will grow to fight tip's number if not more!

One of the best martial arts channels on RUclips hands down. The way of the peaceful warrior... The warriors journey begins with inner peace. Only inner peace can cultivate outer peace. The warriors path is not to lead others to war... but to lead by example. Thank you for leading by example.
I'm a beginner in Muay Thai, and I did the whole "catch leg, release, punch and then high kick" thing in sparring, *before* seeing this video. Goes to show it's easy to pull off and very intuitive.
Thanks for making this video . You are truly insightful and informative . As I am Thai , Buakaw is my hero and I feel so honored that his techniques are analyzed and practised around the world . I wish you will even more become successful in future . ( Hugged from Thailand )
Sou brasileiro, luto Muay Thai e Kickboxing à 20 anos, seus vídeos são fantásticos. Estou treinando essas técnicas e estão dando muito certo. Obrigado, sou seu fã. Abraços.!
A version of tactic number 1, which I learnt from an instructor at Phuket Tiger Muay Thai, when you grab the leg (mostly you would grab with one hand from a tip/front kick), you then pull them forward hard with the same hand and elbow them with the same arm that you grabbed them with rather than punch with the opposite arm. Perhaps harder to execute, but also can be more difficult for them to block or read, and very powerful.
phenomenal job on that video. i really liked it! i grew up with buakaw fights and im glad you did this video/analysis. when i saw the sparring footage @6:48 it instantly reminded me of buakaw vs mike zambidis 😄 keep up the great work 👊🏻😎
Seen a few of these vids covering specific fighters favoured tactic's or method's, adding all of them to my compiled martial arts training playlist, great vids, very useful, certainly impressed :)
@@MMAShredded I can link that playlist to you if you want, but there's not much point as I keep it set to public. I know like 5 realistic ways of getting out of leg grabs. 1) If against a grab with a lead leg front kick, you bend your leg, you pull it in, you then grab them by the neck as if you will knee them, you twist your leg to go inside of their lead knee and push your shin down 2) pull back your leg leaning forwards without moving ground, keep your back foot planted in the same place, twist your caught foot to put your heal against the hip bone and push out hard 3) grabbed with the same side hand, stick your closest hand out towards their eyes, lean towards them and snap your leg back, if it has been grabbed from a front kick you will need to twist your hip 4) pull your leg in and hit them 5) jump spin and try to kick them, even if you don't hit them you may break free. I would love to see my man's approach to a leg grab defence. By the way, number 6) is what you will find in 'No Retreat No Surrender', i.e. a flip kick Bruce Lee style.
Awesome vid....Learning from the tactics of the elite nak muay can be an excellent way to improve one's own tactics and skill in Muay Thai, to be sure. I use the tactic 6.D in a different way: I use my elbow to catch the bicep, so that I can take his punches out of the the equation.
