If you have a chance to see them live, don't miss it. But be ready to have your face blown off--they go really hard.
Nemophila has always had this lineup, from their very beginning: Mayu (vo), Saki (gt), Hazuki (gt), Haraguchi-san (ba), and Tamu (dr). Brilliant in the studio...absolutely magical live.
While the J-rock/metal bands that have broken out globally tend to be some of the very best, there's a LOT of quality right down to the local level (I live in Japan...I see a lot of bands here). Music education in Japan is supported very well, and it shows.

Yes, the songs are different. And, that is mainly because they are all pros. They can play whatever genre. The drummer is a very well known session drummer that has participated in lots of recordings for lots of artists. Of course, in this band they have seven string guitars and five string bass, drop D tuned, so expect it to be at least a bit heavy or metal. But the beautiful Adabana shows their range. It is soft and heavy.

In Japan they've a unofficial rule, when you do something you do it perfect or not doing it. It's like starwars do or do not their is no try. Japonese music Band make good songs only for this reason.

In the music industry in Japan, everyone pretty much knows everyone. So once a band you joined isn't successful chances are you move on to another band or be a session or touring musician for a particular act until you latch on to something. Plus, the talent agency you're attached to help you land jobs.
If you like screams you have to react To Hanabie another japanese band.
