i'm so glad Blizz got away from the Warcraft-style graphics in D3 and back to realistic, western-style for D4. I couldn't ask for better graphics in D4.
Yet im over here sick of my Skeleton Minions and most specially my Golem... they not only look ugly but they look ugly AND out of place since theyre basically D3 styled assets placed on D4.
@@vitorvena I also noticed an odd animation effect about skeletons in D4, it feels to me as if they are constantly lagging or something. Not sure if it's on purpose or not though. They should rework them in a more creepy way IMO.
There is so many assets that are completely same as in D3 just with better graphics (just goes to show you don't mind "cartoony" you just mind the fact colors were not washed out...). Personally I find it idiotic people like you call something "cartoony" just because it has colors rather then having a shitty grey filter over everything like we do in D4.....
You're very easily impressed. The angel of death has no real powers, evidently, and thus he lost to a meat puppet with a blade, sadly. Very predictable and very cliché and anticlimactic. Anyway, everyone will now live forever and no one can die, not even by decapitation :D I would love to see how that plays out and how you would like it to live eternity in a basket of a guillotine :p I wonder how eternal life would work of your head exploded. Would you still be able to have thoughts about that predicament of not being able to ever die no matter what happens to you? :p Now, that's epic :)
I've seen several ppl talking about how our wanderer in D4 is more powerful than our nephalim in D3. Gameplay wise I would agree, but looking at lore it's no contest. We beat a weakened Lilith in D4, but we beat Diablo powered up with his brothers' souls in D3, as well as an amped up Malthael.
Eternal conflict will be eternal until all will just stop participating in it. All the times somone thought he can end it, it was his ego that maked it worse.
I still think that she is not really that bad, she wants to protect her "children". It will be interresting to see where they took the story from now on.
But there were only like 5 or 6 cutscene in the whole game, that's why they could push the graphics of each of them, I hear diablo 4 has a lot of cutscenes
there is no such thing as the "Return" of Malthael. As the Aspect of Wisdom, he never set foot on Sanctuary. So when he abandoned the counsil, high heavens and his aspect of Wisdom, he adopted the Aspect of Death and went to Sanctuary for the first and last time.
You are right and I cannot argue against that, but when I spoke of his “return”, it’s more about the fact that he was hiding for a long time and that he just decided to show himself once again.
From what I remember (and understand) a lot, like millions probably, of humans were destroyed by Malthael's army of Reapers and their souls were either transformed into Reapers themself or trapped into the black soulstone to empower Malthael. And the moment Malthael and the black soulstone were destroyed, the souls were all freed, so they could rest in peace, but a good percentage of humans were annihilated in Sanctuary during his crusade. That is why I think the mood is so low where you interact with NPC in Diablo 4...
What a mess of a story. I thought before the expansion the already sounded like the bible, with giant lists of names and battles that were just listed instead of shown and nothing anyone could ever care about or remember except for a couple of nerds who use the lists to build an actual story in their heads, one that never happened outside of your imagination and was never part of the game. All of Diablo 3 can be recapped in one sentence: Leah is Diablo because Adria fucked him to get pregnant with a vessel for him because she wanted a part of his power, which history tells us always ends in more betrayal and death. Like I said, the story is basically the bible. Oh, and for the confused nerds who remembered a lot more names and events in D3: lots of characters betrayed a lot of other characters for power, the nexus of the power is in the soulstone, Tyrael is still as useless as always because he could just have destroyed the thing but he's an idiot, as always, evil died, good won, the end. None of the events mattered and none of the characters matter; they're all loot fodder. I do like the Reaper in the opening cutscene though. If the game just ended there it would've been a great short film. But of course, a being with godlike powers can be taken down by humans and Tyrael is once again a useless idiot, so yay, I guess.
Yeah Diablo does have a repetitive structure, but they sort of put themselves in this position from the beginning with the fact that angels and demons cannot really die…

Couldn't agree more with that. I'm also glad that they came back to a darker general theme.

@@wallasplays Either lagging or always running ob much less frames, its like theyre twitching every time they do complex animations...

Thanks for the video, very easy to follow to catchup with D4
That's one hell of an ending.. epic recap.
ya man so crazy ending

@@stylis666 Everything you just said made absolutely no sense, buuut appreciate the entertaining parts of it. Lmao
Thank you for the awesome recap. It was really well done.
Thank you for these kind words.

I would take the side that D3 hero is stronger (for the moment) lore wise. Diablo in the High Heavens was really a powerful foe.
Eternal conflict will be eternal until all will just stop participating in it.
All the times somone thought he can end it, it was his ego that maked it worse.
These are some wise words.
I believe the old intro of 3 and Reaper where better than D4 :)
Well, the intro with Lilith was kind of awesome to be honest. But yeah D3 and Reaper were very well done!
@@wallasplays I am bias, just upgraded to OLED 4K and i could see all the artifacts in the shadows and felt low rez :)

off topic but your accent is so familiar to me. could that be a quebecois accent?
Well it seems that... You have good ears !
I just care about what happened to the humans, were they corrupted?

Except it did matter, the characters matter and yeah it is very heavily drawn from the bible. Thats freaking obvious as fuck and not a revalation.
