- I came to the 'schemes' of Glasgow in Scotland! A scheme is a Scottish phrase for basically a rough area and it certainly lived up to its reputation. We came to Paisley and met some lively characters on the streets before discovering an abandoned area, it was crazy to see. But Scotland isn't just schemes it has it's beauty as well and we of course went there, despite our bad hangovers we ventured into the highlights in hunt for Haggis. Amazing to be back in Scotland! 🏴

I'm surprised these Scottish people couldn't even tell Ben the correct meaning of a "scheme". A scheme simply means a council estate. It doesn't necessarily mean a rough area.
Council estate's are rough areas
Aye a scheme is a housing estate, usually a council one. Doesn't mean rough area, some are some aren't.
@@totebal1409 Coming from the Faifley, the only one I can think of is Parkhall and every house there was bought over in the 80s
@@totebal1409 but how would he know there is council estate's that aren't rough?
He's going by his experience not some data driven opinion
@@seanpadraigobrien1260 All I'm pointing out is that not all council estates are rough areas, you said they are. Maybe you ain't seen enough of them yet, lol.
Just an FYI for those watching who might not get this from the video, Paisley isn't Glasgow. It's the largest town in Scotland. You also wouldn't call the centre of town a "scheme". It's normally the roughest housing estates within towns or cities that are called schemes.
It’s a hundred percent not a scheme, has some of the nicest architecture you’ll see but the bampots calling it a scheme, hanging around drinking in the middle of the day think everywhere they go is a scheme.
The Scottish couple with them should have have them the context that this is not what 98% of the people in that street are like.
I was surprised that the two young Scottish people did not known the difference. I grew up in Wishaw whefe there were two major schemes. Coltness and Pather. Abot 90% of people living in that town came from one or the other.
Glasgow Airport is in Paisley though, just a shithole suburb 😊
Ferguslie Park Gallowhill lovely scenic places to visit
So like "projects" in US speak?
Paisley was once one of the wealthiest places in the UK, at one point almost 90% of all the thread used in the world, was made in paisley. It’s wealth came from textile industry (there’s a famous pattern named after paisley). Just goes to show what happens when you take an industry a whole town relies on away!
I think its more the case that the people who owned the thread making industry were wealthy, but the general population lived in poverty.
Yes my daughter worked in the tartan factory in the 60's not long before it permanently closed down in 1967.

Scotland is a country of contrasts. Great beauty and great ugliness. But what's universal across both aspects of Scotland is the Scottish people, who are some of the most lovely, friendly and funny people you will ever meet.
Couldn't agree more!
@BackpackerBen As a Scouser I found Glasgow a lovely place and the people are Salt of the Earth.
The Schemes are very similar to part's of Liverpool with house's boarded up with Steel shutters to keep the Scrap collectors out.
The people are very similar and definitely friendly and helpful.❤
Everyone says how rough Glasgow and the area is, but you also find the soundest cunts around there. If you ain't a cunt everyone's sound no matter where you go.

He found the most middle-class Glaswegian couple available lol.
And that could of been any council estate in Britain 😂.
My daughter went stelth camping with her pal and pitched a tent on top of the roof of a 18th century church, they used a flat section of the roof covered in lead to get a comfortable spot, unfortunately they didn't realize that this church was still in use and got the fright of their lives when the bells began ringing very early the next morning. They had been using what they thought was a disused chimney pot as a toilet, unfortunately this chimney connected to the ministers changing room and they discovered a fireplace full of human solid waste inside the church. My daughter and hers pal had some explaining to do when the security arrived!
I lived with a Scot from Paisley who had his own house in north Haarlem in the Netherlands 2002.
I was there for 2 years working and it seemed like a holiday every day, even when I worked on construction for a dutch firm. It was always back to our pub for a pint or 10 at the end of the day. Wonderland.
Ferguslie Park (where you were in Paisley) is going through a regeneration phase. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Saracen is nice inside. Rustic, but nice. Scotland is a great country with friendly people. We have our problems like every other country but we don’t let it get us down.
When an area is named after an Asiatic warlord you can expect a degree of Rough.

