Watching Kristen gives me such joy! You can only experience a first time watch once. Watching other people react and seeing that excitement and joy for the first time is the closest to getting that feeling back. Also Kristen gets into it so love her commentary. Can't wait to see the rest.

Something I wish they went full send into was Tony's alcoholism. We get bits and pieces here and there, and I know they cut out scenes that went more into it, but I just wish we got more of that struggle. It's always been a big part of Tony's character in the comics and with RDJ's past, I feel like he would've portrayed it well
His past is probably the reason they didn't delve into it more.

So, you probably missed it as i and many others did, but Stan Lee does make a cameo in this - as Larry King at the beginning of the movie. It's so quick and cleverly done with the janky cam that it's so unnoticeable ~

The man with the eye patch is Nick Fury. If you recall in the end credit scene in Iron Man 1 he introduces himself as the Director of SHIELD. Natasha is Black Widow, an operative of SHIELD answering directly and exclusively to Fury. Coulson is Fury's right hand man.
Natasha wasnt always in shield. she was working for enemy and trained in red room. she was recruited by shield then

In the comics Iron Man is known as Stark's bodyguard. I think RDJ ad-libbed the line about "I am Iron Man."
Tony has a 10 year character arc. It's a fun ride.
Others have already named Black Widow, Nick Fury, and War Machine. The next movies are Thor then Captain America: First Avenger. Enjoy.

There are 118 elements on the periodic table, but it is theorized that there are a lot more. One must understand that out knowledge is passed down by scrutiny and bias.
At the bit where you said it looked like Hammer was wearing self-tanner, he was. It was a choice by his actor, Sam Rockwell, who said he thought Hammer seemed like the type of guy who would have it.
How come nobody is watching this with Pino (besides us 🙄)? I know everyone has seen these already but I’d still sit and watch with her and not spoil anything. They’re enjoyable even on rewatch.
I’ve been a big Marvel and DC comics fan my whole life and I would still not sit through the entire MCU again 😅
As far as Pino’s question: I think ALMOST any non-violent interaction between the hero and villain plays well, so yes, I could’ve used a bit more too.
Iron Man 2 gets a bad rap but it’s a fun movie. Thanks for the reaction. On to the next.

This is such a good movie. And I really love your reaction to this movie. And I really like all of the actors in this movie like Robert Downey Jr.Gwewrh Paltrow and Don Cheadle.This is one of the best Iron Man movies that I have seen and it is a lot of fun watching movies with you. And this movie was first released 13 years ago in theaters.

I have loved Marvel all my life, I learned to read at age 5 because I wanted to be able to read the comics my older cousin had gifted to me directly. That being said, I never liked Iron Man on his own, when he showed up in the other series it was ok. Stan Lee developed the Iron Man character on a dare, he was challenged to make a hero that was hateful but people still loved. In the comics it was made clear that Tony was a narcissistic A-hole, a functioning alcoholic (hinted at in the movies). Robert Downey Jr. brought this character to life and made me love him, the Marvel cineverse would not exist without him.
Nick Fury is essentially CEO of SHIELD. He's the head honcho there, calling all the shots.
SHIELD does a ton of stuff in between each movie (and during the movies) and there's even an Agents of SHIELD TV show on Disney+ where they follow a bunch of SHIELD Agents and you get to see what they get up to day-to-day.
They doo all sorts of things like investigate other super villains not from the MCU movies; they investigate alien phenomenon that occurs around the world. They also have a major crossover with the second Captain America movie (which features SHIELD a lot).
Actually in Winter Soldier movie you'll see a bunch of stuff that Nick Fury does too.
Also Captain Marvel has a bunch of stuff they do as well.
So keep watching and you'll see what they all do. :)

The only thing I wanted to bring up is all the after credit scenes you are missing. All of the MCU movies have at least one some have 2 after credits scenes.

I wouldn’t be surprised the office they filmed Howard Stark in is actually Walt Disney’s actual office whether in Anaheim, CA or Orlando, FL I can’t tell. I’ll Google it for you.
You'll find that "Tony's" homes and "The Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters" have a lot in common and probably are uninsurable. Dare we dream that the "Baxter Building" is the next uninsurable structure in the MCU?
Marvel has been smart so far. Pay good money for great actors to bring better depth to legendary comic characters. Robert Downey Jr. has been to hell and back as a child actor and addiction survivor...good to see him rise out of it all.

Kirsten, that is not Larry King. That is Stan Lee the co-creator of these comic characters. He makes cameos in every film, &some films that aren't Marvel like The Princess Diaries film among other films of Kevin Smith. It became a game like the Hitchcock films where he made cameos in hiss own films. So difinetly look for him in these Marvel films.

To be honest I would have came out with Black Widow in 2010 as a way to introduce Natasha Character and gave Scarlett Johansson’s character a Stronger Showing then Marvel originally went about it. Iron Man 2 never should’ve come out. It was just a filler to tie us over until Captain America: The First Avenger came out in 2011. Definitely watch Thor 2011 first then Captain America.

Marvel and DC are entirely different studios, like Coke vs Pepsi, Nintendo vs Playstation vs Xbox (exclusive games), or Apple vs Microsoft vs Samsung. There's never crossover except for very specific comic book "events" when they decided to do that I think in the 90s.
Marvel are more "humane" in how they are made, while DC is more underwear-on-the-outside/hands-on-the-waist stereotypical heroes.
Both are known to copy ideas from each other though. That will take a Reddit post or something to explain.

On my first viewing of IRON MAN 2 I had problems with the pacing being too slow, what with him wallowing in self pity, also it felt... stuffed again as though there were too many Story layers, how ever on subsequent viewings Ive come to like it more especially the clever twists at the end, also an epic finale, I thought.
