    £300+ !!! A-bit pricey but a great idea , for that money the screws should be captivated and nice wrench to go with it, perhaps the big boys can be all little more competitive.

    This is actually a cool idea. Have one type of bounce in Summer and different Bounce in the Winter.. Would not change during a round.. Basically decide based of condition of course. If course is wet go with Wider Bounce.

    • @dabdias
      @dabdias Год назад +1

      It would be cheaper or about the same price to buy two wedges 😀. The summer wedge and the winter wedge!

  • @chrisengland1
    @chrisengland1 Год назад +6

    Ok now I’ve seen price I’d rather buy 2 separate bounce wedges of same loft especially with the awkward screws. Also as I replace wedges each year they need a better price point I think

    The risks of losing those screws are greater than the benefits if an adjustable bounce-especially with the cost of this single club.

    Note to Vega: captive screws on each backpiece wouldn't be a bad idea on a £300 club 👍

    This is a very intriguing concept here James!!!!!!! I really like the idea of being able to change my wedges myself verses having different wedges for different playing condition. Could be a much better option and cheaper it seems.

    Just a little pricey for me. But really makes good sense. PS you were dialed in.

    Good idea as I have duplicate clubs with different bounces as 🇬🇧 can be wet or hard & dry 👏 When I play safe S grind 10 degree bounce works everywhere

    Much prefer to buy good used wedges, keep them in the car and pull out the one(s) that seem(s) to best fit the course conditions. A good "one size fits all" approach is to use wedges with a wider sole and less bounce angle, this allows for playing in most types of lies and sand conditions.

    I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! When you get to a level of play, you know that different conditions are better with different sole types, being able to change your wedges day by day is SO MUCH better than having to have multiple wedges

    Honestly I think screws needs redesign. Spare one will not last long and handling loose screws will be always fiddly. Simple solution are captive screws and should be implemented before clubs left prototype stage.

    I'd be concerned that things will get stuck in between the weight and the back of the face where it screws in. Or that it would create friction or snags and possibly twist the face a little bit. Not sure how I feel about this.

    Very, very cool, although I thought the idea behind a set of wedges was to have various bounces within the wedges for various situations all the time. I'm no expert at all, but am I right, or am I missing something?

    Brilliant idea but then again once the grooves wear away and you lose spin etc it's destined for the bin like any other wedge. Now if only someone came up with the idea of a replacement face for your wedges ?!?! 😉😁

    At £300 its should be the best wedge you have ever seen. Or buy a couple of wedges with differing lofts and bounce to give options on the course rather than wishing you'd chosen differently before the round. (i.e. its not versatile mid round)

    Just some feedback: Yours has been one of my favorite RUclips channels out of the creators. Lately I have noticed myself not as interested in watching the videos to completion. I think it has to do with the videos lacking the same creativity and matchplay from previous videos. When you have matchplay with different opponents and creative videos it keeps the viewers attention. Pete F does a masterful job with this. Keep up the great work. Always important I feel to get feedback

    James, I enjoy what you do and more importantly how well you do it, but please come back to reality here. These wedges are $343 each. I know that the majority of golfers are smarter than that to pay that much for one club, prices this high are insane! Please I beg you no more!

    • @Jacob-ed1bl

      🤣, So just because you can't afford it or are willing to pay for it, everyone else should feel the same way or isn't interested, makes logical sense 🤣. I just spent $970.00 on a driver, and it was worth it to me.