I grew up in a council estate people would say is rough. I live in a busy city centre now and honestly; life was nicer in the estate!
I think the community on a council estate makes it a lot better (also grew up on one) everyone knows everyone but when you're in a city no one knows each other so they don't care.
I grew up in a middle class town to the north of london and honestly a lot of people were cold, insincere and judgemental. In contrary all I ever hear about people who grew up in estates is that they were like a big family with a community, everyone knows each other and helps each other out. Something I never experienced in the town I grew up in. Community isn't something money can buy!
If you’re going to visit somewhere do your research beforehand and if you have tour guides try and make sure they actually know the area. Making assumptions of a place and its people is never a wise idea. Also Tennents is a lager not a beer, if your guides had even known Glasgow they could have shown you the brewery which is a 10 minute walk from the centre. I think you may have offended a number of Scots with this video, myself being one of them
I'm not Scottish but even I saw through a lot of this and was thinking this is cringey AF. That wasn't a rough estate, it was an empty estate.. The pub didn't do good beer, it sold Tennant's lager. Didn't see anything rough about what we saw so not sure what the point was..
Glasgow is a great city. There are rough places in most cities and towns. Scotland is wonderful, beautiful country, made even better by the friendly people that make it what it is.
We’ll see how friendly it is on Sunday.
Paisley is NOT GLASGOW. STOP tarring my City with these shiteholes.
I wouldn't really call Possilpark rough, so much as poor- the area's been on its arse since the foundry closed in the late 60s and has never been properly reinvested in. It's a hell of a shame but you see similar stories in villages throughout the central belt here. Glad you liked the haggis at least!
There is a lot of history to that part of Glasgow, sadly the industrial history is disappearing without any memory left. The Saracen Steel Plant is now totally demolished without a museum or anything like it in its memory. Sad.
Agree so many schemes in Scotland working class areas are poor inc many Past ex mining villages around parts of Scotland and UK poor WITH working mens clubs now closed down and once were very busy places before the mining strikes ..and then closures and then yon Maggie Thatcher fk , as she messed up Scotlands working class areas.. as many had moved on once jobs became scarce in Scotland
Maggie Thatcher she it was began the poll tax in Scotland before any other part of the UK
And she went against her own words as she had said not one part of UK shall be treated any differently to another this before she then used Scotland for the poll tax and Scotland was used as a Guinnea pig for the UK with this Poll tax ..one yr before any other part of UK .
And her telling working class people if u cant find work in your own region then move away to another part of the UK and look and find work and some like myself did and just were messed about .
Anyhow now check are the many 2nd hand shops nowadays although so many them also closed down and so boarded up windows its way its been sadly . much more poorer areas than not in Scotland i think though many are getting done up better part by part but like many schemes in Glasgow all posh now eh
should be more so all over UK though inc the Capital Edinburgh can do with much more moneys put into housing for working classes .
U wouldnt call possilpark rough what planet u on 😂😂

Paisley is not in Glasgow, it's town on the outskirts of Glasgow.
As someone who grew up in the Rogaland area of Western Norway, Scotland looks so familiar, yet so exotic and foreign at the same time.
Whatever it is. Exotic it is not.
fried mars bars are exotic
I can very much assure you that this area of Scotland most certainly is not exotic. That would be the very last word I'd use to describe that area, as would anyone else who was born and has had the experience of living there!
When I use the word "exotic", what I basically mean is the stereotypical british architecture were the houses mostly are made of bricks, wich is very different from the wooden houses wich I'm used to here in Norway, at the same time, we don't have those type of castles on this side of the North Sea either. Even Danish and Swedish architecture can come of as exotic to me. Despite similar landscapes and climatic conditions, despite the fact that countries can be located so geographically close to each other, yet having such different styles of architecture, that's what I find fascinating.
How very dare you! We build out stone, not brick. Or we used to anyway. You do see a fair number number of post war wooden houses in the Highlands, funnily enough they were imported from Sweden
These definitely aren’t the worst places in Scotland far from it
Where are the worst places?
Everywhere from John o groats to the borders. Lol Scotland is in the sewers.
thats well racist @@roddymac998
In the 80's I drove around on a quick tour of Scotland. Went up the west coast to Inverness then across to Elgin. Headed down to Perth past all the distilleries. The weather was superb! Even the locals were amazed at the weather! Picture postcard stuff ! I really enjoyed the trip and the people were fantastic! * I retired in Thailand.

Paisley town centre isn't a scheme Ben you are filming next to historic Paisley Abbey lol, a scheme is known as a housing estate. The scheme you filmed was the old Ferguslie park near St.Mirren football ground which sadly is mainly empty on those streets. Great channel , I am sure these places are mild compared to the places you have visited all around the world lol.
I know Paisley is like a small city, it has some beautiful buildings and a very interesting history. They sold it short.
Thanks. Because I'd assumed I was looking a huge cooncil house with an enormous garden but was puzzled by the absence of abandoned sofa and broken toys.
Feegi black necks 🤣
I grew up on Murray St just down the road from Love St heard it’s all changed now
A few days ago there was an ITN news report on YT about British families with primary school age children, and with working parents, that were living in hotel rooms, that were arranged by local councils (there's tens of thousands of families living like this) and one family were even living in a tent in Stoke. All because of the lack of housing in their areas, and high rents now. So it is enraging to see good quality family houses., with gardens, like those in that 'scheme' all boarded up and being left to rot.
This is one thing I’m strongly opposed to with English culture. In most countries housing is treat as a basic human right. But, driven by our corrupt government, in U.K. housing is treat as a business. This is disgusting and astronomical English house prices reflect the damage that’s been done through this approach. Complete inequality as you highlighted
😂😂😂 English families surely

This is amazing, thanks Ben and everyone! I've always been fascinated about both Scotland and Ireland and really enjoyed seeing your visits over there. I grew up in England but with a Mum who was born in Northern Ireland (with a few distant relatives from Govan, Glasgow) and my Dad was from Edinburgh but coinsidentally had some distant Irish relatives too. I went to both places last year too and 100% agree wit you, the people seem so lovely and the places look amazing. For comparison, take a train into London and see how atrocious it is! When I visited both, I looked into houses and couldn't believe the amazing value compared to South England! Honestly for anyone house hunting in future and from anywhere near London, definitely check out Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales - You'll be pleasantly shocked at what you can afford!
Thanks for showing us around Ben. Great videos bro. Cheers!!!😀🍺
I think the windows are made of metal and grills to protect against vandalism or stealing ligthing and plumbing fixtures. Because if glass, very easy to enter, just smash the glass windows and doors. Been to Scotland seeing the city center and went to the huge Kelvingrove Gallery and Art Museum, I wasn't able to finish, like Louvre of Paris, so huge! It has nice exhibits like long swords during early centuries' kingdoms, armor wear for war, various kilts of clans, paintings, treasures, etc. Then went on tour to the Highlands, saw Loch Lomond; Three Sisters (mountain ranges) where Bond's film Skyfall was shot; Glencoe, went on cruise from Urquhart Castle to Lochness; Fort Williams, etc. Love Glasgow ❤
I lived in possilpark and know Saracen street well. Yes it is rough and a shadow of its former self but there are a lot of decent older people who live there. Used to be bustling in the 1960s.
the older people were great, spoke to many
It was also where the majority of intricate ironworks where made and sold all over the UK. It was a boomtown back then
People make the best of it, a lot of businesses there, little government investment.
Thanks Ben. Me having Irish and Scottish heritage along with English and German - probably Viking as well - I enjoyed your video of Scotland and Ireland. It looked like more fun was to be had in Belfast. My Grandfather was from Lisnaskea which is not too far out of Belfast. I traveled to Lisnaskea on leave from the US Navy while we were at port in Portsmouth for some D day rememberance event. Our aircraft carrier was The USS Eisenhower. I said to myself, "I'm taking leave to Ireland!" It happened, by accident/fate, that I chose a guesthouse - just outside of Lisnaskea - that just happened to be on the land once owned by my grandfather's (Robinson) father's land. and my grandfather had been born right across the street. I landed right on the old sod. That ws a trip!
Possilpark isn't in Glasgow city centre, it's a couple of miles out from the centre (shouldn't you have people from Glasgow showing you around who know their stuff? They even said they hardly ever come into the city and usually it's the centre!). And you only really see how rough 'Posso' is when it's at night! Used to live there. Dodgy, yes, but never had any bother, thankfully.
I could tell that estate in Paisley (which is not in Glasgow) was scheduled for demolition, just by looking around at the boarded up windows everywhere (is it really 'rough' if hardly anyone lives there?!). Usually you get one or two brave residents hanging on to eke the most amount of money out of the council (home owners).
As others are saying, 'scheme' doesn't have negative connotations, unless you're being judgey. It just means a council housing estate - typically away from the city centre and somewhat isolated from the rest of the city (at least, Easterhouse was originally like this, and debatably this caused a lot of the social issues there, and in schemes like it).
The Police used to call Paisley "Crazy K" which maybe speaks for its reputation (different areas in and around Glasgow were split into alphabetical letters - they probably still are).
If we're talking rough, some honourable mentions for me would be (at least, going by previous knowledge of these areas): Haghill, Blackhill, Milton, Easterhouse.
A scheme is a Council estate in England and a hood in America!!
Basically 👍
Ghetto,slum etc etc
Hoods are 10000x worse
@@aronjohns4662 Actually, they're not. My dad grew up in a neighborhood that was mostly Irish immigrants in Chicago. By the time I was a kid, the neighborhood had transitioned to mostly black and Puerto Rican families. My grandpa still lived there. It was what you would call a "hood" today. We visited every summer when he was alive, and never had any issues. Our car was never vandalized, the people were friendly, and we had no issues.

Never been troubled in any council estate England or Scotland, have had many talks and gone into local pubs as I work up and down the country. I feel if you go to these places with good intention and actually get talking to people then you'll be fine, obviously always have your wits about you and take in the surroundings because being around people on drugs/drink situations can take a turn. But people shouldn't be out off going into these areas just because of reputation.
Be it more than ten years ago you can't walk freely in any estate your not known in especially for a younger

All banter mate chill. As an English you should know our dark sense of humour and sarcasm
I live in England and I agree it’s a right overpriced, overcrowded, claustrophobic shithole. I’m not afraid to admit it. Yeah I’ll give you the Lake District and Peak District but I definitely wouldn’t call it beautiful in a uniform sense because it isn’t. There’s not really much to see, and people are stupid enough to dip their hands deep into their pockets to live in relatively depressing surroundings for such a price tag
I was born in Paisley but my family moved to London when I was 9mths old. However my gran and aunts and uncles all lived just outside Paisley and I spent many happy Summer holidays up there. I used to love Paisley and it did used to be a lively bustling town with a lot of history but like many towns, when industry is ripped out the heart of it (mills, factories etc) the community suffers. Sad seeing some parts of the town looking so run down and rough, but Scotland is a beautiful place and Scottish people are still some of the nicest people you will meet. 🏴
It really does look beautiful in Scotland.I would love to tour one of those old castles too.
If you think that, beauty-wise, "England is shit" and "there's nothing there" then you can't have seen much of it. It's one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

How can a town centre be a scheme ? It is surrounded by schemes. Also Paisley is not in Glasgow, you may say it basically is but there has to be a line in the sand somewhere.
I think you literally picked the worst two scottish ‘guides’ to show you around. According to them every town is a scheme…was a difficult watch.
can i just point out,
the houses with boards on the windows/metal plating aren’t lived in, they are getting demolished and the window/door panels are to prevent people from e entering, the council will also stop cutting the grass ext to tempt people to move away by themselves instead of them having to pay for new housing come the demolition, as a hole this area *probably* isn’t rough at all, more abandoned for now
(i’m from glasgow and this sort of thing is incredibly common, especially during developments ext, the wyndford in maryhill will look like this soon come the time for the regen)
@@DPhoenixPoet boards on the window 100% mean they are being demolished, houses that are unlived in wouldn’t be boarded up as there would be daily flat viewings ext
if you’re from Glasgow you should know that isnt always the case. Sure the wynford etc, but those bars and metal doors have been in posso for like 10/15 years
Paisley is not a "scheme" it is a large town almost getting city status because it has an Abbey and A University. Where the houses were boarded up, yes that's a "scheme". Why did they show you the nice parts of Paisley? It is not part of Glasgow. Possilpark is two miles from Glasgow City centre. Traditional Scottish breakfast is same as English inly with haggis and black pudding. That first castle was Inveraray Castle in Inveraray the seat of the Campbell Clan. Haggis is a healthy food. We're a beautiful country and people.
Nice parts of Paisley? Kinda my thoughts too, Paisley toon centre is indeed "nice" all greenery and sandstone. It's hardly Gaza.
Paisley is not Glasgow, it is a separate town. 20 years ago, you would never have been able to walk around Ferguslie Park freely, it has changed, for the better. Stay away from the junkies, they will not hesitate to rob you, lucky police were present & watching them.
Great to see you on the north coast of N.I. The weather looked superb at the Mussenden Temple. Next time visit the Giants Causeway, carrack-a-rede rope bridge and the old Bushmills distillery.
the boarded up windows are the council forcing people out of their homes, when the council house become empty instead of rehousing people they leave them empty in order to bring the prices down for home owner who then get their home compulsory purchased with a price that they cannot afford to rebye anywhere as they bought their original council house cheaply, new houses are built but of course the people from the area cant afford them and very few are for rent
i am glad you liked Scotland, shame we didnt see more of it, i have always felt safe there

The one time when I didn't felt safe in Scotland was when I went to Glasgow and it was night time some foreigner I think eastern European or something like that had a fake printed out picture of a baby and tried to scam me out of my money and also tried to get me in a taxi.

The Saracen Head (Sarry Heid) at The Barrowlands is the oldest pub in Glasgow, I'm not sure this is same pub. They should've taken you there as well Barrowlands is a legendary dance hall music venue.
@@nifflofair6685 It was the weekend when Celtic v ICT was called off because part of the roof fell down. We went to the Barrowlands market on the Sunday. We were in Possilpark the Saturday night. I think the pubs are different.
@@nifflofair6685The Saracen Bar in the video is in Saracen Street, Possilpark in the north side of Glasgow.
The Saracen’s Head (Sarry Heid) is as you said, in the Gallowgate in the East End so definitely two different pubs.
Your in Paisley, that was a wild start to see - thats where i live! Gutted to have missed you id have loved to say hello! Paisley is like many towns in Scotland, it has some nice parts and some not so nice parts
I’d go back. Was a good place 🏴👌🏼
half of it is a dump, but generally everyone in it as as they say a good c*nt @@BackpackerBen
😎👏🏼
I was just as happy as the others when you said you loved the haggis. I too love haggis, also from the chippie a haggis supper is magic.
Really glad that the actual Scottish ppl couldn’t tell him anything about anywhere. So basically they met up with this guy and drove round areas laughing at the poorer classes . Classy.
Middle-class Safari Ride.
I love Scotland Edinburgh and Inverness are my go to Scotland gems
13:39 I've never scene someone so clueless about his own country as Ben. Scotland is Beautiful but England has the lake district, Yorkshire , the cotswolds etc. Sounds like hes been to Outer Mongolia but not the Pennines.
Lake District is stunning when the sun is shining, sadly it never is... 🤪
@@chrishancock1990 You could say the same about Scotland. I love scotland btw.
Ooooooooioooo
Rain 99% of the year
Overpriced
England has like 5 beauty spots
Nothing else and that’s a fact
Been to Scotland a couple of times , beautiful place and the folk are sound .👍
Spot on
Lol….see the truth on Sunday.
Love the video! Looking forward to more. Richard in Reno
More to come! Cheers mate
Great video Ben. Glad you took the couple a long to explore their country. Seemed they knew less about their neighborhoods and country than you did.😮😂 Nice couple though
I know, they were nice but clueless.
Lol...they were completely clueless.
Two Scots that don't know the meaning of "Scheme."😬
Ben it is like the old joke. An Englishman a Scotsman and an Irishman walk into a bar. They order three pints of Guinness in fly in three flies and land in their drinks. The Englishman is disgusted and walks away. The Scotsman pulls the fly out and drinks his Guinness. The Irishman pulls out the fly and yells spit me Guinness out you beetch.😊 listening to some of those Scots was like trying to understand Ozzy Osbourne.
Good old Ozzy. Poor bastard is so far gone, I’m shocked he’s still alive!
Been all over the globe with you, this was more fun than any for me. Makes me want to ruin my liver in Scotland and Northern Ireland!
😆😆👍👍
You've got to come to the South Welsh Valleys mate. I used to work there for years in community mental health. The Gurnos Estate in Merthyr Tydfil is infamous. Lansbury Park in Carephilly is like the Bronx. Plus other towns like Aberdare, and this crazy partly abandoned estate on the top of Penrhys hill near Porth....it's like the land that time forgot. It'd be absolute gold.
I looked those places up, and they look nice, hardly a flat in sight and no boarded up windows. The scheme I grew up in (Easdale st.leonards east kilbride) isn't rough for Glasgow standards but looks much more rough than the places you mentioned!
@@Adolphin1 Nice? LMAO where can I get a draw of what you've been smoking? 🤣Within the first 30 seconds of looking at Penrhys on Google Streetview, I could see tinned up houses. Just imagine a place like Barrafield or Blackhull in the middle of nowhere and there ye huv Penrhys.
@@Adolphin1
Mate thr Gurnos is _not_ *nice*
🤪
Lol! Sounds like a desirable place to live. What's the house prices like? He's been to England, Scotland and N.Ireland but didn't mention Wales? 😮
Enjoying this thanks ..I’m Scottish from Perth ,I think your friends there have got the definition of the scheme slightly wrong …a scheme in Scotland is the equivalent to a housing estate in England, …where i live now
I think a housing estate is all bought houses, a housing scheme is mainly council houses
@@brmc6145 could be maybe ,you have me thinking now 👍
I agree i come from England live in Glasgow , a scheme is a housing estate
What a fun few days😆 your turn to show us around Plymouth next…..
Thanks for having me guys!! Loved it 🏴👏🏼 until our next adventure
What an awesome country! I can't wait to see it properly! I need to get to N Ireland as well! They've got a 'crackin' accent! ; )
Some areas of Glasgow are literal hellholes. I come from a wee village near Aberdeen and we had a youth Scottish cup game in Easterhouse against a team called Boscow Rangers. Every flat had a broken window or was boarded up, the football pitches were ash. First time I'd ever played football and grass wasn't involved.
I'm from Barrhead which is next to Paisley, I've lived in London for 25 years so can't really comment on what things are like up there today but Scotland and in particular Glasgow has some of THE best clubs in the world and the longest running house music club in the world which is the Sub Club on Jamaica St Glasgow, if you are still there go on Saturday night and you'll have a night to remember.
The metal grates where the windows used to be on the houses were put there to prevent thieves from breaking in to steal copper from wires and pipes.
We referred to them as "Iron Curtains".
Also i've lived in Paisley for the past 40 years and all i can say is that it is a complete shithole.
Welcome to Sunny Scotland Ben.
Thanks for telling us mate 👍 window mystery solved
They've upgraded, used to be Widden windaes in the schemes roon the toons ;-)
@@Celtic4Life9 It seems tae be the one and only upgrade they've done mate. HH
@@BigBhoy67 It's sad how the local councils have allowed this to happen, some of the town centres are derelict, when the towns were vibrant at one time, everybody looked out for each other in the community HH
That one was a bit obvious Ben,mind me saying @@BackpackerBen
Quality video ma man. Nice wee mixture of the Bonnie... yAAs! 🤣
I did notice the last time I was in Saracen street it was filthy . You should have gone into the lounge in the Saracen Bar its lovely and its clean ! The people of Glasgow are friendly and some of the nicest people you can meet ,they would give you their last penny !
Is UK becoming a 3th world country? Damn it's quite depressive. I love Scotland BTW. Gonna be the 4 trips in October. Skye island here we come
Looks like the Central government are taking us that way. Its a disgrace people put up with it.
Lol a 3th world country.
Glasgow for the most part is pretty safe and has as much upscale neighbourhoods as it does poor ones they chose probably the worst street to go down when they went to Saracen st the place is a dump but there’s always places like that everywhere, hope you enjoy your visit
These areas are pretty nice, note nearly as rough as any half decent developing country.
The entire point was to show the worst areas - Glasgow has plenty of wonderful areas and some of the finest Victorian architecture in the World.
Go to virtually* ANY city and you'll be able to find run down areas.
*Don't know about Geneva, Monaco or Luxembourg, but go to Rome, Paris or Barcelona and you'll have no problem finding deprivation and squalor.
Paisley is not Glasgow.
Aye it is
I'm going to take a wild guess here that the reason for the boarded up windows is from people hurling rocks through those windows when people got too drunk and angry at someone. Haggis, never tried it; generally speaking, anything covered in gravy has to be good. At the least it can't be all bad.
Kiszka, a Polish pig liver, blood and barley cold sausage, it's phenomenal. I love it with stone ground mustard, a slice of thinly cut Swiss cheese and a piece of whole grain toasted bread. You can fry it too. Some people like to fry it up and you can even eat it with eggs. It's wrapped up in a waxed paper of some sort and you cut slices off of it and peel off the waxed paper. I can only get it once a year where I live. On holidays. Only two butchers in the entire town make it. Both of then are ancient. That Haggis was almost as big as your head. Kiszka is good with a cold beer too.
Alan and Shannon, I'll have to check out their RUclips show. I like Guinness. Good beer. The thing about Guinness is that if you start out drinking it you finish the night drinking it because if you mix any hard liquor in there you will be tossing it up later at some point in time.
That black pudding you had for breakfast looks like a large oversized piece of Kizska without the barley in it. I notice that an English breakfast has no whole grains, no toast! There's a certain type of cholesterol that is converted to vitamin D by the Sun which lowers overall blood cholesterol levels. Read that on the internet the other day.
I love the Scottish accent and the highlands! What camera do you use?
There are about 100 Scottish accents.
